Congressman Nadler, "thousands of people could die from oil clean-up alone"!

Top priority right now absolutely should be protecting the clean-up workers trapped in BP company-town camps (concentration camps/prisons).  Their involuntary exposure to COREXIT is probably tantamount to sticking them in gas chambers.

The gassing needs to stop.  That IS step one.

Can't agrue there.

BTW...rumors are that heavy hitters are short selling Nalco, so the cat may already be out of the bag and criminal charges may be ensuing. Not sure because Nalco is connected to the Rothschild Crime Family so any chance at a fair investigation may be compromised before it even starts.

There is oil, but IMO opinion, not as much as they say and just like the planes that hit the towers...incapable of causing the damage that is being caused.

been doing homework on this for a week.....I am now convniced as well Wink

I'm still not necessarily on board the not-much-oil thing, but I absloutely believe that the primary concern right now needs to be stopping the gassing/chemtrailing of the Gulf and the oil itself (however much there is of it) actually takes second place to that until the intentional spreading of these known neurotoxins (and defoliants?) is stopped.

Again, it is "not that much oil", but "where is ALL the oil?"

The MSM has been saying for 70 days that the oil would encompass most of the gulf and practically cover 4 states. This defies physics. When confronted, they showed us a video feed of a mud volcano which is not oil and is very common. As a matter of fact, the rig was positioned right on top of a mud volcano to create this false flag from the beginning. The underground mud volcanos have been mapped for decades and they drilled right on top of one and then blew up the rig on purpose. the whole thing was staged,just like 9/11. Now they are saying it is like 20 Exxon Valdes' which is seems to me to be a lie. Is it more than one Valdes? Probably, but the oil from the valdes decomposed within a few years. the conexit sprayed areas in Alaska are still toxic to this day.

The oil is being used to justify the millions of gallons of conexit and the evergreen flame throwers. the queen bitches are brewing a satanic soup in the gulf, maybe they are the alchemist in Holy Mountain perhaps trying to re-animate The Craken. I mean really, wtf are these total f-ing psychopaths doing to our land/water/air? Why is the media prevented from telling the truth? Why are fishermen and BP captains being assassinated in cold blood? Is this part of the Obama assassination team? Would there be anyway of knowing if it was?

We have been lied to for so long since Bilderberg blew JFK's brains  out in 1963 that is difficult to figure out when these Mengele inspired phycho Nazis are telling the truth and when they are not.

Corexit is killing the Gulf

By J. Speer-Williams

The private, foreign International Monetary/Banking Cartel controls its puppets in Washington as it controls its oil company executives. And everything the Cartel does is anti-life, there are absolutely no exceptions; and their pretended Gulf oil clean-up is a glaring case in point.

Instead of cleaning up the unprecedented catastrophe created by the Cartel’s mega-corporations (Halliburton, Transocean, and British Petroleum), these very same companies seem to be purposely killing our Gulf of Mexico, under the pretense of cleaning it up, with a chemical dispersant by the trade name of Corexit.

This news will, of course, be meet with incredulous disbelief by those who have yet to catch on to the fact that the private interests that own the Federal Reserve System, and all other central banks in the world, also own all major multi-national corporations.

It is something you are not supposed to know, and is politically incorrect to talk about: the International Monetary/Banking Cartel owns, or controls, from its base in the financial District of London, and other undisclosed places, all large international corporations. Wall Street and the Federal Reserve banks of the US are merely the Cartel’s American subsidiaries.

The Cartel’s ownership of so much is hidden with various inter-linked, inter-locked directorships, proxies, nominees, sophisticated fronts, and the like. Their many corporations own shares of other corporations, who own still more shares of other corporations.

Socialist author, geo/political analyst, and activist Mr. Ralph Schoeman estimates there is less than one percent of the world’s population that comprise the capitalist/ banking Cartel’s infrastructures, yet this private Cartel owns over 95 percent of the world’s wealth, with each member holding an average of 14 large corporate directorships.

The Cartel’s multinational corporations are an arcane mixture of many corporations, all forming, in effect, one mega-corporation, ultimately controlled, if not owned outright by the International Monetary/Banking Cartel.

Even Harvard’s John Kenneth Galbraith, long recognized as America’s leading public intellectual, has warned us of the dangers and oligopolistic nature of large multi-national corporations.

Of the one hundred largest economic units in the world, today, 49 are governments, while 51 are corporations. Those corporations are the driving force on earth, and an open secret is these corporations are owned by the International Monetary/Banking Cartel, who also controls the governments of the world.

This is international fascism at work.

It’s not that private ownership is a bad thing; it’s when most of everything is owned by an entente of the few, and protected by governments, that makes private, corporate-led globalization of markets miasmatic to all other life forms as it is currently occurring in the fragile ecosystems in our Gulf of Mexico, with its biodiversity of many plant, animal and marine species.

In short, our world is in the death grip of something known as the International Monetary/Banking Cartel, the fountainhead of all international monopolies, which are protected by the laws and militaries of the major governments of the world; and the US government, with her perfidious politicians, has lead in this defense of this Cartel, beginning sometime after President Lincoln’s assassination.

Lincoln said, “Corporations have been enthroned. An era of corruption in high places will follow … until wealth is aggregated in a few hands … and the Republic is destroyed.”

Democratic politicians are the best agents for big business, because of the popular belief that democratic politicians will protect the public from the abuses of financial oligarchs, an easily provable myth.

It’s a sad truth that democratic voters, who see financial plutocrats as their greatest adversaries, constantly support ever bigger government, with more laws and regulations, do not have a clue how those very laws are written by the Cartel’s “think tanks,” to more enrich and empower themselves.

And if one carefully explained all this to an average democratic voter, they demand proof; and once proof was furnished, they’d ignore it all, calling it a “right-wing conspiracy theory. So much for democratic voters, they’ll not learn much political truth this life-time.

And how about rabid republicans voters? Well, thanks to right-wing, war loving demigods like Rush Limbaugh, republicans have monopoly capitalism confused with free markets and free enterprises, and do not want to make any distinctions between them.

Unfortunately, those of us stuck deeply into the media’s carefully engineered left/right paradigm have no desire to be objective, and are thus blinded to all truth that does not reinforce biased opinions. Remedial work in geo-politics will not open the minds of such people, as they are badly in need of spiritual remedies; nevertheless, facts are facts, and some are available to truthseekers, like the killing of all life in our Gulf of Mexico.

Instead of using safe, non-toxic ways to gather up the rogue oil gushing from their incompetence, or their planned cataclysm, this private Cartel of oligarchs is using an extremely toxic chemical dispersant (Corexit), with the approval of the Obama administration, to drive the surface crude oil deeply underwater.

In a New York Times article by Paul Quinlan, British Petroleum (BP) is using a dispersant with the trade name of Corexit, even though alternative dispersants have been shown to be far less toxic, and in some cases nearly twice as effective.

And even though scientists have warned that Corexit could cause long-term harm to marine life, BP has ordered almost a million more gallons of the deadly dispersant from Nalso, a company with whom BP enjoys a cozy relationship.

Even our own EPA data ranks Corexit as being 20 times more toxic, and far less effective in handling southern Louisiana crude than some other dispersants.

Historically, workers who have cleaned up after the use of Corexit have suffered with health problems, including blood in their urine.

Carys Mitchelmore, a professor at the University of Maryland’s Environmental Science asked, “Why wouldn’t you go for the lesser toxic formulation?”

BP spokesman Jon Pack defended the use of Corexit by saying their attention is focused on plugging the leak [gusher], and not what dispersant is used.

“It’s a chemical [Corexit] that the oil industry makes to sell to itself, basically,” said Richard Charter, a senior policy advisor for Defenders of Wildlife.

Alan Levine, the head of Louisiana’s Department of Health and Hospitals, said: “We don’t have any data or evidence behind the use of these chemicals in the water. We’re now basically using one of the richest ecosystems in the world as a laboratory.”

As reported in Britain’s Telegraph, Louisiana state Secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Robert Barham reported: “We’re very disappointed in their [EPA and oil company executives] approach. The federal procedures call for a consensus between federal authorities, the responsible party and the states involved. When we met and expressed our concerns [over the use of Corexit], apparently they decided to go without us.”

And go they did. Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency allowed BP to turn our Gulf of Mexico into a toxic testing ground, instead of removing the crude oil.

British Petroleum (BP) has even refused to use their own oil tankers, lying in the Gulf, to suck up most of the runaway oil, and possibly salvage it for sale later, as was done after a Saudi spill in the ‘90’s. That method was so successful, it vacuumed up about 85 percent of that renegade oil.

Nick Pozzi, a former oil pipeline engineering and operations project manager is puzzled why BP did not salvage perfectly good crude oil for later sale, and to thereby protect marine and wildlife.

What Mr. Pozzi does not know is the oil companies are owned by the world’s only legal counterfeiters – the International Monetary/Banking Cartel – who can “print” all the money they want, so making money on Gulf oil was not important to them. Killing the Gulf of Mexico, apparently, is important to them, for their own cryptic and esoteric reasons.

If the Cartel had wanted to save marine life, any oil they had not vacuumed up could have been mulched with any number of non-toxic materials, such as “Oil Sponge,” a name trademarked by Phase III, Inc.

Rated as the “best performing” absorbent by the US Army Corp of Engineers, Oil Sponge is 100% organic, and is made from renewable resources.

Oil Sponge is built using a microbial and nutrient package, capable of transforming oil hydrocarbons into a safe bi-product of carbon dioxide and water.

But, the governmental bureaucrats of the Obama administration, and the Cartel’s oil executives, had no interest in using an environmentally friendly product to clean up what is the greatest man-made environmental disaster of all time … they seemed intent on making this unbelievable cataclysm far, far worse, and one that could never be cleaned up.

It cannot yet be proven that the Monetary Cartel purposely blew up their own wellhead, but the crimes they have committed in their so-called “clean-up” efforts are well documented, in spite of no corporate media outrage. Well, of course not, the Cartel that owns the oil companies also own their corporate media.

After the Exxon Valdez incident of March 1989, Mycelx of Georgia developed what looks like a paper towel to soak up to 50 times its weight in oil. And while this product is used from the Middle East to Europe to Canada it was of no interest to the parties Obama charged with cleaning up the Gulf of the floating oil those very same parties caused.

Then there is the AmeriHaz Petroleum Solidifier that encapsulates environmental contaminants, making  crude oil and other oil like substances easy to retrieve, which also proved to be of no interest to the Cartel.

Even hair naturally separates oil from water, leaving large tar globs, in which mushrooms can then be seeded. And as the mushrooms grow, they digest the oil, leaving non-toxic organics, which can then be composed into soil, great for growing healthy vegetables.

Anyone who has ever had a bad hair day knows how well hair will retain oil. In fact, Lisa Gautier, president of Matter of Fact (website for hair salons) has collected 400,000 pounds of hair, and stuffed it all into nylons to be used as booms near Gulf shores.

This idea could have been a shot in the arm of our dying economy, by creating organic compose for the millions of nutrient depleted farm acres in the world. Also there could have been a viable cottage industry of collecting hair from salons.

And, hair is certainly a renewable resource, with most of us contributing.  But neither Obama or the Cartel has done anything for our dying US and world economy, but ensure it dies, while feebly pretending to resuscitate it.

And now that they’ve probably destroyed the tourist, shrimping, and fishing industries along the Gulf Coast, we’ll be hearing about more “stimulus packages” that will make what money we do have even more worthless as it enriches  the Cartel’s Wall Street.

But in the world of what could have been, there’s hay, sawdust, crushed volcanic rock, sheep’s wool, and even kitty litter that could have mulched with the oil on the surface of the Gulf waters, making for easy pick-up.

But, oil industry executives and their confederates in the Obama administration quickly made sure that all spewing oil would either sink well below the surface, or never rise to it, with over half a million gallons of their dispersants. Now the oil that’s been gushing for weeks can never be vacuumed up or safely neutralized.

Worse yet, these international enemies of humanity, and life in the Gulf, committed their dastardly deed of deeply submerging the floating oil with their extremely dangerous chemical dispersant, Corexit, that would deny all marine creatures oxygen, thus killing them, and marine plant life to boot, as major underwater currents carry this poisonous oily plume through-out the Gulf and into the Atlantic.

Trying to give this mass murder a positive spin, BP spokesman John Crabtree said his corporation had dropped more than 560,000 gallons of  Corexit on the surface slicks and 28,700 gallons of the chemical at the subsea wellhead, 5,000 feet below sea-level.

Crabtree’s justification for such an insane, criminal act was that their Corexit would drive the oil well below the water’s surface, thus keeping it away from coastal shorelines. So instead of removing the oil, BP decided to make the oil even more toxic, and drive it deep into the ocean where it can never be retrieved, but will kill all marine life in its path.

Mandy Joyce, a marine sciences professor at the University of Georgia carefully chose her words about  BP’s deplorable dispersants: “Anything that requires oxygen will not be able to survive that water. The food web is going to change. You could stymie the entire production level of the Gulf of Mexico. That’s a very real possibility.”

Some of BP’s chemical dispersants contain 2-butoxyethanol, a compound that kills marine and wildlife, exactly the life our clean-up measures should try to save.

Corexit, currently being dropped by airplanes, break the crude oil into tiny droplets that sink  well below the water’s surface, where they form a giant cloud or plume, making it impossible to gather, as is their obvious intention.

And with this poisonous plume creating a dead zone, currently estimated to be about the size of Delaware and Rhode Island combined, hidden at about 3,000 feet of water, no one can place an accurate figure on how much oil has actually rushed into the Gulf.

And once this death dealing plume reaches the large, rapidly moving Loop Current, this oily cloud of doom could swing toward Florida and Cuba, killing the coral reefs and marine life there.

According to Stephen Howden, an oceanographer at the University of Southern Mississippi, the Loop Current could drag the oxygen destroying cloud into shallower waters thus potentially impacting the coral reefs and fisheries near Florida’s coast.

University of Georgia’s Mandy Joyce said, “It’s a good thing the oil is not damaging the coast line, but to say everything is fine because its not hitting the coast is missing a very important part of this equation.”

And I would say, Ms. Joyce’s statement is a serious understatement.

Another person famous for misleading and under stated remarks is our president, Barack Obama.

There can be no denying that President Obama and his EPA regulators are accomplices to the crimes in the Gulf of Halliburton, Transocean, and British Petroleum by allowing these perpetrators of the disaster to be the ones in charge of the capping and clean-up efforts.

How much longer will our government allow these corporate criminals to fail with the capping of the oil gushers ,and making a dead zone of the Gulf of Mexico and perhaps the Atlantic ocean?

Thus far, President Obama has made a grandstand play by pretending to excoriate the oil company executives responsible for the Gulf tragedy for not taking proper responsibility.

Excuse me Sir, it’s you who should have taken control and responsibility by tasking competent individuals and companies to cap this runaway well, and to clean up the mess, without destroying the entire Gulf of Mexico in the process.

And instead of excoriating the oil company executives and government  bureaucrats who dumped over a half million gallons of toxic dispersants into the Gulf, you should be arresting them for crimes against humanity, not to mention their crimes against marine and wildlife.

Additionally, Obama’s teleprompter writers had the ignorance to state the ridiculous: “I know BP has committed to pay for the response effort, and we will hold them to their obligation,” read Obama.

The very obvious point Mr. Obama, is you should have saved our Gulf of Mexico, by making sure Transocean, Halliburton, and British Petroleum had absolutely nothing to do with the clean-up efforts, rather than making them pay to turn the Gulf into a dead zone.

President Obama went on to say many parties, including the federal government should accept blame for the disaster, he stopped short of saying he, himself, should be held responsible for his part in so destroying so much life in the Gulf.

“There is oil leaking. We need to stop it, and we need to stop it as soon as possible,” said Obama.

It’s not a leak, Mr. Obama. It’s a volcanic gusher spewing out an Exxon Valdez every two to four days.

Best selling author Whitley Strieber wrote, “The Gulf spill is out of control, the media has dropped it, BP is lying, the gov’t is silent. Pray.”

From whales and dolphins to sardines, from starfish to coral reefs, from microscopic organisms to all the fish in the sea, the Cartel has embarked upon killing them all, and will continue to kill … unless they are stopped. Are you man enough for the job, Mr. President?

"Nearly Every Cleanup Worker from Exxon Valdez Now Dead?"

http://soitgoesinshreveport.blogspot.com/2010/07/nearly-every-cleanup-worker-from-exxon.html

Greta Perry linked this article from Business Insider on Facebook last night that states nearly every cleanup worker from the Exxon Valdez is now dead.  Why?  From the fumes?  From natural causes?  From chemicals?  More explanation, please.  This prompted me to do some digging today.  I read the article, watched the video clip, and my initial reaction was, "Aww c'mon.  Hyperbole.  Fear mongering by CNN and their 'expert'."  It was 21 years ago, to be sure, and are they dead because of the spill?  Surely not ALL of them.

Questions.

    Are you sure that you want to help clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?  In a previous article we documented a number of the health dangers from this oil spill that many scientists are warning us of, and now it has been reported on CNN that the vast majority of those who worked to clean up the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska are now dead.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Almost all of them are dead.

Merle Savage is one of those that helped cleanup the beaches in 1989 after the Exxon Valdez spill and she is trying to warn the workers in the Gulf and inform them what happened in 1989..  She wrote a book about her experience:  Silence in the Sound.  Her website is here.  Savage explains that her health problems began almost immediately:

    After working for 3 days on the oily beaches, I had a persistent cough that developed into bronchitis, headaches, sore throat, upset stomach and fatigue. On the 4th day I reported to the sick bay and was given medication by the doctor who was supplied by VECO, and on the way to my room, I fainted. I had 3 days of bed rest, but went back to work with recurring symptoms. Of the workers that I supervised 80% had the same medical problems. I wonder how many other cleanup workers, like me, went home thinking we would get better – but didn’t? The symptoms escalated until my medical condition took over my life, and was so bad that I have been unable to hold a job.

Savage breathed in crude oil and dispersant for weeks as she and her coworkers cleaned up the beaches that summer. One of the dispersants used that summer was Corexit 9580.  Another was Inipol EAP22, also toxic.

The dispersants BP is using today is a variation of the Corexit dispersant used in 1989.  They're using Corexit 9500 and 9527. The EPA freely admits that they just don't know about the exact toxicity of them on animals or humans:

    It is also important to note that the LC50 value may be different for a given chemical depending on the route of exposure (e.g., skin contact, ingestion, inhalation) and can be different for different animal species, ages and sexes. The LC50 is only one source of toxicity information and only provides information for the species and concentrations of chemical being tested under laboratory conditions. Toxicity tests resulting from controlled laboratory experiments may not accurately represent the degree of toxicity seen in the environment because of factors such as breakdown of the chemical, different species, different routes of exposure, age, sex, stage of development (e.g., adult versus larval).

To protect workers, the EPA advises hazmat gear and masks:

    People working with dispersants are strongly advised to use a half face filter mask or an air-supplied breathing apparatus to protect their noses, throats, and lungs, and they should wear nitrile or PVC gloves, coveralls, boots, and chemical splash goggles to keep dispersants off skin and out of their eyes.

BP will provide these upon request.

As of today, BP reports use of more than 1.62 million gallons of dispersant.

Corexit 9527 was used initially in the Gulf but was discontinued  because it was considered too toxic.  Corexit 9500 is considered much better:

    By last week, the EPA and Nalco had both released the ingredient list for COREXIT 9500 in response to widespread public concern. Its constituents include butanedioic acid (a wetting agent in cosmetics), sorbitan (found in everything from baby bath to food), and petroleum distillates in varying proportions—and it decomposes almost entirely in 28 days. "All six [ingredients] are used in day-to-day life—in mouthwash, toothpaste, ice cream, pickles," Ramesh argues. "We believe COREXIT 9500 is very safe."

But, as this Scientific American article points out, all dispersants contain carcinogens.  There are reports that Corexit has been banned in the UK but to be clear, it's only been banned in use on rocky shoreline.  It may or may not be used elsewhere.

Reports of illness in Louisiana and other Gulf Coast states are beginning to mount.  As of June 29:

    Exposure to the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico has resulted in 162 cases of illnesses reported to the Louisiana state health department, according to a report released Monday. Of those cases, 128 involved workers on oil rigs or individuals involved in the oil spill cleanup efforts, the report said.

And that's just Louisiana. This article in The American Chronicle suggests that the Gulf Oil Syndrome is on the horizon and suggests that many won't be taken seriously:

    The Gulf oil spill will likely lead to a new condition known as Gulf Oil Syndrome (GOS), a syndrome of toxicity related to 911, GWS, and MCS, which will initially be denied and labeled as psychiatric to protect the financial interests of responsible parties.

The Exxon medical records were sealed by the courts until 2023 and the Miami Herald reports that long term studies have never been done on the effects of that disaster, so it's difficult for us to know what to expect with this crisis.  Last week U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin reiterated this problem:

    "Current scientific literature is inconclusive with regard to the potential hazards resulting from the spill," Benjamin said. "Some scientists predict little or no toxic effect ... while other scientists express serious concerns about the potential short-term and long-term impacts the exposure to oil and dispersants could have on the health of responders and our communities."

    That lack of published, peer-reviewed study of the Exxon Valdez cleanup workers has made protecting the growing number workers in the Gulf of Mexico all the more difficult and has Alaska watchdogs warning that BP and government regulators are repeating mistakes that made people sick a generation ago.

What are the options?  What are the alternatives?  Environmentalists would probably suggest that we quit drilling and that would solve all this, but everyone with half a brain knows that's not realistic.  Not unless you want to turn back the clock 200 years. I don't have the answers. I don't know how many people died as a result of the Exxon cleanup.

People want to get out there and clean the beaches, the wildlife, and put things back to normal.  BP has an obligation to clean up the oil.  But at what cost does it all come?  The state of Louisiana is already asking BP to set up a fund for mental health help but what about the physical medical needs these clean up workers will be facing?  Is that to come from the $20 billion?

And that's the tragedy of the whole episode.  That's where you see that this is an end to a way of life on the Gulf coast.  Scientists are already predicting a huge dead zone where wildlife cannot survive. Some will say it's all fear mongering and hype and that the Gulf will survive.  Everything will be okay.  Life goes on.  We survive.  I sure hope so.

Merle Savage is advising great caution and wants people in the Gulf cleanup to learn from the mistakes of the Exxon Valdez.

It's Raining OIL - Mixed with Corexit - Toxic Nightmare Video

BP-Gore-Strong...planned attack on the environment

Maurice Strong has been caught red handed by George Hunt planning a dust bowl in the middle of the United States (Colorado/New Mexico).

For those of you unfamiliar what a dust bowl is...it contributed to the planned extermination of over 7 million American citizens during the 1920's to 1930's.

These people work with the banksters to plan a 3 prong attack on humanity...

economic/financial/debt
environmental sabotage
labor exploitation/slavery

A very impressive documentarian exposed the similar trends and this oil rig false flag will hopefully allow people to truly understand the threats that humanity is under by these pharaoh nutcases:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO-eVe2xJZs

The Dust Bowl, stock market crash and Great Depression resulted in the deaths of over 7 million Americans and this was according to plan. It is happening again.

Maurice Strong and George Hunt:

Guest: George Washington Hunt
http://www.archive.org/details/AlexJonesRadioShow-January122010
The Alex Jones Show: January 12, 2010

0:46:05 George Washington Hunt, a former naval officer and an official host at the UNCED 4th World Wilderness Congress, documentary "The Big Bad Bank"; thebigbadbank.com

-went to 4th World Wilderness conference in 1987 because son had been killed in wilderness, and other son wanted to repair huts along Arctic for travellers; went to meeting to see about getting his son a job

-saw there was another agenda of this conservation conference, a secret meeting, got in as a replacement host for someone who was sick
had lunch with the Rothschilds

-asked the president of the World Conservation Bank, Michael Sweetman, how the bank would survive if asset base was Arctic lands, reply was that they were working on that (in 1987)

-we haven't see it yet, but it is coming, there will be one bank, one credit card, and if you cross that bank and don't do what they want, you will lose your credit card privileges and won't be able to buy or sell

-after conference, learned that Maurice Strong was planning to pump water away to turn thousands of thousands of miles of San Luis Valley into a dustbowl

-since then have spent $250,000 to expose Maurice Strong

-that 1987 conference was attended by Secretary of the Treasury James Baker, head of IMF, head of World Bank, head of United Nations in Geneva, Edmond de Rothschild, David Rockefeller, Maurice Strong, Gro Harlem Brudland of WHO

-Brudland is in a new group with former President Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu and others, called the Elders, in direct contact with the Club of Rome
the Brudland Report was used as the basis for the World Wilderness Foundation Congress; her analysis is that 2 billion people have to be removed from the planet (down from 6 billion at the time)

-these elites want the world to themselves, and they don't like us cannon-fodder who inhabit it
an elitist banker from Canada said "let's do this bank without telling the cannon fodder about it that unfortunately inhabit the Earth", some 22 years ago

-the 1987 Congress ended with Rothschild presenting his banking program, for Brunland to present to the United Nations October 1987
Maurice Strong allegedly took $1 million bribe from the UN's oil for food program

-Fox just exposed him on Copenhagen conference that he made billions of dollars on global warming
Maurice Strong got $8 million when he sold the Vaca for water rights which he did not own; seems there was fraud at either Nature Conservancy level or Cabeza de Vaca Land Company

-it appears they are gearing society toward a feudalistic society, similar to the Middle Ages
they will introduce worship of Mother Earth as part of the religion

-Maurice Strong's wife Hani is head of the Earth religion cult

-there are a lot of parallels in George Orwell's book "1984"

-each product will have a tax based on how much of Mother Earth went into the growth of that product

-they want to create a demand for dry ice machines to convert CO2, and ship it to the polar ice caps

-they want to create huge projects costing trillions of dollars, and then pull out before they collapse

-we will see a lot of these ideas come along to change the climate

-big concern is "e" bomb, electromagnetic surge pulse, which would be easy for rogue nation to launch one into atmosphere which would destroy all electronics within line of sight

-James Baker gave keynote address at the 1987 meeting, saying conservation required growth and development, which caused a stir among the environmentalists

-Rothschild encourages a fight between environmentalists and development, and he will be the synthesis to bring them together

-Hunt asked in 1987 when this bank would come into existence, they said there would be a collapse of world currencies in 2012, and the World Conservation Bank would come in to save the world

-about 6 months ago the House of Rothschild pushed the global carbon tax in a meeting of the London banks

I obviously have no idea how accurate this information is but I think its important that people hear this and make their own informed judgment. Its not like these people have any incentive to lie to people at least far less than the government and media so I'd give it some credibility.

Here's Greg Evenson's latest column from News With Views.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE FELLOW AMERICANS? HAD ENOUGH?
By Greg Evensen
June 26, 2010
NewsWithViews.com

It has been a while since I wrote an editorial. I have been engaged in the business of teaching my fellow patriots to have a plan and to get one now. With what has happened across America politically as the cowards and sell-outs celebrated their latest freedom killing legislation, the apocalypse arrived in the Gulf of Mexico.

On Thursday, May 20th, I joined my close friend “Hawk” on a radio broadcast heard across America and Canada. To say the least, it was ground breaking and set the pace for ALL reporting that has come since that time. That night, I broke the “story behind the story” regarding the cataclysm that is threatening America’s survival. With the failure of every aspect of the Obama administration and the complicit disregard for the ongoing conspiracy that has become British Petroleum, FEMA, EPA, Homeland Security, the Justice Department, the U.S. Senate, the Pentagon, the F.B.I. and anything else connected to the United States government, America has finally succumbed to greed and evil beyond our ability to understand.

I was the first to outline COMPLETELY and in great detail, exactly what was transpiring and what the response would be to the death of the Gulf of Mexico, and ultimately the fate of all life and culture that has been the Gulf coast. As I wrote down the information given by over three dozen sources within law enforcement, the military, university researchers and federal assets, it was painfully clear that this was destined to be the worst calamity initiated by men in the history of the world. Nothing has changed that assessment since that day.

I felt that we took an enormous personal, professional and creditability risk, but to NOT bring the information to the American people and ultimately the world was insanely irresponsible. “Hawk” was adamant and very supportive that our people needed to know right then how ultimately serious this catastrophe was and is to yet become. To recount all in that broadcast here would be redundant and space consuming. In short form, I stated eighteen points, all of which have been precisely revealed over the past five weeks, and confirmed over and over by experts in a position to know. I prayed that I would be wrong and that this would be settled in short order with only a “minimum” of damage and injury.

The part that I received the most criticism about was the wave of deadly gases, the methane issue and ultimate evacuations. I further broke the news that the horrible dispersants being sprayed from the air were exponentially far worse than the ongoing effects of the high pressure “volcano” of raw oil from a fragile, fracturing gulf seabed floor due to the pressure release from such an insanely deep well. Lastly, along with many other issues I stated that Florida would be affected quickly as the oil took the Gulf Stream turn and would end up in England and Bremerhaven. I did not know that there would be a second demon in the form of leaching radioactivity to further seal the fate of life in the Gulf and for residents a dire choice of what to do and when.

I have completed fifteen radio interviews including one in Europe over the past three weeks and even an executive producer from a well known television investigative show has contacted me for input on a future show due to the nature of this one radio interview.

The government of the United States in this crises, cannot find its ass with both hands and a Chinese made, Wal-Mart sold, genuine, guaranteed, remote controlled, ass-finder. Obama makes Bush look like General George S. Patton, and that is going some for me. The Bush family is the incarnation of the world cabal and joins Bill Clinton, Jimmy “clueless” Carter, and all of the other 20th century complicit “Illuminati” approved presidents that brought us to the last generation of “freedom” bearing citizens that will ever know even the slightest taste of true sovereignty—without a fight.

My task of training and preparing Americans for the latest holocaust endorsed by the Bilderberg Klan, England’s “Queen of Spades,” the Council on Foreign Relations, etc., etc., has begun what I truly pray will be the next and hopefully last, real, genuine revolution in this country. There is no more time to mince words about the dying state of America. Peaceful transition to a resurrected republic is still the desired goal, however, the apprehension and incarceration of all complicit politicians, judges, federal agency heads, corrupted law enforcement, oath breaking military officers, scamming bankers and power mad, money lusting business moguls, must now be sought at all costs. To do anything less, condemns our nation to absolute destruction and misery destined only for a sick, sin-ridden people who have neither the guts nor the cogent, intelligent ability to force an end to this century and a half of the absolute, planned destruction of our Constitutional Republic.

Have we become desperate enough yet to do what we should have done fifty or one hundred years ago? Have we given enough of our treasure and blood to achieve the goal of the world’s elite through world wars, on-going mercenary interventions to guard the opium fields under the forever lie of “we are defending freedom” crap that is a breeding ground for executive military action soldiers vs. patriots in the streets of America?

I teach people to formulate a plan of action to avoid the government agents from handing you an Obama plan as you enter a FEMA camp or are waiting for a G-ride on a deuce and a half complete with a complimentary MRE because you broke down along an interstate highway heading north out of the gulf in an evacuation made necessary by the fouling of the air and water as far as the eye and lungs could see or feel.

These “plans” include everything you need to know and carry out when the count down clock hits zero. It was made necessary because the majority of you didn’t take the time or make the slightest effort to prepare for the worst case scenario ever to be contemplated. Ask those whom I have trained. They will state unequivocally that now they have a good chance. Please visit our website for the latest information and planning tools about this debacle of the millennium.

To the great men and women across America who have pledged to defend their states, communities, families and friends in every way humanly possible is an encouragement to me beyond words. The only thing these good folks threaten is the beast of dictatorship, corruption in government, and robbery BY the banks. We need the absolute elimination of communist front groups like Morris Dee’s Southern Poverty Law Center and the American Civil Liberties Union.

ANYTHING communistic, socialistic, or “universal” is an affront to constitutional patriots and MUST be eradicated by whatever means is necessary and available. That is a no-compromise zone. Otherwise, why have we engaged the Nazi’s and the communists in the past? Was it just to make money for the world cabal?? Yes. Was it to set the ultimate disaster that would take down the USA? Yes. Was this done to break the will, the minds and the hearts of our gullible citizens?

Yes. Is there a confrontation coming between the people of this nation and its government’s sinister federal gun-toting agents of evil and intimidation? Most decisively, YES! YES! YES! HAVE YOU HAD ENOUGH YET? WILL YOU JOIN WITH OTHERS AND CREATE YOUR PLAN TO SURVIVE THE IMMINENT COLLAPSE OF AMERICA?Huh?

You are at this moment, either cursing me or pounding the table in agreement. There is no middle ground anymore. If you are silent and seething with the thought that commentators like me and others have made your life miserable, then you must now accept the reality of this horrible moment and plan accordingly. In an advanced training class thirty years ago I read the banner above the board that said, “On the plains of desolation, lie the blackened bones of those who at the most critical moment in their lives, HESITATED.” Could it be more clear? For the sake of your nation, your family, your own destiny, and the fate of our nation, please do not hesitate.

Train, think and discipline every aspect of your life for survival in a post freedom, world. Prepare for whole system breakdowns. Provision for many months and shelter against a raging storm of galactic proportions. If you do, you will step out with a purpose and will to make it. If you do not, then rest assured your fear will be the last thing you feel before the grinding wheel of misery takes you out. What will you say to your friends and family? How will they regard you?

Hated or heroic? Free or slave? Warrior or captive? Your actions, not the government’s, the police or anyone else will determine how and where you will spend the rest of your lives.
Ultimately, the words of God himself are all that matter. “Well done, good and FAITHFUL servant, enter into the glory of Heaven.” That is ultimate truth, period.

Will you meet the challenge before you? I will try to bring you some reports from the field next time and some encouragement to not surrender. We all

“Remember dear friends, courage burns hot when put to the test. Fear and cowardice live only to undo the courageous at the moment of greatest trial. The heroic or “brave” heart lives not only to put fear and cowardice to the sword, but to lead many others to their moment of triumph as well.”

Quote: Greg Evensen, Summer Camp 2010, Crystal Falls, Michigan, “GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU! STEADY, ALL THE WAY.”

What will it take?  I have been feeling this way myself about this whole Gulf fiasco/psyop.

I hope this is the thing that finally gets Americans to throw off the whole secret corporate-elitist government they really live under right now.  If not this, what?  If not now, when?

They're killing us right where we live now.  You don't even have to sign up for their crazy wars.  The $hit will come to you.

Who knows? It seems like the American public is still focusing more on baseball and whatever the local megaplex is playing.

Dr. Scott Johnson has evacuated his family out of FL a week or so ago(ie- the guy at contendingfortruth.com , who has done an indepth research on benjamine creme/maitreya/the whole new age movement), as did Derek Dreamer(dunno if you guys listen to his podcasts, but he's also a Christian watchman who has Alex and Bob Chapman on his podcasts every week or so). The other FL Christian watchmen(Mike Slattery and Sam Adams-both at sermonaudio.com and good friends with Scott and Derek) are still where they are, last I heard.

I love baseball, too.  My Tigers are tied for the first place in the American League Central!  But I can still focus on what's really important. I'm not sure that's it.

I didn't leave all my Americanness at the door the day I "woke up" -- and it was actually a gradual period.  I played baseball as a boy, I still watch games, listen to them, follow them on the internet.  But I have enough mental capacity left over to follow the important news stories of the day as well.

I'm not sure what it is, but I don't think that's it.

AS for movies, I don't go to the theater over here (South Korea) even though there are American and English movies from time to time. I can generally wait until things come out on cable/video/pirate DVD.  But as far as filling your head up with crap nowadays, Hollywood, like TV and the music industry are pretty hard-working.

I would get out of FL, too.  I'm not too worried about Benjamin Creme, though, I don't think he's really selling anyone -- not very many people at any rate.  Not even a third-class false messiah king-maker.

They justify Corexit via THE GAS OF PEACE argument from HG Wells Things to Come...

Chemtrails are THE GAS OF PEACE!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Over a ruinous landscape, brigands with flags and old
     military uniforms in flight as the new aeroplanes overhead
     bomb them. The bombs explode and gas overcomes the brigands.
        Sky writing by the new planes: SURRENDER.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    CABAL: "Have they weapons?"

        MITANI: "Bars of metal. They can smash electric cables.
     They can do no end of mischief."

        CABAL: "Are there no weapons on our side? Cannot your
     traffic control produce a police?"

        MITANI: "Very few.... We have nothing but the Gas of
     Peace. And it isn't ready. It will take hours yet. There are
     some young people we can gather. We must hold this crowd back
     --at any cost--for a time; until the Gas of Peace can be
     brought up."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      CABAL: "Then you'll have to organise some sort of guard.
     Alter all you have your way-men and your inspection planes.
     That ought to be enough. And if there is much disturbance--
     isn't there still the Gas of Peace?"
        MITANI "There is none."
        CABAL: "Is there none?"
        MITANI: "Officially anyhow. There has been no need of it.
     The world has been orderly because it has been happy, and it
     has been happy because everyone has had something to do.
     There has been no reason to keep any of that gas. There has
     been no use for it for seventy years. But now I want to call
     up the Council and get a sanction to make it at once--and use
     it if need be."
        CABAL: "Call the Council, but won't that take too long?"
        MITANI: "Well, I have been anticipating a little. I have
     been having some made."
        CABAL: "That is right. We can endorse that."
        MITANI: "In a few hours some tons at any rate will be
     ready and our planes will be ready to distribute it. But
     still--it will take a little time. Some hours, perhaps."
        CABAL: "That old Gas of Peace. We shall hate to use it
     again. But if the people will not give us the freedom of
     outer space--we shall have to use it."
        MITANI: "I have your support then in what I am doing?"
        CABAL: "Fully. Yet all this is incredible to me.
     Insurrection! Against exploration! Mankind turning upon
     science and adventure. Wanting to call a halt. It's a mood,
     Mitani."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     A YOUNG MAN: "This gives us a chance of trying this new
     anaesthetic, the Gas of Peace... I wish I could go..."

Things to Come - 1936 | 100 mins | Sci-Fi | B&W
http://www.britmovie.co.uk/genres/fiction/filmography/006.html
Plot Synopsis

The story H.G. Wells Things to Come centres on the careers of two men: John Cabal, leader of the, technocrats who set up the world state, and his grandson Oswald Cabal, who has to deal with a reactionary backlash. Not surprisingly, given that the film industry was an integral part of the capitalist system, the attack on capitalism that is central to The Shape of Things to Come is omitted. The film concentrates more on attacking the horrors of war, which in the book Wells made clear was a product of that system. But Wells' screenplay was further streamlined and pruned by Korda and his script editor Lajos Biro to eliminate a diatribe against religion and a debate about the role of woman as love object or workmate. But otherwise the scenario was faithfully translated to the screen by Korda's top-flight production team. He imported the ace Hollywood designer William Cameron Menzies to direct and commissioned Arthur Bliss to provide the score. The art director was Alexander Korda's brother Vincent, who was inspired in creating the city of the future.

The resulting film was released in February 1936. For all the obvious artificiality of some of the special effects, the cut-glass accents and impeccable upper-class English manner of the juveniles and the hamminess of some of the acting, it remains a classic of science fiction cinema, a visionary work of compelling power, awesome imagination and uplifting optimism. The first theme is pacifism and hatred of war. Prophetically choosing 1940 as its starting date and setting the action in Everytown, though it is obviously London and in particular Piccadilly Circus, the film opens with the bravura intercutting of carol singers, turkeys for sale and Christmas shoppers with looming headlines proclaiming the imminence of war. At the house of John Cabal (Raymond Massey), the prospects of war are debated and Cabal insists 'if we don't end war, war will end us'. The children play games with their toy armaments, until over the wireless it is announced that the fleet has been bombed without warning, the country is at war and enemy planes are heading for Everytown. There follows a superbly staged air raid, a graphic and chilling illustration of Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin's dictum: 'The bomber will always get through.' Motorcyclists surge across the screen, the roar of planes is heard overhead and although we never see the planes, their bombs bring destruction to the busy streets as searchlights vainly probe the sky. The panic and devastation ends with a slow and eloquent track in to the body of a child buried in the rubble. The child, symbol of hope for the future, is to be a recurrent image in the film.

The war drags on until 1966 and in its wake comes the plague - the Wandering Sickness - and the collapse of civilisation. Victims of the plague are shot to prevent them spreading infection and the pestilence subsides. Amid the ruins of Everytown, a quasi-medieval village springs up, with buses turned into houses, cars pulled by horses and the community led by a warlord, the As (Ralph Richardson), who still leads armed raids on neighbouring settlements. The Boss is challenged by the arrival of the white-haired, black-clad figure of John Cabal, who declares that he represents an organisation called 'Wings Over the World' which stand for 'Law and Sanity' and plans to restore civilisation from its advanced scientific base on the Persian Gulf. Although the Boss arrests Cabal, a great fleet of airships appears over Everytown, drops 'Peace Gas' bombs, knocking out the population and taking control. Everyone revives in time except for the Boss, who is found to have died.

Cabal declares that the work of rebuilding must go ahead with the creation of a new planned, technological society. So the second theme of the film scientific planning - emerges. 'Planning' was the great panacea of the 1930s. It was based on faith in the efficacy of reason and science to tackle and overcome whatever problems faced the nation. The lengthy quasi-documentary sequence detailing the building of the New World is a celebration of technology. At the end of it, we see Everytown in 2036, a great new underground city of shining towers, white, clean, clinical, with artificial light and air, huge television screens and scientifically prolonged life. A child, being given a history lesson by her grandfather, declares happily: ‘keep on inventing things and making life lovelier and lovelier.' The latest invention is the space gun, which will launch a projectile to begin the exploration of the universe. Oswald Cabal (Raymond Massey), John's grandson, and Raymond Passworthy (Edward Chapman) discuss the expedition, on which Passworthy's son and Cabal's daughter will be the crew. Passworthy is fearful, and the people share his fears. The symbol of reaction is Theotocopoulos (Cedric Hardwicke), sculptor, artist and individualist. He hates the cold, planned, technological perfection in which they live. He rouses the populace to destroy the space gun, but before they can reach it, it is launched. Passworthy asks if there is ever to be any rest.

I live in New Orleans and have heard that some well placed people own stock in Nalco the company that is selling BP dispersants. I searched the Internet for some information about this and have found the following:

The Top Kill method was started and suspended several times. It was being attempted only half hearted.

Stopping the flow would stop the use of dispersants that NALCO is supplying.

Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, George Soris, Apollo Management, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs and others own stock in NALCO.

NALCO is Chicago based with subsidiaries in Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia.

NALCO is associated with The University of Chicago Argonne program. UChicago Argonne received $164M in stimulus funds the past year. UChicago added two new executives to their roster, one from NALCO the other from the Illinois Dept. of Education.

Warren Buffet increased his holdings in NALCO last November.

More bad news for BP as arsenic levels rise in seawater around the Gulf of Mexico

    * From: AFP
    * July 06, 2010 12:55AM

BELEAGUERED energy giant BP was hit with further bad news this morning as it emerged dangerous arsenic levels have been found in seawater around the Gulf of Mexico.

British scientists warned that the oil spill is increasing the level of arsenic in the ocean, and could further add to the devastating impact on the already sensitive environment.

BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig has been spilling between 3,681,500 litres and 911,454,000 litres of oil into the sea per day since it exploded on April 22.

The spill is already being labeled as America's worst environmental disaster and has turned into a economic and PR nightmare for the British company.

Seventy-five days into the spill, the oil has fouled some 715km of shoreline in four southeastern US states, killed wildlife and put a massive dent in the region's multi-billion-dollar fishing industry.

The clean-up operation, which has already cost, $US3.12 billion ($3.7 billion), is expected to rise even further after efforts were hampered by technical setbacks to cap the leak and adverse weather conditions.

In a further blow, an operation to permanently cap the ruptured well on the seafloor far below the surface cannot begin until engineers finish drilling relief wells, in mid-August at the earliest.

Imperial College London researchers warned the effect on the environment could worsen unless clean up efforts were hastened.

Researchers published a study which found oil stops the ocean’s natural filtering process of arsenic.

They said the arsenic then gets “magnified” up the food chain, as fish eat small amounts of the deadly poison and may eventually impact humans, researchers said.

Professor Mark Sephton said arsenic, which is found in seawater, was normally filtered out of the ocean when it combined with sediment on the sea floor.

“But oil spills stop the normal process because the oil combines with sediment and it leads to an accumulation of arsenic in the water over time," he said.

"Arsenic only needs to be a 10th of a part per billion to cause problems.”

He added: “Our study is a timely reminder that oil spills could create a toxic ticking time bomb, which could threaten the fabric of the marine ecosystem in the future.”

Prof Sephton called for a comprehensive mapping of arsenic levels around the world which would allow authorities to consider banning oil drilling in areas with dangerous levels of arsenic.

The findings were published this month in the journal Water Research.

The warnings come after Hurricane Alex sparked a five-day shutdown, raising new questions over how BP would pay for the mounting costs.

Meanwhile cleanup workers arrived back on Grand Isle, Louisiana by the hundreds, spilling off school buses that shuttled them in from around the state with one worker claiming it's the most oil he had seen so far.

However while skimming operations resumed in Louisiana, rough seas kept vessels tied up in harbour in three other southeastern US states and no controlled burns were being carried out.

Skimming was suspended last week as Tropical Storm Alex, which later became the first Atlantic hurricane of the 2010 season, entered the Gulf.

BP is now pinning its hopes on the giant Taiwanese supertanker A Whale exponentially boosting the amount of oil and water mix being scooped up from the surface of the gulf.

The tanker should be able to vacuum up 78.75m litres of oily water a day, separate it and spit the seawater back out.

Tests on the 275-metre tanker-turned-skimmer were expected to be completed by Monday before officials decide whether to deploy it.

It also emerged last night that BP is now turning to rival oil groups and sovereign wealth funds to fend off a possible hostile takeover bid.

The National, an Emirati newspaper based in Abu Dhabi, reported that sovereign wealth funds in the oil-rich Middle East have proposed making a strategic investment in BP, which has pledged to place $US20 billion ($A23.74 billion) in an escrow account to pay for the cleanup in the Gulf.

The firms were also allegedly mulling buying key assets from BP and financially backing any capital the oil company might plan to raise after the British energy giant lost over half of its stock market value and saw its shares plunge in the wake of the disaster.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration meanwhile expanded the area closed to fishing in the Gulf beyond the current northwestern boundary off Louisiana, bringing to the closure to 210,258 square kilometres or  33.5 per cent of the Gulf's federal waters.

Bill Gates along with JP morgan is one of the biggest investors in BP.  His relationship to this fiasco financially is fairly direct.

But that is the beauty of the limited liability corporation, right?

Since the last quarter of the seventeenth century in the Netherelands, the elite class has been able to ditch the restaurant just as the bill comes.

(Debtors prisons, work houses, and poor houses took much longer to eradicate -- and to some degree they are still with us.  It's nbot so eas for a working man to skip out on the check.)

335 years of elite irresponsibility and counting.

I heard of this company Evergreen on another forum and went to their website... I noticed the employment page is run by a company called Ceridian.  I used to work at Ceridian from 2000-2004, they're a third party administrator, basically HR and admin stuff...  guess who else they have as clients?

Goldman, Cantor Fitzgerald (until 9/11) Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, GE ( I personally worked on that account) Deutche Bank (sp) and Microsoft.
that's all the biggies I can remember....
Just an interesting fact.

I didn't see this video anywhere on here but I thought it very important to see.

Oil and water samples were taken from both the Shores of Grand Isle and from 20 miles out. The preliminary analysis was done at an academic analytical chemistry laboratory. Looking for the likely pollutants from the deep water Horizon Oil spill. It was focused on the detection of benzene and propylene glycol. Benzene and other highly toxic contaminants were very low however the concentration of propylene glycol was between 360 and 440 parts per million. Just 25 parts per million is know to kill most fish and propylene glycol is just one of many ingredients found in Corexit. In short, the Gulf is being poisoned by BP's usage of the dispersants even after the EPA asked them to stop back in May. We are willing to provide ANY respected/known laboratory these samples or provide them with more. This is very serious to all people and marine life in and around the Gulf.

BP Spill Leads to Buffett, Contrarian Thinking
http://www.thestreet.com/print/story/10780230.html
Joe Mont 06/11/10 - 05:00 AM EDT

BOSTON (TheStreet) -- A Warren Buffett maxim is: "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful."

The billionaire investor's variation on "buy low, sell high" is an eye-opener for those who tend to flock to favored companies. With the Dow dipping below 10,000 this week, investors willing to escape groupthink and deploy contrarian thinking may be able to make money.

BP's(BP) stock has turned to kryptonite -- no investor wants to touch it. The company's efforts to staunch the flow of gushing Gulf oil would be laughable if the situation weren't so tragic. It would be incredibly foolish to buy BP's shares, wouldn't it?

Maybe not.

On Wednesday, shares of BP plummeted more than 15%, trading at about half the level of their 52-week high. Investors have grim prospects for the company's survival.

But did the Valdez prove to be Exxon's fatal undoing? Since that infamous spill in the late 1980s, Exxon Mobil's(XOM) stock has risen 10-fold.

Also consider that, despite the magnitude of the BP disaster, federal environmental fines are capped at $75 million. There's talk that Congress could lift that ceiling to $10 billion and the Obama administration may demand that BP pay oil workers' lost wages, but even that would hardly be crippling. Coincidentally, $10 billion is the amount that BP was on track to pay in dividends this year.

Contrarians may say that, with BP, you buy in cheap and a few years from now the stock doubles or triples, while a fat dividend sweetens the deal. The downside, of course, is that BP collapses and you lose everything.

For investors who want a more knowledgeable hand placing the bets, a variety of mutual funds follow contrarian strategies.

The Janus Contrarian Fund(JACNX) seeks out-of-favor companies that have unrecognized value.

"Contrarian investing is only appropriate for investors with a long-term investment horizon," longtime manager David Decker says. "You have to have the conviction to invest opportunistically when you find quality companies that are not widely understood."

The fund rose 21% last year and counts among its major holdings Kinder Morgan Management(KMR), India's JSW Steel, CB Richard Ellis Group(CBG) and Vail Resorts(MTN).

There are also funds similar to the Janus offering that, despite growing more conservative over the years, still look for bargains that most investors have overlooked, including Perritt Micro Cap Opportunities Fund( PRCGX ) and RS Value Fund(RSVAX).

Best known to many is the Fidelity Contrafund(FCNTX), which holds $63 billion in assets and is the company's largest stock mutual fund.

In recent years, the mutual fund has focused mostly on large-cap, growth-oriented companies like Apple(AAPL), Google(GOOG) and McDonald's(MCD).

Investors have done well with the Contrafund. The mutual fund has beaten the benchmark S&P 500 this year and last.

New BP Data Show 20% of Gulf Spill Responders Exposed to Chemical That Sickened Valdez Workers

http://www.nytimes.com/gwire/2010/07/09/09greenwire-new-bp-data-show-20-of-gulf-spill-responders-e-82494.html
By ELANA SCHOR of Greenwire
Published: July 9, 2010

BP's new summary of chemical testing, posted to its website this week after a nearly monthlong absence of new data, also makes notable revisions to the company's public characterization of the health risks facing Gulf workers. The oil giant now describes the government as a partner in developing the program for monitoring cleanup crews.

In a June 9 report on worker test results, BP confidently asserted that the health hazards of exposure to both dispersant chemicals and the components of leaking crude "are very low." In its latest summary, BP replaced those three words with an assurance that health risks "have been carefully considered in the selection of the various methods employed in addressing its spill."

The new BP summary, including results up to June 29, show a broad majority of workers testing below exposure limits set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

But the Valdez-linked chemical 2-butoxyethanol was detected at levels up to 10 parts per million (ppm) in more than 20 percent of offshore responders and 15 percent of those near shore. The NIOSH standard for 2-butoxyethanol, which lacks the force of law but is considered more health-protective than the higher OSHA limit, is 5 ppm.

Some public-health advocates pointed out that BP references the NIOSH ceiling of each chemical it tested for except 2-butoxyethanol, an ingredient in the Corexit 9527 dispersant that BP phased out after spraying it in the Gulf during the early days of the spill. "They're playing with these numbers," said Mark Catlin, a veteran industrial hygienist who has studied the worker-health fallout from the 1989 Valdez spill.

Natural Resources Defense Council Senior Scientist Gina Solomon described BP's continued offshore 2-butoxyethanol detection during the month of June as "worrisome."

"It suggests to me that there is still, clearly, a serious air-quality concern. ... [Gulf] air quality, if anything, seems to be deteriorating," Solomon said.

Hunter College toxicology professor Frank Mirer said it would be "implausible" that the ongoing detection of 2-butoxyethanol among workers could be attributable to only BP's early use of Corexit 9527.

On June 9, BP's testing summary stated: "BP has, for the very start, worked hard to ensure that the people involved in all the activities associated with the incident are protected." That sentence also appeared in this week's report, with "BP" replaced by "the Unified Area Command," the government's joint oil spill response effort.

More questions than answers

BP's latest report on worker exposures adds test results for three components of crude oil not mentioned in previous monitoring summaries: toluene, xylene and ethylbenzene. Solomon praised the company for releasing more of its data amid pressure for increased transparency from members of Congress (E&E Daily, June 15).

"I was very happy to see they have presented results for many more chemicals than they were previously," she said.

However, the company's continued use of bar graphs that encompass ranges of exposures -- without including where and under what conditions the Gulf tests are performed -- left several occupational safety experts with more questions than answers.

New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health industrial hygienist David Newman, who served on a U.S. EPA expert panel that evaluated lingering public health risks after the Sept. 11 attacks, cautioned against focusing on worker testing data without considering broader details of particular on-the-job chemical exposures.

"We had a humongous amount of data after 9/11," Newman said. "Most if not all of the data were reassuring. And yet harm was done."

Catlin echoed Newman's warning. "There are certainly some folks saying, 'Look at all this data, everything looks good,'" he said, "but we saw that same thing on the Exxon Valdez. ... The summary data BP provides is too sketchy to be able to give a clean bill of health."

It took a couple of weeks for the COREXIT to kill the test animals.  If they didn't die in 96 hours, that menat COREXIT was "safe".

The COREXIT helps the oil to penetrate every part/organ of the body, including red blood cells which then explode.

Nice stuff.

Now 75% less toxic -- according to the EPA.  That place hasn't been the same since they put that governor from New Jersey in charge (original FOX in the henhouse).

Toxicologists: Corexit “Ruptures Red Blood Cells, Causes Internal Bleeding”, "Allows Crude Oil To Penetrate “Into The Cells” and “Every Organ System"
http://www.sott.net/articles/show/211831-Corexit-Ruptures-Red-Blood-Cells-Causes-Internal-Bleeding-Allows-Crude-Oil-to-Penetrate-Into-the-Cells-and-Every-Organ-System-
Submitted by George Washington on 07/09/2010 18:35 -0500

As I have previously noted, Corexit is toxic, is less effective than other dispersants, and is actually worsening the damage caused by the oil spill. Now, two toxicologists are saying that Corexit is much more harmful to human health and marine life than we've been told. Specifically Gulf toxicologist Dr. Susan Shaw - Founder and Director of the Marine Environmental Research Institute - dove into the oil spill to examine the chemicals present.

Dr. Shaw told CNN:

If I can tell you what happens — because I was in the oil — to people…

Shrimpers throwing their nets into water… [then] water from the nets splashed on his skin. …

[He experienced a] headache that lasted 3 weeks… heart palpitations… muscle spasms… bleeding from the rectum…

And that’s what that Corexit does, it ruptures red blood cells, causes internal bleeding, and liver and kidney damage. …

This stuff is so toxic combined… not the oil or dispersants alone. …

Very, very toxic and goes right through skin.

The reason this is so toxic is because of these solvents [from dispersant] that penetrate the skin of anything that’s going through the dispersed oil takes the oil into the cells — takes the oil into the organs… and this stuff is toxic to every organ system in the body.

He also explains that EPA toxicity testing for Corexit is woefully inadequate, since EPA testing for mortality usually only requires a 96-hour time frame. His doctoral research found that fish that were alive at 96 hours after exposure to pesticide were dead at two weeks, so the chemicals were considered non-lethal for the purposes of the test.

Surprise...plot for James Bond's Quantum of Solace...

an elite cabal of international bankers and royals develop a plan to push sustainable development and take over all natural resources. They understand that the next phase of the NWO will occur after oil is banished as a commodity.

And they had a great way to assassinate people who are not ready to move on to a resource feudal system and who are too controlled by the current petrol based economy...

Drown you in oil...oil penetrating skin....
