Author Topic: felony and rights?  (Read 631 times)

Last night I was thinking About the 10 year old girl that got arrested and charged with a felony for having a knife at school. You know that if you convicted of a felony you cannot run for office, vote, or even own a gun "EVER". Today the list of felonies has grown enormous. So now even minor infractions and even misunderstandings can get you barred from essential citizenship even at a young age. So a felony is the best and fastest way to make a slave (beside all the other ways).

The police say that "if you can't do the time then don't do the crime" and therefor you had it coming. They conclude that their hands are tied becaus they can do naught but enforce the laws good or bad (its your fault for letting these laws get passed). The elitists Vote for any damn thing they wish whether it be just or not, and care not what the people that can still vote think.  Before we become a total police state they will have to make any trouble makers (voters and people with conscience) impotent.

Zero tolerance is also a way to get the most innocent people to face the most harsh charges. What they are really saying by going after these good people is "your next" (intimidation). After reading some of the things reported from the "insurgent camps" in iraq I became physically nauseous. Just think of what 2/3 of our population is willing to do just because an "expert" told them to do it. Then what will happen to the dehumanized enemy "felon"?

On top of it all most people I talk to CAN'T and WON"T think that others are capable of these things. Others that CCW advise against protesting and even being noticed because they can get their licence taken. They have an equal stake in whats coming but ONLY focus on the second amendment and voting. Activism and CCW are not mutually exclusive. I advise that if you protest don't CCW because of the trouble you can get yourself and everyone around you into. The more I read the more it seems we are very late in the game. Sorry for the rant but I had to write something after having lost much sleep last night. In closing here is a Quote from Thomas Jefferson:

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure."

To charge a 10 year old with a felony for taking a knife to school to cut his/her sandwich is ludicrous.  They should have kept the incident quiet but no they had to make a federal case out of it!!

I work for a few police officers who own rental properties in the area and asked a few questions.
I found out in Illinois you dont have to commit a felony to lose your right to own a Gun, there are certain Misdemenors that will cause you to lose the right to own a gun.
One of them said the article about the 10 yr old being charged with a felony is horrible. He even told me its the "police officers" choice to charge an individual .

He said the officer in question was more than likely having a bad day and decided to take it out on a child. The officer could have just given a warning and taken the knife explaining to the child why you cant bring a knife to school due to the stupid laws our Government has put in place.

interesting thread.

ive always said it will come down to a choice, we will each be confronted with it, where we have no choice but to make the choice, if that makes sense? it will be very obvious, but it will also be very tough, there will be a lot of pull from the dark side as it were, your status, your job, your car and your tv, all of it. it will be either you stand and fight, but loose most if not all of your material gains, or keep hold of it all, and hope that the consequences dont hit you too hard.

bill hicks had it right, "its not work, or savings of money, or a job, its just a choice, a choice between fear and love."

I've been listening to George Gordon for many years.  He was on GCN but left a few years ago.  He covers many subjects but one big one is your rights and police confrontations.  He has a lot of great things to say.  Remember, "he who is ignorant of his rights, has none".
http://db.georgegordon.com/index.php?yr=2004  2004-Jul-13 Personal Identification
http://georgegordon.com/Radio_Archives_2003.htm  January,19 2003 Rights of Individuals
http://georgegordon.com/Radio_Archives_2002.htm  April,1 2002 - Rights
October,6 2002 - Search and Seizure - Part 1- 4th Amendment & Search and Seizure-- This is the best place to start.

I very strongly agree with Alex that we need to stand up to the corruption, get in the policemen's face and tell them that I WILL sue you.  Maintain your 5th amendment right and don't answer a damn question.  Twice when confronted by (johnny bad ass) police, I told them "just once you step outside your jurisdiction or your official capacity, and I will sue you civilly and personally".  They backed down in a hurry.  I might add that most cops I have encountered have been cool.  I always ask them "can you imagine what kind of world your children will grow up in"?  It always brings them down to earth.
