Just received this card on Saturday March 21.  It's from governor Phil Bredesen and the TN department of health.  Our children have been automatically enrolled in the state immunization registry.  Too bad they'll never have a record of vaccines for my children.  Oh yeah, it's sponsored by Hallmark.  How lovely.

So they automatically enroll your kids, but it isn't mandatory?
Lame.

Congratulations on your baby though!  Grin

Congrats on the new baby!   Grin  Truther babies are so important these days!

I suppose the pretty card is better than the scare tactic pamphlet that makes chickenpox look deadly (that's what my state sent me).  But that automatic but not mandatory enrollment is pretty lame. TN is one of the harder states for homeschooling, requiring proof of vaccination (most states don't).

This is horrific. There is no limit, no boundary on the amount of propaganda, the blatant plucking of parental heart-strings, while there is a cover-up bigger than 9-11 taking place regarding the national vaccine program

Deception in a nice way.   Roll Eyes

Congratulations to you!  Your child is very fortunate to be born of parents who are awake!

God Bless!

Congrats on the baby!! I love (sarcasm) the way the state automatically enrolled the child but at the bottom of the card says it isn't mandatory. Roll Eyes

CONGRATS ON THE NEW ARRIVAL !!!

I`d send them a card back - only it wouldnt be covered in fluffy pretty things.

(I heard they are trying to bring in a chicken pox vaccine in the UK - to prevent ugly scarring, and the less that 1% of kids who get it from having corneal scarring . . . they do this in south east asia already.)

Thank you everybody for the congrats.  I really appreciate it.  We have two now and they are vaccine free.  We know many people here who don't vaccinate their kids and our pediatrician is totally fine...he happens to be on an autism board that has looked into vaccines.

Ok, are you serious?!!!  You have to have proof of vaccination in TN in order to homeschool your own children?  Where can I find this documentation?

That's great you found a non-vax ped.  They are too rare these days!

I think the unvaxed kids are going to have some super roles to change the future, when so many others are unhealthy, brain damaged, and infertile from vaccines.  What a service we parents are blessed with...saving the future of humanity!

I was recently looking into the easiest and hardest states for homeschooling.  Some states don't require anything, and some are require a lot.

Here's the TN homeschool requirements:
http://www.state.tn.us/education/homeschool/requirements.shtml

Here is the TN Intent to Homeschool Form:
http://www.state.tn.us/education/homeschool/doc/aahschlintent.pdf
"B. HEALTH RECORDS: Please attach documentation indicating that student(s) have received immunizations as requir ed
by T.C.A. 49񫊝001."

They do allow religious and medical exemption from vaccines, so you can get out of it that way with this form:

Model Form: Religious Exemption from Vaccinations
http://tennessee.gov/education/schoolhealth/healthservices/doc/ReligiousExemptionFormED-5379.pdf

You don't have to really think about any of this homeschool reporting until your kids are 6.  You may want to check out HSLDA then.

Enjoy your baby moon!

Thank you so much!!!

Yes, we have religious exemption forms already filled out.  I took those to the hospital for both.  I have many copies on hand.
