I see you need to do a little more homework. I am not attacking you personally and don't get the wrong idea. That link is about libertarian SOCIALISM. Not true libertarianism. Libertarianism is what the founding fathers preached and debated. That any person can achieve through his ability and by his wits. To truly be a free human with unchangeable rights to pursue his own happiness as long he does not damage another free human. A person not controlled or enslaved by another and not controlling the free will of others. Yet in control of their own bodies, mind, finances, and lives. The right of free association and disassociation with other free humans. Libertarians believe that the truth should be told even if it is extremely painful and that innovation and true mental reason is the highest value that a person can achieve in art, science, economics, politics, and business.
I hope I helped you out. Good luck.

My point is that real libertarianism is on the left. You cannot have liberty without financial justice, an oligarchy of the rich, protecting their money cannot give us a state of liberty. Socialism insures liberty for all, because when you are financially secure you can truly be free to serve liberty.

Wrong Sincre. Read the works of Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, and F.A. Hayek. Libertarianism is about private property and the reduction or elimination of government. Libertarianism is "left" in the sense that it is radical from our current corporatist state. It wants to restore private property and socialism and eliminate government. My point is that real libertarianism is on the left. You cannot have liberty without financial justice, an oligarchy of the rich, protecting their money cannot give us a state of liberty. Socialism insures liberty for all, because when you are financially secure you can truly be free to serve liberty. What is "financial justice"? Socialism doesn't ensure freedom, it ensures one thing: Slavery.

There is no left and right, just right and wrong. Right is minarchism wrong is totalitarianism. Don't buy into socialism, it's a tool of the super-rich. They'll always use a big government to make themselves richer and destroy the middle class. The money that's given to the poor is used to control them and keep them in their place.

It has always and will always be called a "safety net" because it keeps the elites safe.

All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately

BTW if you think socialism is good read Ludwig von Mises' "Socialism". It disproves it and his assertion, made back in 1922, that socialism is inefficient because it has an economic calculation problem, has never been refuted.
