YouTube is your friend

With youtube vids nowadays cause the A/V quality is so good, recording a vid straight from youtube is a very convenient way of grabbing free hi-quality vids, which can be done with a browser add-on or a stand-alone program, both cost nothing.

Take this Beatles vid here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fup2KSfXTW8

It's 23.31MB /Video = MPEG4 (H264) 640x480 /Audio =  AAC 44100Hz stereo

On many of the vids the audio quality is above 1000K, the secret is to look for the newer ones, 480p, 720p, or 1080p are generally gonna look and sound fantastic.
This is what i do with all the vids i like, i save them and watch on my preferred media player.

I usually use a browser add-on, keep it active most of the time, and what happens is this :
Whenever you watch a vid on the web it'll be temporarily stored, and available for instant transfer to your hard-drive, until you clear browser history.

A good browser add-on is "freecorder 4".

If you use it, hit the freecorder 4 "options" tab from the tools /add-ons window in your browser once installed (not the "settings" tab of the actual program) and un-check everything.

A good stand-alone program which can grab more types of vids than an add-on is Flv Recorder 4
http://www.flvrecorder.com/download.htm

With this one you hit the start button on the program and any vids played after this will be temporarily stored too, like the add-on, and available for instant transfer to your hard-drive, until you clear browser history.

Any questions about using these programs feel free to ask.
