FRESNO, California -- SoCal Martial Law Alerts (SCMLA) interviewed Lee, an American who discovered while on a recent (Christian) mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, that Mexican banks will no longer exchange American dollars for Mexican pesos.

Lee said that, when he first arrived in Oaxaca two weeks ago, the banks would still exchange American dollars for Mexican pesos, but then when he accompanied a friend to a Mexican bank approximately one week ago, that's when he discovered the policy change regarding dollar-to-peso currency exchanges.

From 2 weeks ago he came, and now a week later?

Seriously - don't mean to sound panicky, false alarmy, doom and gloom, etc, but the NWO elite have SOMETHING up their sleeves in the coming weeks, or even days.

Yes, he WENT to Mexico two weeks ago & while he was there, the new currency exchange policy went into effect. I remember when you couldn't get AMERICAN stores & banks to accept pesos ... Now look. It's the other way around! =:O

Also, the fact that NONE of this made any of the press(national or local) there in Mexico, really makes one wonder if the governments in North America are preparing for SOMETHING(i.e. false flag nuke, NAU forming, currency change, or whatever).

No wonder why the elite want to wipe out the internet - obviously, this is the only place TRUTH gets out. Otherwise, everyone would be in the dark.

In confirmation of our earlier report:

Banks In Oaxaca, Mexico No Longer Accept American Dollars 6/17/10

We have found an article confirming dollar-to-peso currency exchange restrictions in Mexico (see below) -- none of which makes any sense (see Carrie's comments).

Also, please forgive the broken English -- the article was translated from the Spanish by Google & a lousy translation it is.

My specific thoughts are below, but the long & short of it is:

These currency restrictions ultimately result in 100% traceable customer transactions & greater banker control of Mexican & American currency, which benefits neither country AT ALL, but which benefits the world's bankers to the EXTREME.

Additional thoughts / questions:

  • Why is Mexico taking this drastic measure to limit "drug money" based solely upon alleged U.S. documentation that the Banks Association of Mexico cannot repeat & verify?
  • Why is Mexico acting to further hurt their own economy -- & most especially their own tourist industry -- in the midst of a global depression?
  • As it now stands, the only way to convert dollars to pesos is through wire transfer. This means that all transactions can now be tracked & traced & the consumer is at the mercy of the bank's exchange rate. Who sets these rates anyway & why can one no longer "shop around" for a better rate?
  • We already know that the so-called "drug war" is a contrived conflict to weed out drug dealers who don't pay their cut to the US / IMF / NWO banksters. So who really gains from this ridiculously-restrictive currency-exchange policy anyway, other than the banksters themselves?
  • The currency restrictions are not limited to popular tourist destinations as evidenced by our video report. So, if this is a nationwide mandate in Mexico, then why is it not clearly posted at all Mexican banks (rather than informing people verbally on a case-by-case basis)?

The dollar exchange under suspicion in Mexico

Most Mexican banks stopped buying dollars in cash.

For several weeks, Jorge Ramos, boot from the Cancun airport, lives an unusual paradox: in their pockets usually takes daily about U.S. $ 70 (plus 800 pesos) which receives as tips, but at the same time does not have enough money to buy food everyday.

It is at that destination, as in several cities in Mexico, change dollars into pesos has become a problem.

To prevent illegal money transactions, most of the nation's banks suspended at their counters to buy the U.S. currency in cash.

It is a decision which, in the business, has caused problems not only for tourism, but also families living on remittances, to merchants and other service providers.

"The good tips are in dollars and no way to tell the tourists that will give me pesos. I left without anything," Ramos told the BBC.

Obligados

Forced

The Banks Association of Mexico (ABM) said that the law requires financial institutions to be more stringent for all transactions in dollars.

All it seeks is to limit the admission of large amounts of dollars of illicit origin, who come to our economy through a very porous border and wide.

Recently, the U.S. government released a report on money laundering of organized crime, especially drug trafficking.

The document, entitled "Illicit Goods Binational Study," states that each year between U.S. $ 19,000 million and U.S. $ 29,000 million are sent from the U.S. to Mexico to support criminal gangs, especially drug traffickers.

About half of this money goes through the Mexican financial system, warns the study.

The data can not be verified completely, said the ABM, which for now established strict controls to prevent money laundering.

"Frontera porosa"

"Porous border"

One of the measures to control illegal operations is the restriction on the purchase of dollars in cash.

This is an action to which financial institutions are entitled, explained to BBC World Carlos Lopez Moctezuma, director of special projects for the National Banking and Securities Commission (NBSC), a government agency.

"Each bank has strengthened its controls. The measures are for cash transactions," he added.

The Ministry of Finance of Mexico reported that this week issued special rules to regulate operations with the U.S. currency in cash.

It is not prohibit the purchase of dollars, but to prevent money laundering, recently said Finance Minister Ernesto Cordero.

"All we are seeking to limit the entry of large amounts of dollars of illicit origin, who come to our economy through a very porous border and very broad."

According to Cordero, the restrictions on currency transactions in the U.S. attempts to avoid the large deposits that the authorities have detected in the Mexican banking system.

Mercado negro

Black market

For now, the decision of the banks has been criticized by other financial services business.

Many houses of change, for example, minimized the purchase of dollars because they do not have enough pesos to deliver, Germain said Castro, president of the National Association of Centers Foreign Exchange and Money Transmitters.

"It's an outrage, people are turning to where you can to change money. There is already a black market for dollars," added Castro.

This incipient parallel market, he said, is composed of commercial establishments without permission for financial transactions and buy dollars at a price lower than market rate.

Financial authorities, however, rejected the existence of a black market and insisted that the decision of the banks did not cause problems.
