There is indeed the "spirit of antichrist", as scripture says, but there is also a physical person that will be THE Antichrist. Remember, the church may walk in the spirit and not the flesh, but at the same time, the world does what? Walks according to the flesh, and everything they do is of the flesh and outward appearence. They will produce The Antichrist, and you can be sure he will be in the flesh, because he is the poster child of walking in the flesh.
Respectfully show me where the word EVER says that one "person" will step up and assume the roll of the antichrist. You cannot find it nor will you ever. The catholic church is responsible for the false teachings and the pagan worship that is in every church in the world. That is why no church is correct.
In respect to the bible being written only to the Jew, yes and any scholar will tell you that. The word was written only to the jews, it was not until Act 10 that the Gentiles were graphed in and became jews. The jews understood the parables and that is why it was written to them first. Yahshua was there to save his people and his people rejected him. The book of Revelation is history it is about the destruction and the "flaming fire" and "taking vengeance" upon the people that the disciples were teaching. This is what Yahshua taught them. They asked him for the signs, and they asked him when he would come. That coming took place in 70AD when Titus and the Roman Army utterly destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. He told the disciples that the generation would not pass before he returned, Yahshua never lied and that generation(40 years) was over in 70AD. Since then, Yahshua has not spoken to his people. Judgment is what it was all about. We cannot take the word and put a modern day spin on it with talks of false prophets, rouge religions. The word is it's own interpreter and if you take the time to reference it and study it and open your heart to the Lord then possibly it will be show to you. Yahshua calls us, we do not call him. We were all bought with a price and he is in full control. I have done along with another friend and brother years of studies and I can tell you right now we all have had it wrong for so long. I thank God that he opened my eyes, I dont know why he did but he did. I am happy to know the truth, I am discouraged by the teachings of each and every church and religion today. Just like the government, there are too many and over years and years it has become corrupt. The church is the wrong place to be if you want Yahshua. He resides in us and our bodies are his temple. We do not need a church. Forsake not the assembly if you read the entire chapter and learn from it you will quickly see that it was not talking about assembling ourselves together. That is another false teaching by the church.
Again, if you dont know the Psalms, the prophets and the LAW(very very important) then you will not understand any of the prophecies or anything else in the word. Put your church, your religion and everything that you have been taught about it and leave it behind. The truth will set you free and when it is revealed unto you, you will be in Awe. I still am and am very happy that God chose me, but disappointed because not very many people will listen because their church and religion would never lead them astray.
