Ashley Turton, former Hill aide, dead in burning car
By Paul Duggan
Paul Duggan

The wife of a key White House aide was found dead early Monday in a sport-utility vehicle that was heavily damaged by fire in the garage of the couple's Capitol Hill home, sources familiar with the incident said. The cause of her death is uncertain.

Ashley W. Turton, 37, an energy company lobbyist and one-time top aide to former U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), was found dead shortly before 5 a.m. in a burning BMW, the back end of which was partly out of the garage, as if the vehicle had been entering or leaving when the fire started, authorities said

Turton was the wife of Daniel A. Turton, 43, the White House's deputy director of legislative affairs for the U.S. House. As such, he is President Obama's point man on legislation moving through the House.

Hmm...energy lobbyists, eh?

That car doesn't look like it was burning that long.

One wonders if anyone seen the movie, "Casino" and what they did to Robert DeNiro's car in there?

Yeah, that car is in pretty good shape. Either the garages sprinkler system kept it at bay, or they got to it realllllly fast. Cars can go up just as fast or faster than a mobile home can. For comparison, a mobile home can go up in 7 minutes flat.

I did find the energy lobbyist part very telling. I wonder what her current connections where, and why someone would suddenly seek to silence her, or make her disappear.

Maybe she was already dead before the fire and her murderer tried burning the body along with other evidence?

That's a definite possibility--and we are dealing with mafia and that is their MO.

Or when she went to start the car, there was a firebomb rigged in her ignition switch.

Highly likely, far more likely than her car catching fire and her dying in it. Also possible would be a bomb/firebomb.

And here comes the scripted spin!

Pattern of anti-government attacks emerges over single week

By David Edwards
Monday, January 10th, 2011 -- 1:26 pm

A pattern of violence against the US government appears to have emerged over the last week, and another dead body connected to political inner-circles who turned up Monday has some on capitol hill trying their best not to speculate.

Authorities discovered Ashley Turton, former chief of staff to Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), dead in a burnt-out car Monday. Turton's husband was Dan Turton, the White House liaison to the House of Representatives.

She was employed as a lobbyist for Progress Energy at the time of her death.

And Turton is just the latest: a well-heeled former chief of staff to the president of Arizona's state senate was found dead of a gunshot wound in mid-December. Police were investigating it as a homicide.

Washington DC Fire and Metropolitan Police departments found Turton's BMW in a garage on the 800 block of A Street Southeast.

DC Lobbyist Ashley Turton, 37, dies in freak car fire in her own garage
http://www.examiner.com/celebrity-headlines-in-tucson/dc-lobbyist-ashley-turton-37-dies-freak-car-fire-her-own-garage
    * January 10th, 2011 2:00 pm MT

It appears Washington energy lobbyist and former Capitol Hill aide Ashley Turton, 37, died Monday morning after apparently becoming trapped in a horrific car fire. The body of Ashley Turton, mother-of-three and wife of White House aide Daniel Turton, was found in a burned BMW, which is presumably her own car, inside the partially-burned garage of what is believed to be her family's Capitol Hill home.

Tucson residents may recall the shocking, fiery death of Tucson millionaire and real estate developer Gary Triano in what turned out to be a car bomb attack. Gary Triano was killed on Nov. 1, 1996, when a bomb placed in his car exploded outside the Westin La Paloma Country Club. Many years later, in 2006, police announced they suspected Triano's ex-wife, Pamela Phillips, in the slaying.

Well-known Washington Lobbyist Ashley Turton, 37, Dies In Freak Car Fire

Fire personnel and police responded to 911 calls made by neighbors just before dawn Monday morning, and found Ashley Turton dead at the scene. According to reports on rollcall.com, the vehicle was still on fire inside the garage when first responders arrived, and Turton's body was discovered once the fire was put out.

While the cause of this morning's tragic incident on the 800 block of A Street Southeast in Washington, D.C., has not yet been determined, police are not ruling anything out. Whether a freak accident or a homicide, authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation in the Capitol Hill neighborhood to try and understand why Ashley Turton lost her life this morning before she even left her home. Let's hope it was nothing as sinister as what took place in our own backyard all those years ago.

Our thoughts are with the Turton family at this tragic time. Our hearts absolutely break for Ashley Turton's three young children; two twin boys, and a daughter, all under age five. We hope they all get the answers they deserve, but know their pain will never heal.

Ashley Turton, ex-Congressional aide, found dead in burning car

By JOSH GERSTEIN & JOHN BRESNAHAN | 1/10/11 10:49 AM EST Updated: 1/10/11 3:42 PM EST

A veteran Congressional aide who worked most recently as a lobbyist and was married to White House legislative affairs senior official was found dead in her car Monday behind the couple’s Capitol Hill home following a low-speed car crash and subsequent fire.

Ashley Turton, whose husband, Dan, is the White House’s deputy director of legislative affairs for the U.S. House, died in the early-morning incident in the garage behind 800 A Street, NE, friends, her employer and Congressional leadership aides said. City fire and police units responded to the vicinity of the home at about 5 A.M. Monday, according to fire department spokesman Pete Piringer.

[...]

Ashley Turton worked as an aide to former Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.) and then as chief of staff to Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.). She later became a lobbyist for Progress Energy, a North Carolina-based utility company. Dan Turton spent about 10 years as an aide to Gephardt before working for a few years as a lobbyist and then joining the House Rules Committee staff of Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.) He took the White House job when President Barack Obama came into office in 2009.

[...]

Authorities have not determined the exact cause of the crash or why the car caught fire. Neighbors say Ashley Turton was heading to airport for an early flight.

“The leading theory is accidental [that] the car crashed through the garage doors and…was found on fire in the garage area,” Piringer said, adding that the incident is under joint investigation by the fire and police departments. “There were some unusual circumstances – just the way the car was, low-speed, significant fire, things like that….For the most part, the fire was confined to the area of origin.”

[...]

Progress Energy on Monday announced a merger with Duke Energy that would create the country’s largest utility company, Hughes said. Turton would have played a key role on Capitol Hill discussing the merger,

The Metropolitan Police Department would not confirm it was Turton, but did tell the Daily News that cops were called to the scene of an "accident" on the 800 block of A Street, in the city's southeast section, where the Turtons live.

According to WTOP radio news in D.C., it is unclear how the vehicle caught fire, but a neighbor said it was backing out of the garage at the time of the incident.

Backing out? The images do not look like there was any impact damage to the rear of the BMW. Could it be an incendiary device that they are not yet reporting?

RIP Ashley..my sympathy for the family..
Sketchy reports as usual. A good indication the offical report is being implanted.SOP
Am I looking at the wrong car, the report states the auto crashed through garage doors, I don't see any damage.
I agreee with Geogia C, a car can be engulfed in flame in about ten minutes, but I beleive that it requires the gas tank is ignited.
ASHLEY:She lobbied for Progress Energy After leaving the Hill, Turton began working in 2007 as a regulatory analyst for Progress Energy, a North Carolina-based utility company. Progress Energy is also in the news today because of a possible $13.7 billion merger with Duke Energy.
She was a family woman The Turtons have three children, as this picture from her Facebook page shows. According to neighbors, the children are all under 5 years old. The couple purchased the home in Southeast D.C. for $826,000 in 2003.

Dan Turton

Current Position: White House Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. House (since January 2009)
Boss: Director of Legislative Affairs Phil Schiliro

As a top Hill aide with more than 10 years of experience, Turton brings connections and context to his job in the Obama administration. He worked as a top aide to former Majority Leader Richard A. Gephardt (D-Miss.) for about 10 years before leaving the Hill for a lobbying firm. He returned in 2006 as a key staffer to then-House Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter (D-N.Y.).

In January 2011, Turton's wife, Ashley, was found dead in her fire-damaged vehicle in the garage of the couple's Capitol Hill home. Turton serves as President Barack Obama’s point man for guiding his legislative agenda through the House. Though he was officially appointed to the job in January 2009, Turton started working well before that date with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to convince key players to support the president’s $800 billion economic stimulus package.

Turton worked to push the White House's agenda throughout the 111th Congress, one of the most productive in history, and continues to liaise with Congress as the White House ramps up for Obama's reelection.

Former employer: Timmons & Co.

Lobbying background: From 2003 to 2006, Turton worked at major D.C. lobbying firm Timmons & Co., where he lobbied for a long list of groups including Freddie Mac, Chrysler, Visa, American Medical Association, American Council of Life Insurers, Anheuser-Busch, Boeing, Chevron, the National Association of Manufacturers, the National Rifle Association, and Unocal Corp, according to who runs GOV and The Examiner.

Justification: Turton's position does not fall under Obama's anti-lobbyist executive order, according to the Sunlight Foundation.

Director of Legislative Affairs Phil Schiliro
After more than 25 years as a congressional aide, Schiliro wound up on the other end of Pennsylvania Avenue, where he plays pointman in pushing Congress to enact Barack Obama’s legislative agenda. As the upper echelons of the White House staff turn over in 2011 following the 2010 midterm election losses, Schiliro is expected to step in as deputy White House chief of staff to new chief of staff Pete Rouse, replacing Mona Sutphen and Jim Messina.

What happened in the predawn hours of Monday morning behind the couple's house at 800 A St. SE remains perplexing. Ashley Turton apparently left home early to go to her job as a lobbyist with a big day - a $13 billion corporate merger - ahead. Instead, her car crashed into the walls of the garage and caught fire, with flames soon engulfing the structure. Neighbors called authorities at 4:50 a.m., and when firefighters arrived they found her dead in the car.

Police said she could have died from a medical condition that caused the crash, from smoke inhalation, from the fire itself - or all three.

Ashley Turton, the director of congressional affairs for Progress Energy, was found dead in a burned out car in her garage Monday morning.  Her husband, Dan Turton, 43, White House deputy director of House legislative affairs, was at the residence when tragedy struck.

The couple, who purchased their home in 2003 for $826,000, are well known in Democratic circles.  Homicide investigators were immediately call to the scene to investigate.  Capt. Michael Farish, of the D.C. police homicide unit said: “We have no evidence of any obvious malfeasance in her death at this time.

Authorities said that the death “appears” to the result of a low-speed crash, an unknown medical condition, the fire, or some combination of the three.  A BMW SUV was discovered at an odd angle partially inside the garage of the rowhouse where the couple lived on Capitol Hill.

I believe the Dems and Republicans each  have hit lists and are taking out opposite party members who don't follow orders when strings are pulled.

Authorities said that the death “appears” to the result of a low-speed crash, an unknown medical condition, the fire, or some combination of the three.

Oh man, that is fricking priceless. Amazing the kind of shit you can get away with in a SMART GRID which does not allow a single homocide investigation to go forward constitutionally.

"IBM Sense and Response has determined that an actual lawful investigation represents an asymmetic threat to Vision 2020. The investigation has been cancelled, talking points have been issued through the ministry of information. End of line."

How many low-speed crashes result in any fire at all? Virtually none, or we would have fires breaking out at every fender-bender.

Sometimes these clowns are just too obvious. Roll Eyes

Notice how all the reports are "body found". That usually indicates it was put there. Are there any witnesses to the crash?

So the entire investigative research staff of all Mockingbird media outlets is forced to cover the life and times of an MK Ultra patsy while no mention of the assassination of a constitutional federal judge, a central figure in the Minto AFB Nuke false flag plans, a lobbyist at the center of a major energy merger...

Almost like it was planned that way.

Didn't the government say more terrorism to expect from al Qaeda/CIAeda in the form of more bombs and burning cars in 2011 literally?

My first hunch was: How conventient for the governments' "Secret Service" when to clean up evidence of their political mafia murders.

This could be one of those murders just after the secret service set up of a shooting mind control nutter.

To me it all seems to add up. There ain't such a thing as "coincedence".

It fits too much into their prelimanary mind control so-called "secret service insides into the evil plans of global terrorism" press releases.

How do they know so much about what's going to happen while at the same time doing nothing about it to stop it.

At the fearmongering al CIAeda "Terrorists on X-Maz Day" announcements of the secret service they even exactly knew the date when these so-called terrorist were to arrive?

This hitt was on the cuff, not well planned but covered up nicely. The timing seems to have been a major factor, the day of a 13 Billion merger, coincidence-........not likely.
Bet on it, whosoever is sitting at the corporate table completing this merger has been sent a message!
Money trails, it would be helpful to undertand the details of the merger.
Corporate bosses and organized crime hold hands. Any politicians on the fringes,on the take % may just be influential on this coverup.
These greedy little parasitic worms are having a hell of week, I PRAY that at some point the revelation will be made these mass of hits will unravel and the truth will be exposed. If not we can be sure the traitors/ infiltrators in high places have insured silence.

TID BITS
In November, PPL Corp. bought Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky Utilities from Germany's E.On. Also last year, First Energy Corp. agreed to acquire Allegheny Energy Inc. while Northeast Utilities agreed to buy NStar, though those deals have yet to be completed.

Regulators have in the past scuttled deals that would have created huge utilities. In 2006 the proposed mergers between Exelon and PSEG as well as between Constellation Energy and FPL Group, now known as NextEra energy, both fell apart.

Washington, DC: Duke Energy’s Support of President Obama’s Cap-and-Trade Policy to Be Challenged by Stockholders at Company Shareholder Meetings Thursday

Policy experts from the National Center for Public Policy Research are attending Duke Energy’s annual shareholder meeting Thursday to challenge the company’s aggressive support of President Obama’s cap-and-trade policy.

Love the names they come up with...HOUSTON, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duke Energy's existing natural gas business will be called Spectra Energy Corp. when the operations become a stand-alone, publicly traded company publicly traded company.

Energy, natural GAS..is there a pattern here, Obys cap and trade?Huh?
