Hello!

1) RTSP for mobiles:

I'd (and probably many other users) like to hear the show while mobile but since there are (for my knowledge) only stream addresses that eiter

a) link to a mp3 playlist - not a mp3 file
b) have other encodings or such that most mobiles can not read

therefore many users can't listen while on the move!

(Yes I know you got a dial-in line but since this is a US number afaik this is no option for overseas listeners! As well as the iPhone-App that can not be used without iPhone)

Most mobiles (if they do support mp3) can not read playlists from the net. They look for a file.
Normally mobiles use RTSP for streaming which is the best solution to this.

1)
So... Is there any RTSP Stream to listen the show I am not aware of?

2) Internet radio units

I got 3 Internetradios at home and am listening your show (working in a IR company). I noticed that while one might hear the entire show on the PC (when clicking the link on your website) one can only listen to the 1st hour of the show when using an Internet radio unit. I assume someone took your pls playlist file, took one of the servers and added this as the stream address for the radio unit since it does not support playlists for the radio part of the unit.

So Internet radio users can only listen to 1 hour as well.

2)
Is there any chance you broadcast a RTSP Stream with a file ending ".sdp" so mobile as well as Internet radio unit users might listen at all and to the full show?

(example:  rtsp://www.xyz.com/stream.sdp)

Thanks for your reply!
No Idea if the Infowars stuff is watching all posts so they get this message at all.

Maybe everyone that reads this and as well thinks this it would be a good thing to have a RTSP stream or thinks the issue reaching all people is important could post their reply here so this issue gets some attention?

I really think spreading the message every possible way is essential so we can not miss any opportunity at all I believe. Mobile users and Internetradio users are really a big audience that's going lost at the moment.

Side issue:  the bandwidth cost--is there something like bittorrent for streaming media so we can provide our bandwidth to help keep the costs down?

RTSP is a internet protocol like http, a therefore it can not be streamed with something you propose since bittorrent and such are for files afaik. Providing an mp3 of the actual show for download at torrent sites would be another great idea but I assume there are for sure people that do already.

The issue I got aware about was not streaming (which is done already) but streaming by RTSP (!) which is the important part of this!

Btw... Audio-Streaming should not be the problem at all since there has to be streamed a very small rate of data compared to video streaming. One as well could cut one of the many other streams and usee RTSP instead. With a quicktime and wma + mp3 Stream all desktop pc can access the radio, so just maybe let's cut the unneccessary Real-Stream and use RSTP instead to reach new and more listeners! - Just my opinion.

One should not miss listeners because of not using already existing and used technologies I think. Maybe I'm just not aware of such a stream. Any Feedback of the infowars crew on this?

Please let's stay at the mobile and RSTP issue in this thread.
