Parents "take kids to work day" incl. electrically torturing them in public

Every one of the parents who brought their kids to work at the prison should be fired, and they should be charged with child endangerment. By taking them they were put at risk by the chance they could have come into contact with sex offenders or murderers. Don't think for a moment that an inmate wouldn't want to get payback - especially since these morons seem to use the tasers every chance they get. Prisons are also communicable disease factories as well - it's amazing these parents who know the risks of TB etc would even bring the kids to the parking lot.

For that matter the admins who allowed the kids into the facility should probably be on the unemployment line too.

HOLY CRAP! Thoes stupid assinine parents that agreed to have their children Tazed should be thrown in jail IMEDIATLY! Shit ! We have a PP forum member sitting in jail for alegatiions( FALSE) of her burning her little 4 yr old girl. Little girl had a staph infection! This mom IS STILL IN JAIL ! for weeks now!
What kind of a loving parent would agree to have thier child tazzed?? Go to any county , city , jail and see the scum in charge  from the receptionist to the janitor , all power tripin , itchin for a physical confrontation , some times even inciting it.. Really it doesint suprize me , most are sadistic programed drones. Its like they arent even human.
All involed should have been fired imediatly and charged with first degree felony assult on a minor.!
They let these A-holes get away with it , so they can " program" these innocent children , and indoctornate them into a sadistic way of life , where they will proudly carry on down that way of life to thier future generations.

Who knew taking your kids to work could be such a shocking experience. The children whose parents work at Franklin Correctional Institution in Carrabelle, Florida, that’s who.

When the unsuspecting children of the institution headed to work at the Panhandle prison with their moms and dads, they had no idea they’d be treated like inmates.

But that’s exactly what Sgt. Walter Schmidt did when he used a stunning device to zap kids with 50,000 volts of electricity.

The Sun-Sentinel reports the children fell to the ground, yelling in pain and grabbing at the red burn marks the volts left on their arms.

One child was even taken to a hospital.

Schmidt, who worked with the Department of Corrections for 14 years, says he doesn’t see how he was in the wrong, especially considering he asked for parental consent prior to shocking the youths.

“When they said, ‘sure,” I went ahead and did it, “ he tells the paper. “It wasn’t intended to be malicious, but educational.”

Seems Schmidt won’t be using his methods to further anyone else’s education. He was fired for the incident.

MIAMI (AP) - More than 40 children shocked with stun guns while visiting prisons in April may not have been the first ones zapped, according to a report released Tuesday.
A corrections officer told investigators she saw a similar demonstration at a prison about five years ago.

The report included hundreds of pages of documents gathered during probes ordered after the Department of Corrections learned children ages 5 to 17 had been shocked at three Florida prisons on April 23, "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day." Three employees were fired and two resigned. More than a dozen others were disciplined.

No children were seriously hurt or taken to hospitals. At one prison, those who had been shocked were told they could be first to get hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch, according to the report. Some asked to be shocked and laughed afterward.

Some children were shocked individually while others were part of a circle where children and officers held hands so the shock would be passed around.

Despite an officer's recollection of a similar demonstration in 2003 or 2004 at a Florida Panhandle prison, this year was the first time anyone reported one, spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger said.

Officials learned about one demonstration from a parent, then held a conference call to find out if there had been others. Plessinger said children may have been shocked in past years, but the department is taking steps to ensure it does not happen again.

The department cannot investigate the earlier demonstration mentioned in the report because the officer could not remember exactly when it happened or who was involved.

The report also confirmed what officials had said earlier—that some children's parents were asked for permission but others were not. Department of Corrections Secretary Walter McNeil has said previously that even though some parents had given permission that did not excuse officers.

The documents released Tuesday included a resignation letter from Lt. P.J. Weisner, who was involved in one of the demonstrations.

"The exercise that I participated in has been a common practice. At no time did I believe that any of the students were in any risk," wrote Weisner, who had been with the department for 11 years. "It is a shame that since this has become a media event, state employees would attempt to obtain some sort of fame at the detriment of their co-workers."

Unlike a Taser, which shoots a probe that delivers a shock, the devices used at the prisons were stun guns, which work when touched to a person's skin and affect a smaller area of the body. The result is two temporary marks that look like mosquito bites. The marks may later turn into bruises about the width of a pencil eraser.

The Department of Corrections also investigated a demonstration the same day where children were accidentally exposed to the tear gas when the wind shifted, but none required medical care.

The Florida Department of Corrections runs more than 130 prisons that hold more than 100,000 inmates.

This is so f**ked up!  I am crying right now thinking about the kids and the sense of betrayal the kids are feeling now.  They can never trust the parents.  So many Adults would love to have children to cherise!  And the law enforcement people who were a part of it.   

Look at law enforcement. Here's one example out of thousands:

Drinking and driving checkpoints. They're unconstitutional in the U.S. AND in Canada, but they happen anyway. Why? Because the Powers That Be circumvent their own law by advertising the fact that they're going to do it, in advance. Supposedly it's okay if they warn us that they're going to violate our natural born right to privacy. It's trickery, nothing less. The powers that be don't even like their own rules. They take our money, through taxes, and use it to mindf**k us. Good deal, huh?

MY GOD!
You know, after 8 years in the Army and the past 10 years in law enforcement, I thought I had seen it all but aparantly the police have gone retarded! What in the f**k was this guy thinking? For one, a taser, baton, and chemical sprays are all classified as defensive weapons. They are not to be used to gain compliance in nonviolent situations like protests and the like. So, whenever you see the video of a cop tasing or spraying or beating someone for not listening, you are seeing the makings of a large civil suit.
As for this situation,They are never to be used on kids for educational purposes! If the parents seriously agreed to this then they should have their children removed from their custody and placed with some sane relatives or a foster family in the worst case scenario.
I seriously can't believe how bad this shit is getting.
