Halliburton May Pay $500 million to Keep Cheney out of Prison

December 10, 2010 "Raw Story" -- -- Oilfield services company Halliburton is in negotiations with the Nigerian government to keep its former CEO, Dick Cheney, out of prison, according to a news report.
Sources inside Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission told GlobalPost this week that a settlement keeping the charges against Cheney out of court could cost as much as $500 million.

cheney must have some real interesting info he is holding over haliburtons head for them to put up that kind of money. Cause if he goes down so will they

I've been following this closely and as much as I wish he would go to prison, I just don't see it happening.

There is ZERO chance he goes to Jail. Nigerian's are pro's in getting cash....only broke people need go to jail in Nigeria.

  It may be that if he had it could be used against them, they pressured him going public......These two are birds of a feather, Nigeria is a shiiitfarm of corruption so is Cheny and his former co. Hali B.

You know, the Nigerian email scams of lost money where they say they need your help in getting a gazillion dollars released because somebody died or something, and for a small fee to help with brides of officials, etc, they will pay you 10% of the gazillion you will help them get released.

          Nigeria is one place expats heavily travelled dread having to work. A foriegner needs bodyguards when on Nigeria soil.
