The 22-year-old suspect in the shooting of U.S. Rep Gabrielle Giffords and others at a Tucson grocery is Jared Loughner, who lives in the same city.

On MySpace and YouTube web pages, a man who identifies himself as 22-year-old Jared Loughner posted anti-government messages that talk about mind control and suggested he will soon be adopting a new consciousness.

"Goodbye," Loughner posted on his MySpace account at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday. "Dear friends . . . Please don't be mad at me."

Photos on MySpace show a close-up picture of an automatic handgun sitting atop a book or paper titled "United States History." Additional pictures show a coded message, Loughner on the street and a close-up of his face.

On both the MySpace and YouTube web pages, Loughner mentions his concern over literacy rates and the fact that nobody speaks English. He also talks about his distrust of the government and suggests that anyone can call anyone a terrorist.

"I can't trust the current government because of fabrications," Loughner wrote in a YouTube slide presentation. "The government is implying mind control and brainwash on the people by controlling grammar."

Although Loughner makes much about the inability of residents to speak English, there is no direct discussion about immigration.

"The majority of people who reside in District 8 are illiterate - hilarious," Loughner wrote in another YouTube slide. "I don't control your English grammar structure."

The web pages show that Loughner also was concerned about creating a new national currency. There are bizarre references to creating a new currency. He talks about gold, but there is no clear reference to why a new currency was needed or what he thought its impact might be.

According to property records, Loughner lives with his mother, Amy Loughner, in a Tucson subdivision. She could not be reached for comment.

On his web pages, Loughner says he attended Thornydale Elementary School, Tortolita Middle School, Mountain View High School, Northwest Aztec Middle College and Pima Community College. All are in Tucson, although Mountain View is part of the Marana Unified School District.

There is no indication what he studied in college. Although Loughner said he attended Arizona State University at its main Tempe campus in 2010, an extensive records check by ASU officials Saturday showed that no one named Jared Loughner had ever gone to school there.

"He is not now and never has been a student," ASU spokesman Virgil Renzulli said.

Loughner said his "favorite interest was reading, and I studied grammar," according to his YouTube page.

He listed his favorite books as "Animal Farm," "Brave New World," "The Wizard of OZ," "Aesop's Fables," "The Odyssey," "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," "Fahrenheit 451," "Peter Pan," "To Kill A Mockingbird," "We The Living," "Phantom Toll Booth," "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Pulp," "Through The Looking Glass," "The Communist Manifesto," "Siddhartha," "The Old Man and the Sea," "Gulliver's Travels," "Mein Kampf," "The Republic" and "Meno."

Glock has extended magazines for several models.  Such as the MF17133 for the Glock 17, 19 and 26 models chambered in 9mm.  This mag holds 33 rounds!

A 9mm Glock handgun with an extended magazine was found at the scene. Earlier, one official told the AP that the attack had been carried out with an automatic weapon.

It was then when my uncle bringed up how the EU will likely collapse in my lifetime, and then I responded to him how not only it is, but the WHOLE thing is to do so BY DESIGN, largely thanks to this draconian Federal Reserve system we have.

Anyhow, my mom(again nothing against her as I love her very much), warned me not to be like that shooter who had these same thoughts about the Euro and worldwide economy collapsing. I was like, "What?!".

Jared Loughner, the gunman who shot Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and numerous other victims including a Federal Judge and a nine-year-old girl during a political event in Tucson today, was a US military recruit who was obsessed with mind control, mirroring the circumstances of many other mass shooters in history.

Loughner’s You Tube channel contains several rambling text-based videos which discuss his fascination with mind control.

In one of his online rants, Loughner said that he was a “United States Military recruit at MEPS in Phoenix”. Reports suggest that he also may have been deployed to Afghanistan at one point.

“The mission of USMEPCOM and the Phoenix MEPS is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services,” states the website of the United States Military Entrance Processing Command.

The fact that Loughner was part of the US military and yet is being characterized as an anti-government conspiracy nutcase by the establishment media is a complete contradiction. Loughner’s multitude of viewpoints seem to transcend political classification. Watching his You Tube videos, he is clearly a schizophrenic who is obsessed with mind control and other bizarre leftfield issues of minutia.

Loughner’s vulnerable and psychotic profile, combined with his interest in mind control, mirrors other famous assassins such as Mark David Chapman, John Hinckley, as well as Columbine killers Harris & Klebold.

Honestly, at the very least, in terms of INITIAL reactions by the public, it seems like they don't care.

When I was asleep, the minute 9/11 happened, not only I, but many others(including adults) around me just were indifferent. But it was until HOURS LATER in the day when pretty much everyone became aware of it(including myself).

Frankly, despite all the non-stop coverage, everyone's priorities are elsewhere, it seems.
