Robots learning to Walk and Climb Walls

Under development are robots that are learning how to remove a pin from a grenade and throw it (DARPA ARMS).  But in order for a robot to throw a grenade and shoot a gun, it first needs to walk to the target.  This is the research that is being done by Boston Dynamics and DARPA.  Currently they have several projects under development:  Big Dog, Little Dog, Petman, RISE, and RHex.
