http://www.todaysthv.com/news/natInt/story.aspx?storyid=138025&catid=288TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -- The suspect in a deadly Arizona shooting ran a red light and was stopped by a wildlife officer less than three hours before the attack that wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. The Arizona Game and Fish Department says an officer stopped Jared Loughner at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The officer took Loughner's driver's license and vehicle registration information. Dispatchers checked the information and found no outstanding warrants on Loughner or his vehicle. He was given a verbal warning and released. (Copyright 2011 by The Associated Press. This conflicts with his parent's narrative that Jared ran off into the desert with a black bag that same morning.
Driving and running are two different modes of transportation.
Plus he got dropped off by a taxi cab at Safeway.

Since when did "wildlife officers" start doing traffic enforcement?
Wasn't there a story in Liberty not too long ago like that?

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/jan/12/officers-stopped-suspect-on-day-of-ariz-shooting/Also that morning, Loughner, 22, ran into the desert from his angry father, who was chasing his son after seeing him remove a black bag from the trunk of a family car, said Rick Kastigar, chief of the department's investigations bureau. Investigators are still searching for the bag. Maybe the wildlife officer now has the black bag.

So he runs into the desert, gets his car, runs a red light, ditches the car and hops in a cab? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41034421/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/Early that morning, a mumbling Loughner fled after his father asked him why he was removing a black bag from the trunk of a family car, said Rick Kastigar, chief of the department's investigations bureau. Investigators are still searching for the bag. About 7:30 a.m., Loughner ran a red light and was stopped by a wildlife officer. Also, most stories related to Loughner and "black bag" are oddly written: (three examples) http://www.kfdm.com/news/loughner-40976-jared-parents.htmlTUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Mysterious black bag in hand, Jared Loughner ran into the desert, his angry father in futile pursuit of his truck.http://m.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/arizona-shooting/father-of-arizona-shooting-suspect-confronted-son-hours-before-massacre/article1866805/?service=mobileMysterious black bag in hand, Jared Loughner ran into the desert, his angry father stopping pursuit in his truck.AP talking points... CBS and the Globe & Mail references are identical - the repeaters are disgusting IMO (where's the original/independent investigation?) http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/01/12/national/main7238536.shtmlMysterious black bag in hand, Jared Loughner ran into the desert, his angry father stopping pursuit in his truck.http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nation/7377488.html"The bag is very important to us," said Capt. Chris Nanos, head of the Pima County Sheriff's Department's criminal investigations division. "What was in that bag and is there any relevance?"

There's a new angle up at prison planet that he may have been infatuated with Giffords, romantically. ------- Now that the contrived idea that heated political rhetoric from conservatives has been rejected as a motivation behind Jared Lee Loughner’s tragic rampage in which Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was targeted, Loughner’s documented obsession with Giffords indicates that he may have been infatuated with the Arizona Democrat. http://www.prisonplanet.com/was-loughner-in-love-with-congresswoman-giffords.html------- If there's anything to it, the black bag might contain stuff from his shrine to her (if he had one), which might indicate he burned or buried it out in the desert. Pure speculation, though.
