In a few hours there probably will be a few hundred more added to that count... relax.

Upload a video yourself, if you don't believe me. With around 24 hours of video uploaded to the site every MINUTE, do you really expect all of that data tracked in real-time? Across hundreds of thousands of daily video uploads, billions of video views every day?

A huge amount of the comments are ranting against the view count / comments being voted down or removed.

In the 30 seconds since I've posted my comment, it went to 2 thumbs up back down to 0 votes and now it's got 2 again. THAT is in real-time, and people don't always agree. That's why people will vote your comment down or flag it as spam. Also, if you include a full URL in your comment it won't be posted (spam protection).

And again, view count is not real time. There are so many legit reasons why some things happen, but it takes so little time for a group to get all up in arms for imaginary reasons.

Google/YouTube are censoring assholes, no doubt. But there's nothing to see here. At least for now.

So? I once had a video stuck at 200, then it went up by less than 10. A few hours later I was in the 10,000's... the "Men who sold the world" on my channel, it was posted on the PP frontpage which got it so many views in a short time, but it took a while for the counter to update.

Yeah after all the censoring that's happened lately by youtube/google how can you not think something is up? At MOST it takes 3 or 4 hours for videos to gain views (usually it'll increase by a few thousand) but in this case it's been 6+ hours and only increased by 11 (when really I'd bet at least 50,000 have viewed it). I'm fairly certain that you have to watch the whole vid for it to add a view to the count.  That's why a lot of people cut endings really close or don't run credits at the end, or have interesting footage rolling during the credits.

Considering the fact that The Obama Deception was #1 in google trends and that info warriors were spreading it like wild fire, it's a joke that it only got 100,000 views. Also consider the fact that for many hours yesterday the video was getting 10-15 comments a minute, which is absolutely unheard of even for the most viral of viral videos.

I think this coincides with what they call "a day", "a week", etc. When it's about to click over, they dik with the counters, so nobody thinks much of it, but makes the average go up/down. What we need is someone with video editing to somehow timestamp(BBC world news with time at the tone thangs, but a way without critics saying "you recorded that and snuck it in later")

Maybe if it was posted the minute it happened, the stamp on the upload would suffice. Just don't use the BP cam to synchronize events! Buggier than compost in July!


I'm glad to say I can post picture links once again, albeit loader pages until Photobucket gets their act together. It has been a whole day since they started their "maintenance" on my account, it hasn't gotten deleted, or individual pics taken down, thank goodness.
