UK bans doctor who linked autism to vaccine

LONDON - Britain's top medical group ruled Monday that a doctor who claimed autism was linked to a childhood vaccine can no longer practice in the U.K.

The General Medical Council also found Dr. Andrew Wakefield guilty of "serious professional misconduct" as it struck him from the country's medical register. The council was investigating how Wakefield and colleagues carried out their research, not the science behind it.

When the research was published a dozen years ago, British parents abandoned the measles vaccine in droves, leading to a resurgence of the disease. Vaccination rates have never recovered and there are outbreaks of measles in the U.K. every year.

n 1998, Wakefield and colleagues published a study alleging a link between autism and the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella. Most of the study's authors renounced its conclusions and it was retracted by the journal in February.

Many other studies have been conducted since then and none have found a connection between autism and the vaccines. Wakefield moved to the U.S. several years ago and the ruling does not affect his right to practice medicine there or in other countries.

In 2005, Wakefield founded a nonprofit autism center in Austin, Texas, but quit earlier this year.

In January, Britain's medical council ruled that Wakefield and two other doctors acted unethically and showed a "callous disregard" for the children in their study. The medical body said Wakefield took blood samples from children at his son's birthday party, paying them 5 pounds (today worth $7.20) each and later joked about the incident.

In a statement then, Wakefield said the medical council's investigation was an effort to "discredit and silence" him to "shield the government from exposure on the (measles) vaccine scandal."

In Monday's ruling, the medical council said Wakefield abused his position as a doctor and "brought the medical profession into disrepute."

Both here in America and in the UK, if a doctor does not follow the medical board's playbook, he/she does not practice medicine.  The following article has a reference to an Amish community that takes no vaccines and HAS NO AUTISM among it's children.

 http://www.endowmentmed.org/index.php?Itemid=38&id=284&option=com_content&task=view

No Autism in Unvaccinated Amish Community

The Dangers of Thimerosal

Dan Olmstead, Autism's Dick Tracy

By EVELYN PRINGLE

According to officials in the nation's regulatory agencies, the main obstacle to proving or disproving a link between the autism epidemic and the mercury-based preservative, thimerosal, that was contained in childhood vaccines until a few years ago, and is still in flu vaccines, has been the inability to find a large enough group of people who have never been vaccinated to compare with people who have.

In fact, a few months ago, CDC officials claimed that such a study would be nearly impossible. On July 19, 2005, the CDC held a Media Briefing on the topic of vaccines and child health. On the issue of government research on autism, a reporter asked CDC Director, Dr Julie Gerberding: "are you putting any money into clinical studies rather than epidemiological studies, to verify or disprove the parents' claim about a particular channel, a particular mechanism by which a minority of genetically suspectable kids are supposed damaged?"

Gerberding replied: To do the study that you're suggesting, looking for an association between thimerosal and autism in a prospective sense is just about impossible to do right now because we don't have those vaccines in use in this country so we're not in a position where we can compare the children who have received them directly to the children who don't.

Dr Duane Alexander, of the National Institute of Health, agreed and said: It's really not possible ... in this country to do a prospective study now of thimerosal and vaccines in relationship to autism. Only a retrospective study which would be very difficult to do under the circumstances could be mounted with regard to the thimerosal question.

However, Dan Olmsted, investigative reporter for United Press International, and author of the Age of Autism series of reports, appears to have solved this problem when he came up with the idea of checking out the nation's Amish population where parents do not ordinarily vaccinate children.

First he looked to the Amish community in Pennsylvania and found a family doctor in Lancaster who had treated thousands of Amish patients over a quarter-century who said he has never seen an Amish person with autism, according to Age of Autism: A glimpse of the Amish on June 2, 2005.

Olmsted also interviewed Dick Warner, who has a water purification and natural health business and has been in Amish households all over the country. "I've been working with Amish people since 1980," Warner said.

"I have never seen an autistic Amish child -- not one," he told Olmsted. "I would know it. I have a strong medical background. I know what autistic people are like. I have friends who have autistic children," he added.

Olmsted did find one Amish woman in Lancaster County with an autistic child but as it turns out, the child was adopted from China and had been vaccinated. The woman knew of two other autistic children but here again, one of those had been vaccinated.

Next Olmsted visited a medical practice in Middleburg, Indiana, the heart of the Amish community, and asked whether the clinic treated Amish people with autism.

A staff member told Olmsted that she had never thought about it before, but in the five years that she had worked at the clinic she had never seen one autistic Amish.

On June 8, 2005, Olmsted reported on the autism rate in the Amish community around Middlefield, Ohio, which was 1 in 15,000, according to Dr Heng Wang, the medical director, at the DDC Clinic for Special Needs Children.

"So far," according to Age of Autism, "there is evidence of fewer than 10 Amish with autism; there should be several hundred if the disorder occurs among them at the same 166-1 prevalence as children born in the rest of the population."

In addition to the Amish, Olmsted recently discovered another large unvaccinated group. On December 7, 2005, Age of Autism reported that thousands of children cared for by Homefirst Health Services in metropolitan Chicago have at least two things in common with Amish children, they have never been vaccinated and they don't have autism.

Homefirst has five offices in the Chicago area and a total of six doctors. "We have about 30,000 or 35,000 children that we've taken care of over the years, and I don't think we have a single case of autism in children delivered by us who never received vaccines," said Dr Mayer Eisenstein, Homefirst's medical director who founded the practice in 1973.

Olmsted reports that the autism rate in Illinois public schools is 38 per 10,000, according to state Education Department data. In treating a population of 30,000 to 35,000 children, this would logically mean that Homefirst should have seen at least 120 autistic children over the years but the clinic has seen none.

It looks like the problem is finally solved. Thanks to autism's Dick Tracy, the government now has thousands of unvaccinated people to compare to people who were vaccinated.

Bloody hell !
NO AUTISM AND NO VACCINES !
And this is a coincidence i suppose?
I think not.
If this isn`t convincing i dont know what is. I will not let my kids have vaccines anymore - they did when i was a younger, and hadn`t yet woken up.
The simple reasoning of take this poison which may make you sick to protect you against getting something that might make you sick, even though so far you have not come across such an illness, just doesnt add up.

And phasma you have heard Alex say many times that there are many Americans with cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc. that are more than likely caused by vaccines.  We have many 20 to 30 year old girls here with cancer.  Almost every classroom in our schools has AT LEAST ONE AUTISTIC CHILD IN IT.  It is maddening.

No UK Compulsory MMR [Government U-Turns Amid Drug Industry Links]
http://childhealthsafety.wordpress.com/2009/06/24/mmr-u-turn/
Posted on June 24, 2009 by principled

 :::: :::::: :: :::: ::::

After overwhelming public pressure and at risk of losing more voters the socialist British Government Health Minister Edwina Hart has been forced to announce there will be no compulsory MMR in Wales – a proposal described last year by British Medical Association Chairman Dr Hamish Meldrum as “stalinist“: UK No compulsory MMR, minister says BBC News Tuesday, 16 June 2009

Whilst this news means compulsion for the rest of the UK is out for the moment and public pressure has succeeded this time, questions need to be asked of British politicians.

ChildHealthSafety’s investigations here reveal concerning links between the drug industry,  GlaxoSmithKline in particular and those pushing for compulsory vaccination. And what is revealed here is a “tip of an iceberg“.

How it is those with close and substantial ties to the drug industry are given positions of influence in government over policy which favours the commercial interests of the drug industry. Everyone concerned about this matter should urgently contact their MP, whose address can be found here http://tinyurl.com/ljxtgv.

The issue of compulsion strikes at the very heart of social democracy; the connections and affiliations of those who claim necessity need scrutiny. Compulsion of any medical product contravenes human rights; it fails to acknowledge humanity’s right to lawful informed consent; it fails to acknowledge the right to decide for oneself one’s own fate in the face of potential death or debility. It resides within the spirit of the abuse of an individual and is more fittingly prescribed by a fascist regime; it has no place in a civilised democracy.

Hart’s decision was claimed to be based on compulsion causing distrust of nurses and doctors.  However, after unprecedented press coverage readers’ comments on UK national news blogs were overwhelming against with some saying they would not vote for the current government [with national elections to be held within the next 12 months]: Should the MMR jab be compulsory? BBC News Have Your Say June 2009.

The Minister made no mention of the UK Government’s failure to persuade voters MMR is safe.  It is not.  MMR has insufficient scientific evidence, let alone proof, of effectiveness or safety according to the most comprehensive Cochrane Collaboration systematic review ever undertaken. In addition mumps and rubella vaccinations are unnecessary for children according to sources already cited on CHS including JCVI, MoD, BMA and RPSGB.

British Medical Association Chairman Dr Hamish Meldrum described the proposals as “Stalinist” and said forcing parents to have their children inoculated was “morally and ethically dubious“: No jabs, no school says Labour MP BBC News 11 May 2008

In May 2008 Labour MP for Wakefield Mary Creagh, head of Labour’s Manifesto Group on Public Health, and Sir Sandy Macara, ex-Chairman of the British Medical Association, the UK doctor’s trades union, wrote in the magazine of the UK socialist Government’s Fabian Society, the Fabian Review, that the United Kingdom should use the same sanctions as the United States to make vaccines compulsory, that schools should be required to verify that all children enrolled have been vaccinated, and that children should not be allowed to receive health benefits unless they are vaccinated.

The Chair of the BMA, the Government, and the Nuffield Council on Bioethics line was clearly ignored by health minister for Wales Edwina Hart who announced that “she had been considering MMR as an entry requirement for school” since Wales was experiencing 302 cases of measles; “the rising number of measles cases necessitated a fresh look at compulsory MMR vaccination and this has been undertaken” she said, then concluded that “compulsion would adversely affect the trust that most parents have in local health professionals” …. and she would “concentrate on providing reassurance based on sound advice to parents”: UK No compulsory MMR, minister says BBC News Tuesday, 16 June 2009

Not to be outdone “after a debate in Cardiff Bay, Sir Sandy Macara a former Chairman of the BMA, backed a compulsory MMR vaccine saying he believed children should not be able to go to school unless they have first been vaccinated”; and in turn not to be outdone by Macara the Strategic Health Authority for London, NHS London, “has asked the Department of Health if it could introduce compulsory vaccinations and the right to insist on an immunisation certificate”.

But who is behind NHS London?

The coincidental significance of MMR vaccine manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline [GSK] having the potential to influence compulsion is not lost when one considers that ex GSK CEO Professor Sir Richard Sykes is Chair of NHS London since 1st December 2008.

GSK is the main British corporation standing to make substantial gains from compulsion of MMR vaccine.

Sykes was employed by GSK for 30 years and became Chairman and Chief Executive before in 2002 taking over as Rector of Imperial College Oxford until June 2008. He became Chair of NHS London on 1st December 2008.

“NHS London is the Strategic Health Authority (SHA) for the whole of the Greater London area. That means we are responsible for making sure that all the NHS healthcare services provided in London are world-class.” (http://www.london.nhs.uk/who-we-are).

Sykes is probably the most widely known figure associated with GSK. [Fellow of Imperial College London, Oxford University and of King’s College London, Fleming Fellow of Lincoln College Oxford and the University of Central Lancashire.]

Sykes is also an Honorary Fellow of the University of Wales, Cardiff where Sandy Macara recently argued for compulsion as well as in the UK’s Labour Party’s Fabian Review in May 2008.

Yorkshire Labour child health MP Mary Creagh’s calls for compulsion were coincident with Richard Sykes’ brother Hugh Sykes’ 3 year term as Chair of Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust coming to the end. Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust covers Creagh’s Parliamentary constituency.

The comprehensive Demicheli, Jefferson et al 2005 Systematic Review (Cochrane Database Syst Rev. 2005 Oct 19;(4): CD004407. “Vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella in children”) involving more than 5000 published studies stated:

..We could not identify studies assessing the effectiveness of MMR that fulfilled our inclusion criteria…. The design and reporting of safety outcomes in MMR vaccine studies, both pre- and post-marketing, are largely inadequate…”.

When the science does not support MMR, how can compulsion be anything other than a cynical marketing strategy promoted solely in the interests of profit-making corporations?

GSK faced one of its most powerful challenges to dominance of the UK MMR market when Dr Wakefield’s research was published in 1998. GSKs reputation described above suggests that Wakefield and his excellent team would inevitably suffer  and have suffered vigorous  attempts against them and their work: British Government & Establishment’s Efforts to Deny Compensation to MMR Vaccine Child Victims.

Sykes position at Imperial was taken by another ex GSK director Roy Anderson who previously left Oxford University after a unanimous vote of no confidence in him by the Department of Zoology.

GSK Board Director Sir Crispin Davis presided over The Lancet as CEO owners Reed Elsevier when The Royal Free London Hospital Team’s 1998 Lancet paper suggesting a possible link between MMR and autism and bowel disease was attacked by Lancet Editor Dr Richard Horton.

Davis’ brother Justice Nigel Davis presided over the appeal hearing and turned down legal aid for many vaccine-injured children.

Their other brother Ian Davis managed McKinsey – advisor to New labour on NHS  matters,  and the company whose senior personnel like John Birt were afforded numerous advisory appointments by Prime Minister Blair subordinating elected officials. Blair and then Health Secretary Reed made press statements supporting MMR despite the scientific and widespread public protestations against MMR.

Clearly GSK has valuable friends in essential places.

There is no excuse for the public health MP Creagh or public health professional Macara to be other than fully aware of any dangers posed to a population such as Britains’ young children from compulsory mass vaccination.

Before embarking on their simplistic arguments for compulsion they should have done essential research into published and widely available other sources of information on vaccinations. Despite the probable addition of three new vaccines untested in Britain Creagh and Macara promote compulsion of an

“NHS programme which immunises toddlers against MMR, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, meningitis and pneumonia” to include “expanding that scheme by adding chicken pox, flu and winter vomiting virus to the list of jabs for under twos”: No MMR jab, no school under new plans The Telegraph 10 May 2008 Laura Donnelly, Health Correspondent

In 1998 GSK, Government and academic scientists should have been aware that the MMR had little if any published peer reviewed scientific credibility. Parents and clinicians had been alleging serious damage from MMR for almost 10 years by then including that MMR caused autistic spectrum disorders [ASD], the frequency and rate of which skyrocketed since vaccination programmes were heavily expanded from 1988.

Wakefield found that the vaccine virus in the gut of sufferers coincident with a newly defined type of gut disorder and suggested that measles vaccination should be investigated as potential for causation. This was the first clinical evidence of a possible association between a new gut disease and MMR vaccine virus; a disease that in the small sample was also associated with regression into autism. GSK would know that such information might impact negatively on sales of a very lucrative product and possibly other products.

One of GSKs most lucrative but problematic products, the MMR vaccine, may become accepted to be one of the causes of ASD after ASD rates skyrocketed and US Courts have begun associating ASD conditions with MMR vaccination: AUTISM – US Court Decisions and Other Recent Developments – It’s Not Just MMR.

Compulsion of vaccinations, particularly MMR, despite there being no reasonable scientific evidence for efficacy or safety is an expressed aim. The strategy depends on how soon the significance of the recent developments in MMR litigation and research is understood; and is possibly why they wish to force a debate as quickly as possible; laws are quick to be passed but slow to revoke with our governments.

Reputations might be enveloped in litigation from the global attrition rate of neurological damage, death and debilities that may one day be accepted are caused by the vaccines they wish to mandate.

Hannah Poling’s US Federal Court case demonstrated ilinkage of mitochondrial dysfunction, autism and vaccination including MMR vaccine. Bailey Banks in June 2007 was found in Court to have an autistic spectrum disorder caused by MMR: AUTISM – US Court Decisions and Other Recent Developments – It’s Not Just MMR

Enquiries in the US found that vaccination damage cases involving children with ASDs are being represented in the courts without mention of autism as success depends on not mentioning autism. CBS news found that since 1988 the vaccine court has awarded money judgments, often in millions of dollars, to 1322 families whose children suffered brain damage to vaccines; in many of these cases the government paid out awards following a judicial finding that vaccine injury lead to the child’s autism spectrum disorder: MMR Causes Autism – Another Win In US Federal Court

Vaccines can never be declared free from the threat of disaster therefore compulsion should never be considered. “Questions over vaccine safety ” By Steve Connor, Science Editor  The Independent illustrates this perfectly:-

Health officials have been forced to withdraw 21,000 doses of the meningitis C vaccine from GP clinics around the UK after it emerged that some doses may have been contaminated with a blood-poisoning bacterium. More than 60,000 doses of the vaccine, which is offered to all four-month-old babies, could be contaminated with the hospital-acquired infection – the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium – and a third of these had already been sent to vaccination clinics before officials became aware of the problem. Officials within the Department of Health and the vaccine’s manufacturers are believed to have known of the problem since Tuesday but only issued an emergency recall last night after being contacted about the potential contamination by The Independent”

Questions over vaccine safety Steve Connor, Science Editor The Independent Thursday, 26 February 2009

The UK Measles/Rubella vaccination campaign in 1994/5 demonstrated the public accepted as true DoH stories of impending epidemics which never happened to clear damaged and end of life stocks before renewing them with an update product, then MMR II.

The 1999-2000 process, when children were made to ingest live oral polio virus vaccines alongside their BCG jabs at school without fully informed parental or child consent further demonstrated the ignorance and indifference towards British children of medical professionals who helped the industry clear “to be withdrawn” stocks of OPV suspected of contamination with NvCJD – no concern for the health or welfare of those children. was shown.

Now people are more aware compulsion may be the only tactic left for the pharmaceutical industry.

History tells that any compulsion in our so-called democratic free societies could result in mass public outcry, perhaps rebellion, and eventual retribution against those who conspired to defy public decency for so many years. So compulsion may be pressed, as privatization in the NHS through PFI processes, by the back door.

Politicians test the water, academics and media sponsored by the drugs giants whose supporters develop the theme after securing essential positions in political, academic, and scientific circles, at the heart of the British establishment.

Before drug companies came up with the triple MMR vaccine rubella vaccine was of no benefit to a child especially boys and especially compared to the risks.  Mumps vaccine was expressly not recommended for children.

So why are we giving them?  It is time all parents started asking the simple questions – like that one.

And who said so?

The British Medical Association, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation and the UK’s Ministry of Defence:

“Since mumps and its complications are very rarely serious there is little indication for the routine use of mumps vaccine”:  British National Formulary (’BNF’) 1985 and 1986

The BNF is a joint publication of the BMA and RPSGB.

Freedom of Information documents show the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation and Ministry of Defence agreed as early as 1974 that:-

“there was no need to introduce routine vaccination against mumps” because “complications from the disease were rare” JCVI minutes 11 Dec 1974.

It is unethical to give a child unnecessary medical treatment and can be a criminal offence:  Appleton v Garrett (1995) 34 BMLR 23.

The Fabian Society has an interesting history.

“Leon Trotsky, an influential 20th century revolutionary socialist, wrote that Fabianism was an attempt to save capitalism from the working class. He wrote that “throughout the whole history of the British Labour movement there has been pressure by the bourgeoisie upon the proletariat through the agency of radicals, intellectuals, drawing-room and church socialists and Owenites who reject the class struggle and advocate the principle of social solidarity, preach collaboration with the bourgeoisie, bridle, enfeeble and politically debase the proletariat.”..”In an article published in The Guardian on 14 February 2008, following the apology offered by Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd to the “stolen generations”, Geoffrey Robertson criticises Fabian socialists for providing the intellectual justification for the eugenics policy that led to the stolen generations scandal.”  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabian_Society ).

Merck (Manufacturer of MMR) has a Doctor Hit List List to neutralize Physicians that expose their crimes against humanity.

Drug Company Merck Drew Up Doctor "Hit List"

Philip K Dickhead sends in a piece from the Australian media, a couple of weeks old, that hasn't seen much discussion here. In a class-action lawsuit in Australia against Merck for its Vioxx anti-arthritis drug, information has come out that the company developed a "hit list" of doctors who had expressed anything but enthusiasm for the drug. Vioxx was withdrawn from the market in 2004 because it causes heart attacks and strokes. Merck settled a class action in the US for $4.85 billion but did not admit guilt.
"An international drug company made a hit list of doctors who had to be 'neutralized' or discredited because they criticized the anti-arthritis drug the pharmaceutical giant produced. Staff at US company Merck & Co. emailed each other about the list of doctors — mainly researchers and academics — who had been negative about the drug Vioxx or Merck and a recommended course of action. The email, which came out in the Federal Court in Melbourne yesterday as part of a class action against the drug company, included the words 'neutralize,' 'neutralized,' or 'discredit' against some of the doctors' names. It is also alleged the company used intimidation tactics against critical researchers, including dropping hints it would stop funding to institutions and claims it interfered with academic appointments. 'We may need to seek them out and destroy them where they live,' a Merck employee wrote, according to an email excerpt read to the court by Julian Burnside QC, acting for the plaintiff."

Massive medical fraud exposed: pharmaceutical company paid doctors to prescribe drugs and run sham clinical trials
http://www.naturalnews.com/001298.html
Friday, July 09, 2004
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger

Here's a must-read article for anyone interested in learning how the pharmaceutical industry really operates. It's a case of aggressive marketing gone bad, with a mixture of corrupt physicians, underhanded payola and a near-total disregard for patient health. And yet it's business as usual in the pharmaceutical industry: drug maker Schering-Plough, one of the largest drug companies in the world, has been outright bribing physicians to prescribe drugs and operate sham clinical trials.

Here's how it would work: doctors who prescribed the drug company's products and avoided competing drugs were paid "consulting fees" of tens of thousands of dollars. And what kind of consulting did these doctors do? The kind of consulting that requires nothing more than signing a blank sheet of paper and cashing the check, of course. And thousands of doctors participated in this criminal scam, collecting untold sums of money in exchange for hyping Schering-Plough's pharmaceuticals to patients. (Medical ethics, anyone?)

Doctors were paid even more money to conduct fraudulent clinical trials that would require patients to take the drugs for twelve months at a time, which of course rang up even more drug profits for the manufacturer and resulted in more kickbacks to the doctors. That's right: they're literally playing doctor with your life while pocketing the drug money.

If all this sounds outrageous, think again: this is precisely the kind of criminal activity that now typifies the pharmaceutical industry and organized medicine in general. These companies will do anything to make a buck, including outright bribing doctors with lavish meals, free gifts and even trips to Hawaii and other exotic destinations, all under the guise of "continuing medical education" (CME) courses. It's all a scam, and the vast majority of physicians just go right along with it, pocketing the benefits and dosing up their patients with whatever drug they've been told to prescribe.

I've seen it myself: a room-full of doctors in Hawaii, ditching a drug company sponsored "education" event, where airfare and hotels were provided for free. Why were the doctors ditching the class? Because they wanted to have fun in Hawaii, and attendance wasn't required after the first hour. It's basically just a paid vacation scam, courtesy of the pharmaceutical company. And it's happening every day, right now.

Prescription drugs are so profitable -- some drugs are now sold at more than 500,000% markup over the actual cost of their raw ingredients -- that drug companies will do practically anything to sell more pills. They invent fictitious diseases and urge doctors and parents to dose their children with powerful narcotics. They conduct fraudulent clinical trials, making sure to bury any negative results that would show how dangerous their drugs really are. They buy the favor of the media by pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into magazine, television, newspaper and online advertising. They pressure the FDA into delaying the ban on extremely dangerous drugs in order to squeeze out another twelve months of profits even while patients are dying from drug-induced liver failure.

And the scam works: drug profits are up. Way up. Meanwhile, the American people are sicker than ever. Drugs aren't helping the population at large, all they're doing is turning the United States into a nation of chemical zombies who suffer from the extremely toxic side effects of taking dozens of prescriptions in combination.

It's the greatest con in American history. It's the racket of the millennium. The drug companies are running the show, cutting off drugs from Canada, monopolizing the U.S. market, running the FDA, bribing doctors and killing patients all the while. Even based on statistics from conventional medicine, prescription drugs are right now killing 100,000 Americans each year and injuring another two million. And that doesn't count the tens of thousands of additional deaths caused by NSAIDs and over-the-counter painkillers.

It's not an exaggeration to call this a medical holocaust. These drug companies seem determined to dose the entire population with as many simultaneous prescriptions as possible, as long as it generates profits for their shareholders. Business ethics are nowhere to be found in the pharmaceutical industry these days: it's all about money, profits, power and control.

And the funny part about all this is that these drugs are almost entirely unnecessary. There's not a single chronic disease that's actually cured or reversed from any prescription drug in existence. All these drugs do is treat symptoms and barely keep the patients alive long enough to write another check to cover their growing medical debt. Chemotherapy is a sham and has absolutely no scientific merit whatsoever. (Yes, it shrinks tumors, but it adds nothing to a patient's lifespan.) Statin drugs are a con, and yet they're being over-prescribed for all sorts of chronic disorders that actually need to be treated with nutrition and exercise, not drugs. And over-the-counter drugs are both extremely dangerous and highly ineffective. NSAIDs kill some 40,000 patients each year from intestinal bleeding -- and yet offer no real benefit to patients that couldn't be achieved from simple changes in diet and exercise.

The FDA, meanwhile, watches all this and focuses its own efforts on discrediting herbal supplements like ephedra. The agency seems determined to outlaw or regulate all nutritional supplements, thereby making vitamins illegal and practically guaranteeing another decade of outrageous profits for drug companies. It's no surprise: most FDA employees used to work for drug companies (or plan to in the near future). Many FDA employees maintain strong financial ties to the pharmaceutical industry. They're simply out to crush the natural health industry and thereby boost their own personal profits from pharmaceuticals.

Modern medicine is in shambles, folks. It's a train wreck. We're sicker, fatter and more depressed than ever. And the really good advice that people need isn't reaching them. Good health is really simple, it turns out. Get lots of natural sunlight on your skin daily. Eat superfoods like chlorella and spirulina. Avoid all refined carbohydrates and processed foods. Ban soft drinks from your life. Never touch cigarettes. Pick up strength training, yoga, pilates, cycling, jogging or some other physical exercise activity. And breathe, people. Breathe consciously. Your body needs oxygen. Learn how to put yourself in control of your own health: read Take Back Your Health Power!

In a way, the massive fraud now being exposed in western medicine is a blessing in disguise. Big Medicine has gone so far over the top with aggressive marketing and downright evil (if not criminal) tactics that the whole profiteering orgy is going to come crashing down on them. Big Medicine will soon be history -- remembered as just a moment of insanity in the history of modern civilization. Some day, people will say, "Do you remember when the whole country was dosed up on chemicals?" They'll shudder with the thought of it -- how we were all duped by the drug companies, by our family doctors, and by the Bush Administration's complicity in the whole scheme. They'll ask, "How could an entire country go mad like this?"

And the answer, of course, is that the whole country was doped up on prescription drugs that alter brain chemistry, cloud the mind, and turn ordinary consumers into pill-popping zombies.

It was a brilliant scam. It generated billions of dollars in profits. And now the truth is starting to come out: Big Medicine is about to become another sad chapter in the history of human deception. Good riddance.

Britain bans doctor who linked autism to vaccine

LONDON – The doctor whose research linking autism and the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella influenced millions of parents to refuse the shot for their children was banned Monday from practicing medicine in his native Britain.

Dr. Andrew Wakefield's 1998 study was discredited — but vaccination rates have never fully recovered and he continues to enjoy a vocal following, helped in the U.S. by endorsements from celebrities like Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy

Wakefield was the first researcher to publish a peer-reviewed study suggesting a connection between autism and the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella. Legions of parents abandoned the vaccine, leading to a resurgence of measles in Western countries where it had been mostly stamped out. There are outbreaks across Europe every year and sporadic outbreaks in the U.S.

"That is Andrew Wakefield's legacy," said Paul Offit, chief of infectious diseases at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. "The hospitalizations and deaths of children from measles who could have easily avoided the disease."

Wakefield's discredited theories had a tremendous impact in the U.S., Offit said, adding: "He gave heft to the notion that vaccines in general cause autism."

In Britain, Wakefield's research led to a huge decline in the number of children receiving the MMR vaccine: from 95 percent in 1995 — enough to prevent measles outbreaks — to 50 percent in parts of London in the early 2000s. Rates have begun to recover, though not enough to prevent outbreaks. In 2006, a 13-year-old boy became the first person to die from measles in Britain in 14 years.

"The false suggestion of a link between autism and the MMR vaccine has done untold damage to the UK vaccination program," said Terence Stephenson, president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. "Overwhelming scientific evidence shows that it is safe."

On Monday, Britain's General Medical Council, which licenses and oversees doctors, found Wakefield guilty of serious professional misconduct and stripped him of the right to practice medicine in the U.K. Wakefield said he plans to appeal the ruling, which takes effect within 28 days.

The council was acting on a finding in January that Wakefield and two other doctors showed a "callous disregard" for the children in their study, published in 1998 in the medical journal Lancet. The medical body said Wakefield took blood samples from children at his son's birthday party, paying them 5 pounds (about $7.20) each and later joked about the incident.

The study has since been widely rejected. From 1998-2004, studies in journals including the Lancet, the New England Journal of Medicine, Pediatrics and BMJ published papers showing no link between autism and the measles vaccine.

Wakefield moved to the U.S. in 2004 and set up an autism research center in Austin, Texas, where he gained a wide following despite being unlicensed as a doctor there and facing skepticism from the medical community. He quit earlier this year.

Offit said he doubted Britain's decision to strip the 53-year-old Wakefield of his medical license would convince many parents that vaccines are safe.

"He's become almost like a Christ-like figure and it doesn't matter that science has proven him wrong," Offit said. "He is a hero for parents who think no one else is listening to them."

Wakefield told The Associated Press Monday's decision was a sad day for British medicine. "None of this alters the fact that vaccines can cause autism," he said.

"These parents are not going away; the children are not going to go away and I most certainly am not going away," he said on NBC's "Today Show."

Wakefield claimed the U.S. government has been settling cases of vaccine-induced autism since 1991.

However, two rulings by a special branch of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in March and last year found no link between vaccines and autism. More than 5,500 claims have been filed by families seeking compensation for children they claim were hurt by the vaccine.

Wakefield has won support from parents suspicious of vaccines, including Hollywood celebrities.

McCarthy, who has an autistic son, issued a statement in February with then boyfriend Carrey asserting Wakefield was "being vilified through a well-orchestrated smear campaign."

"It is our most sincere belief that Dr. Wakefield and parents of children with autism around the world are being subjected to a remarkable media campaign engineered by vaccine manufacturers," the actors said.

McCarthy, whose best-seller "Louder Than Words" details her search for treatments for her son Evan, wrote the foreword for a new book by Wakefield about autism and vaccines.

In Monday's ruling, the medical council said Wakefield abused his position as a doctor and "brought the medical profession into disrepute."

At the time of his study, Wakefield was working as a gastroenterologist at London's Royal Free Hospital and did not have approval for the research. The study suggested autistic children had a bowel disease and raised the possibility of a link between autism and vaccines. He had also been paid to advise lawyers representing parents who believed their children had been hurt by the MMR vaccine.

Ten of the study's authors later renounced its conclusions and it was retracted by the Lancet in February.

At least a dozen British medical associations, including the Royal College of Physicians, the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust have issued statements verifying the safety of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine.

This verdict is not about (the measles) vaccine," said Adam Finn, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Bristol Medical School. "We all now know that the vaccine is remarkably safe and enormously effective... We badly need to put this right for the sake of our own children and children worldwide."

When you're getting as much flak as Rand Paul and Andrew Wakefield, you know you're over the target:

So what are people in the UK doing about it? Are they going to stand by this doctor and demand this board reverse this unfair nonsense or just ignore yet more?

UK people have no recourse to demand that because it is a professional body - not a govt one we would have no "sway"

This article suggests that the drop in vaccines use had been going on before the paper came out.

They had a rally for him recently in the USA. Peaceful protests over the action should continue in the US and England.

You know? Shouldn't it make anyone a bit mad that today's church is NOT praying against this wickedness?

If they're pro-life like they say they are, then why are they IGNORING something like this...especially with these vaccines having aborted fetal tissues in them?

Really - it ticks me off how the average joe is just apathetic toward this.

We ALL already know this. The vaccine cult avoids this one like the… well… plague. The vaccine cult and THEIR Medical Industrial Complex tried to show misleading data where THEY claimed… “sure enough their was autism amongst the Amish!” However, upon looking at THEIR so-called facts, it was later found those children with autism were adopted INTO the Amish community and of course WERE IN FACT, VACCINATED.

But that’s NOT where the most damning story is concerning vaccines and the Amish. The Amish don’t have disease ‘epidemics’. Sure some of them get measles, mumps and maybe the chicken pox. No big deal. After they are ‘inconvenienced’ with those they have LIFE LONG IMMUNITY to those diseases. Something vaccines CAN NOT DO! That’s the OTHER ‘damning fact’ the vaccine cult doesn’t wish to be honest about.
DON'T WORRY!!!!!

WE WILL BRING YOU DANCING WITH THE STARS IN IT'S ENTIRETY AFTER THIS SPECIAL REPORT!
