DARPA Creating a Human Cyborg
Right now DARPA is creating a human cyborg. Humans can now use prosthetic arms and hands that can move with the aid of a joystick device that is in the wearer’s shoe (as in the DEKA/LUKE arm). The eventual goal is to move the prosthetic limb with just your mind, the limb receiving neuro-signals from the brain. There are also prosthetic devices that can feel, as in the case of the Smart Hand. Wounded soldiers can also walk using the Power Knee.
