Update (12/28/2010): Assange may have been referring to two WikiLeaks writers that were assassinated in Kenya last year. In early March 2009, WikiLeaks reported that two of their writers had been killed while doing research in Kenya. "On Thursday afternoon March 5, Oscar Kamau Kingara, director of the Kenyan based Oscar legal aid Foundation, and its programme coordinator, John Paul Oulo, were shot at close range in their car less than a mile from President Kibaki's residence," a statement from WikiLeaks said. The Oscar foundation had documented 6,452 "enforced disappearances" by Kenyan police and 1,721 extrajudicial killings. "The Oscar Foundation vehicle was blocked by a minibus and a Mitsubishi Pajero vehicle, both of which had been following them along State house road. Several men were in the two vehicles," according to the statement. "Two men got out, approached the vehicle of Oscar Kamau Kingara and John Paul Oulu, and shot them through the windows at close range. According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the minibus was in police uniform whilst the other men were wearing suits. The closest eyewitness to the incident was shot in the leg and later taken away by policemen."

But by any reasonable standard, two years is a long time.

According to that snopes.com article every other news organization that carried that same story from AP, appearantly, did NOT have the "Kenyan-born Obama" in the story.  That seems to have been added to the Sunday Standard version and whoever did that also mispelling Barack's name as "Barrack".

I don't like the guy 0bama, don't trust the guy or his cohorts/handlers, and stand firm that he lost his US citizenship (if he even had it in the first place) when he went to school in Indonesia -- but I'm simply pointing out the need to look into things a bit deeper out of habit.

Basically, either somebody went through and wiped that headline from every single news organization's archive to cover that snafu (because it actually happened) or somebody tried to slip one in under the radar at the Sunday Standard hoping nobody would notice (which is weird because it was waaaay back in 2004 before anybody even cared who 0bama was)

You sure about that? Obama is becoming an open liability for the Democrats and the Republicans are in a feeding fenzy. And you know how they love to stir things up just to offer up a solution. That alone makes the situation ripe for the picking, as you know they also love to make the most of a good opportunity.

However, I suspect outing him would cause more chaos than they care to manage, so I look for a release of a fake. The key is the hospital they claim he was born in and the employees of record, including the doctor. Those people are witnesses possibly in a federal trial. They need to be located and deposed asap.

Either way, they are backed into a corner, and they will react one way or another.

Good point. His college days is where it gets real tricky for him it seems. It does appear there may be some false applications made if he is a citizen, or he wasn't a citizen, and the filing as a foreign student was correct, which means the political filings would be false. Oooops! Surely Barak didn't game the education system now did he?

Looks to me he's got some 'splainin' to do on both ends!

I'm pretty sure George Bush made some stuff disapear when he took office -- records of his "service" in 'Nam.

He was AWOL supposedly -- never made it to permanent duty station in the Texas Air National Guard or whatever.

It was legal, probably.  Daddy got him permission to work on a political campaign at the time for another pol, I believe, but Ma and Pa America migh have been shocked that a Senator's son didn't even have to show up to his permanent duty base to do his duty.

I think those records went bye-bye early on in his administration.
