I live near Detroit, Michigan and was affected by this. Anyone else? Was it only concast? Enron used rolling blackouts to make a 'perception of scarcity" to raise their fees and stock price. This is the second major disruption of service in a week. I hope they don't say that this is because there is a "scarcity of bandwidth" to start charging both the providers and end users more money. Because the governmet taking over the entire web in the name of "Net neutrality" will surly follow.

It was very odd because I could not access web pages or most things but I could use Ventrilo, which is voice chat program used for video games and other purposes.

My router showed all working lights and my network said it was connected local and internet. I was on youtube when it went out and i left it open and it stayed showing the page I was on and never got a blank screen but just could not do anything. then when it came back on youtube still had all my videos I had in que like I never left. Not the normal internet outage. |

Wow so they switched it over ehh sounds like it anyhow.
This is an important issue, remember the Jones report did a story
about how VERIZON and GOOGLE DID do a deal for a private digital highway.

Their DNS servers were apparently down. This is the way the government takes people out too just not all at once.
