I've noticed as a white guy, (with mostly white friends and acquaintances) that most of the people who buy this garbage that's packaged and marketed as hip-hip/rap, are white people!! It's really disrespectful to black culture (in my opinion) for the culture-less morons to be giving attention to these NWO sellouts, and not to real artists, well I guess that goes for rock music and any other genre as well.
I don't disagree a bulk of it is crap, a bulk of mainstream pop is about crap, country, rock etc., and I don't advocate violent, racist, sexual, and on and on content being merchandised to young minds. I am admitting that I let the bad points brought to the forefront by the media close my ears completely. It took an Afro-American co worker to ask me if I had ever really listened to what Biggie and Tupac were saying and why they were killed. I did not defend the entire genre. It took a Jewish acquaintance (on-line) to get me to listen to some Anit-fa. I knew hardcore punk existed, it isn't my cup of tea, but I had never taken the time to see there is a message being carried by SOME of the music that is directly anti NWO and fascism.
I suppose Alex shouldn't have had Dave Mustaine on either. OMG he is from heavy metal!!
When the time comes the movement really hits the streets if we can't leave our prejudices at home and walk side by side with our brothers and sisters in harmony against this monster we have already lost!!!
(generalizing for the masses superfender, not trying to pick a one on one, the one thing the movement in the sixties had we don't seem to have yet is a "soundtrack", thanks for the discussion and perhaps it may keep going!
