The blast happened at the city's central Lubyanka station, reports quoting security sources said. Another 10 people have been injured in the blast, the Russian news agency Tass said, quoting the emergencies ministry. A ministry spokeswoman said 14 people were killed in the train and 11 on the platform. The blast occurred on a train while it was in Lubyanka station, spokeswoman Irina Andrianov said.

ok, I was about to go to sleep when it just dawned on me that given all of the trouble our army is having in afghanistan this could be an attempt to get the russian people to support joining the united states there. Will have to see how this plays out but it smells bad already.

The square houses the former headquarters of the KGB and the Lubyanka prison. It now houses the Border Guard Service of Russia, which is the nation's federal security service which succeeded the KGB.

I am watching this live feed and these eye witnesses seem way to calm to see an explosion and people blown apart and dying right in front of them in my opinion. The British Accents make it seem even creepier in my opinion too. No offense to people here from Great Britain on here. Just an observation, sorry if I did offend you. |
