Hey MonkeyPuppet, I finally got the chance to look into Dave Champion via the link in your signature and I'm really liking his stuff. I haven't viewed/heard any of the AV stuff but his writings are very good. I think I get the point, now, that the Income Tax itself isn't unconstitutional or immoral per se, but that we as a society just fail to understand the applicability of it. That might be obvious to many but Dave's writings are starting to hammer that home for me. Common Mistakes To Watch For

However, what you'll find in his point of view is that regardless of the moral righteousness of standing one's ground, the fight is not with the IRS. After you read the book you'll understand that very clearly. With regard to contracts, again, the problem is not with the IRS and you'd be hard-pressed to find a court (funded by those ill-gotten tax dollars!) that would uphold the law in light of actual fact and instead will rely upon the same manufactured evidence that got you in hot water in the first place.
