Warning to all you that checked to be be a donor on your driver's license in case of your death---GET OFF NOW BECAUSE DICK NEEDS A HEART.

WASHINGTON – Former Vice President Dick Cheney says he believes he'll have to make a decision on whether to have a heart transplant given his medical history.
Cheney tells NBC in an interview that he's getting by now on a battery-powered heart pump, which makes it "awkward to walk around." He also says he hasn't made a decision yet on a transplant, but adds that "the technology is getting better and better."
Cheney tells the network in an interview, "I'll have to make a decision at some point whether I want to go for a transplant."

I hate to say this but I don`t think he deserves a new heart. He has done too many vile things in life to deserve a second chance.

How many hearts is this guy gonna require?  Didn't we go through this before?

In fact, are we living in an alternate timeline?

Didn't he have a translplant before the pump was installed?

I'm surprised there isn't an orphanage in Paraguay filled with Cheney clones to keep him in spare parts.

There isn't, right?  Sometimes I think things that scare myself.

Why is he so convinced he deserves a new heart?

Did he ever use the one he was born with?

A donor heart stays usable for no more than 6 hours outside the body.

If he was an ordinary American under Obamacare, he wouldn't even be considered for a transplant.

Back in 1993, when Pennsylvania's Governor Casey needed a heart & liver transplant, someone with compatible organs was conveniently bludgeoned to death within a few days.  Coincidence?

Fairness Debated in Quick Transplant
http://www.nytimes.com/1993/06/16/us/fairness-debated-in-quick-transplant.html
By LISA BELKIN
Published: June 16, 1993

Since Gov. Robert P. Casey of Pennsylvania received a new heart and liver in a 15-hour operation on Monday, the question being asked by doctors, experts in medical ethics, radio talk show hosts and their call-in listeners is: How did the Governor jump to the head of the organ-transplant line?

It took less than a day to find a suitable donor for Governor Casey, in contrast to average patients who wait 67 days for a new liver and 198 days for a new heart.

The agencies that regulate organ transplants in the United States say luck and the desperate state of the Governor's health determined the speed with which the operation was scheduled.

Mr. Casey was still in critical but stable condition last night at Presbyterian University Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was fully awake and alert, and his new heart and liver were functioning well, the hospital said.

The organs Mr. Casey received came from the body of 34-year-old William Michael Lucas, who police said was savagely beaten with clubs and guns on June 6 on the steps of his family's home in Monessen, 30 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Experts agree that in the case of Mr. Casey, who suffers from a rare disease called familial amyloidosis, the system does not seem to have been blatantly manipulated.

Because of the disease, Mr. Casey's liver was producing an abnormal protein that was attacking and weakening his other organs, especially his heart. Tests found that his heart was not only too weak to withstand a liver transplant, but also too weak to allow him even to leave the hospital.

Nonetheless, the Governor's short wait on the long waiting list is bringing new attention to an uncomfortable reality of organ transplants: while the entire system is based on the perception of fairness, it can not, in actuality, be truly fair. (continued)

Gov. Casey's life saved by heart, liver of black man beaten to death by gang -
organ transplant operation of Pennsylvania Governor Robert P. Casey

Jet, July 5, 1993

The heart and liver of a 34-year-old Black man who was severely beaten and later pronounced brain dead, were recently donated to Pennsylvania Gov. Robert P. Casey during a 13 1/2 hour organs transplant operation.

Police said William Michael Lucas, 34, was attacked by several youths in what was believed to have been a gang-related incident in Pittsburgh, the Washington Post reported, No arrests had been made at Jet press time.

"My son had a strong heart," said Frances Lucas at a press conference in Pittsburgh. "He had a good heart."

Gov. Casey was doing well at Presbyterian University Hospital at JET press time. "He's doing about as good as anyone on the operating team could have hoped," a hospital spokesperson said.

Lucas' Kidneys were donated to two other men who were not identified.

Ms. Lucas described her son as a giving person and said she knew he would have wanted to donate his organs to help others enjoy life. William Lucas' sister, Yvonne, said the family hopes there will be arrests soon for the murder of her brother. "There is such determination on our part to get this crime solved. I want some attention paid to this. I want to find out who did this to my brother and why."

Drug kingpin got free rein
http://www.post-gazette.com/neigh_westmoreland/20001221jail2.asp
Thursday, December 21, 2000

By Ernie Hoffman, Post-Gazette Staff Writer

Life in the Westmoreland County Prison was like another day at the office, with a few extras thrown in, for convicted drug kingpin Ronald Whethers, according to a scathing report from a state grand jury that was released yesterday.

"Ronald Whethers acted like he was a little warden in the jail," state Attorney General Mike Fisher told a news conference at the State Police Training Center in Unity.

Whethers, already under a life sentence in federal court for drug-dealing and racketeering and awaiting trial on a murder charge in the Westmoreland facility, continued to run a half-million-dollar a year illicit drug operation there with the help of some guards, one of whom is accused of smuggling a cell phone to him, Fisher said.

Whethers was afforded special food, including late-night snacks of chicken wings and french fries and when he felt like partying on the weekend, he'd even order alcoholic beverages brought in, the attorney general said.

"It's certainly not a pretty picture," Fisher said of the prison operation as portrayed in the report, approved by Dauphin County Common Pleas Judge Isaac Garb after a seven-month investigation into Whethers' operation.

The report was especially critical of the actions of several unnamed guards and some prison administrators, including Warden Kurt Scalzott.

As a result, Scalzott's job could be on the line this afternoon, when the county Prison Board meets in Greensburg. Some members said it certainly will be a topic of discussion, but the warden told reporters he will not resign the job he has held since the facility opened in 1993.

The grand jury investigation was prompted by a June 22 raid on the prison. State police and Fisher's agents arrested Whethers, his daughter Rachel, guard Anthony Shawley of Derry and four other persons accused of being part of the drug ring.

Yesterday, state police fanned out with warrants for the arrest of 20 other persons, one of them a guard.

The grand jury -- which heard testimony from prisoners, guards and officials at the prison -- said Whethers used a cell phone or pager to run his drug ring and that he bribed Shawley to smuggle drugs, pagers and several cell phones into prison.

It also said guard Arthur Maljan, 44, of West Newton, another of those charged yesterday, accepted a large amount of cocaine from Whethers in return for doing favors for the inmate.

Fisher said Shawley, Maljan and other guards often smoked marijuana in the prison parking lot after they finished their shifts.

Fisher said the investigation also uncovered evidence of gambling by some guards, but he refused to comment on reports of sexual liaisons between inmates and staffers or other reports about irregularities in the food-service operation at the prison.

Don Svetkovich, president of United Mine Workers of America Local 522, which represents about 130 guards at the Hempfield lockup, defended Shawley and Maljan. "I thought they were good guys," he said.

The grand jury said the illicit drug ring operated undetected for two years because lack of security at the prison provided a "free opportunity to commit crime." Police learned of it when one of Whethers' dealers sold drugs to an undercover state trooper.

Inmates in the prison's D Unit smoked crack cocaine and marijuana, then blew the fumes into a toilet and flushed it to escape detection, Fisher said.

Whethers was allowed to go to the prison medical department when he wished, and there he would meet and talk with other prisoners, according to the grand jury.

"The medical department was more of a social club for Whethers than a place to receive treatment," Fisher said.

Some guards testified that the behavior of other guards disturbed them. They said these guards watched television, played cards and fraternized with the inmates.

Some inmates also were given advance warnings of searches.

Some prisoners testified that guards looked the other way when inmates beat up other inmates or stole things from them.

"Whethers was involved in virtually all of the operation," Fisher said.

Fisher said there was no evidence of criminality among the guards except for Shawley, Maljan and a third person who no longer works at the prison. He said he did not contemplate the arrests of any more guards, but he would not say that the investigation had ended.

Fisher also said that the guards who were not named in the report could face disciplinary action by the county if the courts would approve the release of their names.

Some members of the prison board said some changes could be made today, but others said they would prefer more facts before anybody is fired or new orders are issued.

County Commissioner P. Scott Conner, a prison board member, said many of the grand jury's 14 recommendations were similar to those made after the state Corrections Department inspected the prison in August. And some of those have been implemented already, he said.

But Conner, an outspoken foe of Scalzott, said more changes are needed.

District Attorney John W. Peck, another board member, said he needs more information before proceeding. He also said the board as a whole has never discussed firing Scalzott.

Scalzott said he had not read the entire grand jury report and would not comment on it.

Whethers, now 41, was arrested in 1995 for ordering the June 1993 fatal beating of William Michael Lucas, whose heart and liver were transplanted into then-Gov. Robert P. Casey.

But through a series of appeals and other legal maneuvers, Whethers was able to avoid trial as he waited in the county prison, even though he was convicted in U.S. District Court in the meantime on drug and money-laundering charges.

Finally, Whethers pleaded no-contest on Oct. 26 to third-degree murder and pleaded guilty to drug and racketeering charges stemming from incidents at the prison and from a Fayette County-based drug operation he once headed.

Wow. So we'll have to see who gets whacked to give Cheney a new heart.
Time is short... only a couple of weeks, unless they blatantly ignore the law (and that would not be a surprise; so what else is new?)
But if he gets a heart from someone who 'tragically' was murdered, then we'll have to consider that life-saving coincidence has struck again.

I know I am not suppose to be so blunt but `f**k Chaney!` Seriously yall! That bastard clearly does not deserve a new heart! If he does get a new heart then a crime against humanity has just went down. Who the hell does this guy think he is anyway. We should go ahead and let the devil have him already. Serves him right! After all the murder, pain and suffering he has had a hand in over the years there is no way in hell anyone can honestly say he needs a new heart. Put him at the back of the line I say. Make him wait just like everyone else.

China to expand use of lethal injections for death sentences - 2008 - 2011

Made in China

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1165416/Chinas-hi-tech-death-van-criminals-executed-organs-sold-black-market.html
27th March 2009 - China's hi-tech 'death van' where criminals are executed and then their organs are sold on black market

Disguised: The execution vehicle looks like a normal police van

... there will be nothing ordinary about Yong's death by lethal injection. Unless he wins an appeal, he will draw his final breath strapped inside a vehicle that has been specially developed to make executions more cost-effective and efficient.
...

After checking that the victim is dead, the medical team first remove the eyes. Then, wearing surgical gowns and masks, they remove the kidney, liver, pancreas and lungs.

Little goes to waste, though the heart cannot be used, having been poisoned by the drugs.

The organs are dispatched in ice boxes to hospitals in the sprawling cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which have developed another specialist trade: selling the harvested organs.

At clinics all over China, these organs are transplanted into the ailing bodies of the wealthy - and thousands more who come as 'organ tourists' from neighbouring countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

Chinese hospitals perform up to 20,000 organ transplants each year. A kidney transplant in China costs £5,000, but can rise to £30,000 if the patient is willing to pay more to obtain an organ quickly.

With more than 10,000 kidney transplants carried out each year, fewer than 300 come from voluntary donations. The British Transplantation Society and Amnesty International have condemned China for harvesting prisoners' organs.

Laws introduced in 2006 make it an offence to remove the organs of people against their will, and banned those under 18 from selling their organs.  But, tellingly, the law does not cover prisoners.

http://newtech.aurum3.com/technology/chinas-mobile-execution-buses/
February 11th, 2009

Gone are the days of firing squad. That is so old school. Now China has introduced the mobile execution bus where lethal injection are administered, organs are harvested and execution videos streamed back to local law authorities.

There are now at least 40 such buses going the rounds in China.

And  the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,  ye have done it unto me.

Well, if people were playing by the rules in the U.S. he wouldn't be qualified for a heart transplant.  We can argue about what the rules should be, but that doesn't alter the fact that the only way this ripe royal bastard is going to get one is if the rules are broken for him.

There's an issue of fairness at stake here I think regrdless of what one may think of the transplant rules, and it has nothing to do with whether he would receive treatment or not as he is quite wealthy enough not to need or qualify for much public assistance having a new heart installed as it were.

I just hate to see any rules broken for this evil old geezer.

Do I think that is the same as Bill Gates saying grandma needs to die so we can hire more teachers?

Hell no.

Not even in the same ballpark.

Cardiac specialists are still unable to explain as to why Mr. Cheney's own perfectly good heart has rejected him...

Well just look at Lenin`s ultimate fate for a perfect example of what happens to truly evil people.

No doubt if he gets one, his new heart will come illegally from a Chinese "Terrorist".

It still surprises me that the mobile execution vans get over looked by not only the US mass media but the international media as well. Hell, I live in Japan and the Japanese media looks for any reason to jump all over China and even the J-media does not touch the M.E.V. issue.

There are stories of people who develop the traits of people they recieve a heart from after a transplant. Men who recieve a heart donated by an artist for example can become artistic. So I wonder, if you were to give Cheney the heart of a loving noble person, do you think that would turn Cheney into one?

Cheney's heart transplant will cost teachers their jobs.

Where's Bill Gates' death panels when you need 'em?

Here is a interesting idea. If death panels are so good then let`s have the ones pushing for it go up before these panels first.
