Senseless, I am afraid your mother will be one of millions, they prey on those who are not financially knowledgeable, they prey on their dreams and wishes and do not mention the risks very much as they themselves are fed a load of lies, these local mortgage brokers are all told how good things are by the serious financial guys higher up the food chain.

Indeed the higher up types are preying on the local financial guys dreams too, who only want to sell more mortgages to people like your mother and get paid more commission and see their own dreams fulfilled.

Ya, I had her go through her contract. She said there didn't appear to be any 'call in' clause in it, though shes not a lawyer. Good thing is though that we have about 60 acres of land w/ 2 houses on it that she could easily move back into. Thank god for grandparents who lived through the great depression. 1 year worth of storable food + guns. I'm living in the philippines currently, but at least I don't have to worry about my family being in trouble when shit hits the fan!

it sure helps to have all those back ups, at least all is not lost even if they do the worst and repossess.
