Stalked by the Census....what to do?

(1/1)

DeepDeepLethe:
I hope this is in the right section. So, back in April I sent back my census form and I only filled out the first box which as far as I understand is all I am required to fill out. If I recall correctly it was only the number of people in the household. Anyhoo, today a Census guy showed up here. I told him I already sent it in before the deadline, and he claimed that it was "crossover" or some bs like that, and then proceeded to try to ask me questions. I told him I was only required to answer the very first question and that is all I would answer. It was a very bad time as I wasn't feeling well, my toddler was on the potty which he still needs my assistance with, and I had a sprained ankle and limped to the door. AND I was in my nightclothes. Anyway, he protested he was just doing his job, and I told him it was nothing personal, I understood this, and I had no beef with him. I told him that I would again only tell him how many people lived here. He then said he needed a name so he could prove that he had been here. I said no, I would not provide any more information. He then replied that they would keep coming back, and I said they would keep getting the same answer. What am I missing here? Do I REALLY have to tell them any more than that? I wanted to tell him that the government can put it up their a&*, but thought better of it. I did say I wasn't giving the gov any more information whatsoever. So can they really harass me like this? I don't know what to do!!

ARGh this makes me so mad. I feel invaded.

anyone, please? I don't know what to do if they come back again. I am new to this stuff and any advice from more seasoned patriots will be so very appreciated!
