Well, on the foreign policy side, there has been negligible change.

On the domestic side, there has been a great deal -- none of it any damn good.

That would be my serious answer in a nutshell.

Well Change we can believe in... we all believed that his reign will end in more tyranny so he kept his word. Now we should ask the Obamanoids what they think now. That would be quite interesting. Thats why we need to abolish secret elections. If there is a log about who voted for who then people would be more careful who they vote for and we can specificly ask them. So after the dictator falls noone can lie and say he didnt vote for him. Its kinda stupid really... why have a secret vote? It benefits the fraudsters.

Why don't you abolish secret elections in Deutschland first and see how that works out there.

That is one of the most asinine suggestions I have seen around here in a long time.

Was that just a "modest suggestion" or can you really type without thinking?

You've said a lot of things that are out there, but that takes the cake.

We don't need to abolish any more of our consitutional republic than our politicians already have.

Not one bit.

Hands down, not just batshit crazy, asinine.

Obviously Smiley we all can make mistakes...

I think most of us have found that we got incorrect change  - but maybe they should b made to have to put the totals on the voting machines? A secret ballot is one thing but a secret result is something else entirely.

It seems you misunderstood... I dont want to see elections being abolished I want them to be not secret anymore. Meaning that 10000 people vote for A, 8000 people vote for B and then B wins cause thats what the results say on TV. No one can check if the vote you gave was actually counted correctly. Especially with electronic voting where the machine can swap them. Why the sudden explosion of rage and insults against me?

A controlled issuance, untraceable, anonymous ballot is sacrosanct to the process, it protects the voter from coercion.

What I'm saying in response here is that in multiple choice contests there's no justification for hiding the current tally.

Knowing the current standings would make it easier for people to make their final decision and vote strategically rather than wasting votes picking the lesser of two evils.

In the current system only people on the west coast get to do this, why don't polls open later in the east?

No, I got that.

That is actually a stupid idea.

And I have never said that to anyone on this forum before.

Like WTF?

Mr. iks,

Why is getting rid of the secret ballot system a stupid idea?

Are you with the Communists or against them?

It's really that simple.

Should people be punished for the way they vote?

Because under the current corrupt system that is exactly what would happen in the Soviet-American police state.

You really don't get that.

America right now is not a Swiss canton.

Wake the fu#% up.

Oh, but thanks for trying to illuminate me.

Exactly.

It is a very simple concept.

How somebody cannot get that is just beyond me.

I am of course aware of that and know that it won't work under the current regime. But what about petitions? You are listed by name on there... so we need to get rid of them now?
There should be an easy way for everyone to verify that when they cast a vote that the vote is counted correctly and not switches party from input to end result. I'm thinking about the future here. I would like to see Internet elections one day... that dont need fingerprints or a dna sample so please dont start on that. Seriously its like a Kindergarden.

Anyways never mind then. It was just an idea. Thanks for all the insults. Now back to Obama then.

Good.

It's not like we don't have enough on our hands.

Speaking of hands, sorry if I was too heavy-handed.  I'm sure you can take it, though.

I have seen you dish it out.

Q: What do I think ?

A: I think that I could never have predicted that the government of my country
could have fallen so low... or be led by a "pretty face"
who is obviously attempting to hypnotise
the American people using NLP techniques.

I am amazed that so many of my psychologist friends
cannot see this sham of a production for what it is,
and have been taken in by this pseudo-left-wing liar.
They still want to give him a chance !

Q: How do I feel ?

I am thoroughly disgusted with the low level of morality this government demonstrates.
I am grateful that I am not living in the USA right now,
as I would be trying to survive in a cardboard box.
I dread getting into taxi cabs where my Muslim drivers seriously ask me:
"What do you think of Obama ?"
I feel that I owe many people an apology  for the wrong that the USA is doing
under this administration , and since I may be the ONLY American that many meet,
I apologise, then begin to cry.

Most of all, I am heart-broken that the USA is in the chaotic shape that it is today.
I cry at least every 2 weeks that my country no longer feels like my country to me.
I feel homesick and homeless at the same time,
and angry that more Americans are not waking up and changing this government.

I haven't watched Obama in a long while as I skip his speeches and when I did peak at his latest, his grey hair speaks volumes in which I don't even have to say a word.
