Robert Rodriquez and his buddy Tarantino are a couple of washed up has beens who were seriously overrated in the first place. You think they would know better than this after that crap Grindhouse movie they made flopped at the box office. It was so bad I walked out halfway through it.  Cheesy

reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, planet terror series... Great stuff!!
Now as far as this Machete movie goes, the old saying, "Any publicity is G00D publicity" is appropriate here, I think the more its harped up here and other places like Alex's show is just going to fuel this fire, going to make it a BLOCKBUSTER of epic proportions! Maybe not as well as that "Dancing with Smurfs" movie, but still will pocket enough. I believe it would dry up and fade away as it well should, if everyone just ignored this celluloid trash. I know the meanings important, but if nobody babbled about it, nor went to it, that would also make a positive impact on our fight!!

honestly thought the trailer seemed like a spoof.

All depends on who is watching and their point of view. Illegals may not see it as humor, but to me it seems in the vein of pulp fiction.

If it is released, no doubt it will stir things up.

Well at least listening to Alex it makes a great "shock jock" issues to getting listeners to tune in and thus sell more survivalist goods for his advertisers.  But having grown up in a farming community in the 1950s with kids of "wetbacks" (as they were called then) I find the issue a bit overblown.  Living in California with many people of Mexican ancestry from before California would even a state, who would probably blow off the whole controversy too.  It's a little like thinking that from an episode of "24" the US is teaming with Islamic terrorists when we know that isn't true.

I do agree with the solution that Mexicans need to demand equality in their own country.  They have been oppressed for centuries and this Alex clearly points out.   Let's face it, Mexico has a nice climate and a lot of Americans would love to retire there or live there but the place is so corrupt it is dangerous to do so.  If things were better in Mexico one would not have to worry people crossing the border to take away any jobs.

The film's controversy is like a big free ad campaign that will have lines around the block at theaters when it opens.
