I haven't read all pages of this thread, but wanted to share one small idea (forgive if it's already there):
we ought to compile this information, and produce a WEATHERPROOF pocket size book, and have someone via PP or AJ's main site sell them via PayPal. It's really hard to keep your stuff nice and clean when you are not used to roughing it. The last thing you want to lose to moisture damage etc is your information. Get some water proof paper + ink and start passing them out to friends.
Also, I had an idea before the election was over regarding sharing unused farmland with families who are interested in self sustaining. Any of you who own more land than you use, should consider inviting people onto it and letting them farm on it with you.

Go to Wikipedia and type in "Survival Kit" or follow this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survival_kit. I have just about everything from this list and made 3 seperate backpacks for each one in my family in case we get seperated. Here are some other things to prepare: Guns: primarily a large caliber revolver because a semi-auto could jam. If you can, have a semi-auto as a backup. Assault style rifle, such as, AR15, AK-47 or SKS. You can get a good Yugo SKS, put a composite stock from Tapco on it and turn it into a more powerful and accurate rifle than an AR. Ammo is very cheap, but stock up because it isn't as readily available. Large caliber rifle for big game hunting. I have a .338 that will cover it all. Works well as a sniper rifle, too. Small caliber rifle for small game. .22 Savage or Marlin are perfect. Camo: Stick with standard military ACU's from your local Army/Navy surplus or find them online. Also, try your hunting camo. Military ACU's come with an IR reflective chemical so that is a good advantage. DATA: Get a netbook and store all your information on it. Also, I have all survival info on mine so I know how to do first aid, farming, survival techniques, etc... Get a solar battery charger to keep everything powered. Also get topo map info and store it on there. Preferrably GPS software, too. Have hand held radios for everyone and GPS devices, too. There may be a way to shield them from EMP's, too.

My understanding is that anything on when an emp goes off will be fried and anything off will be spared. My advise would be to get an emp proof one. I am sure someone makes them. EMP proofing is entirely possible they don't do it because of the cost. I watch a special on this once. It was the discovery channel one. It was pretty interesting though I don't remember much of it.

I'm saving one of those big heavy Cinzano patio table umbrellas, but considering one of those "Sunsetter" power canopies.

For emergencies I've heard that X-PACK is a great idea. It costs something like $65. check it out here at http://www.xpackprepared.com/ It's been used by the military and during Katrina.

Can anyone recommend some sites where I can buy food to stock up on at good prices? I've looked at internet-grocer.com, are there any others with some good deals, like freeze dried foods?

Go to http://www.mountainhouse.com/ To find what you need either in 2 entree type packs or cans. Mountain House has been rated as one of the best. I have a weeks supply of this for each of my BOB's. Also check out http://www.mrefoods.com/ They sell Mountain House, too.

Yeah, that's right it's 4 meals. Now, I've considered the MRE's because they also come with other things besides your basic meal. The heaters, crackers, snacks, etc... which is quit nice. Some of the drawbacks are they are bigger, heavier and cost more. So, less room in the pack, more weight on your back and less money in the pocket. I'm thinking that I can get the cases of MRE's and throw them in the vehicle if I have to bug-out. Now, if I have to abandon the vehicle and the case of food, then I'll have the freeze-dried food in my pack to carry on with. The same would be for water and supplies. I have 5 gallon containers of water to store in the vehicle, but if I loose the vehicle and water, I still have extra water in my pack. Basically, always try to have a back-up or a fallback plan.

I will be very honest - I am VERY lost - I have like $500 worth of can foods and a water purifier, but that is IT, and I have NO idea what else to get/what to do next.
Steve Quayle recommended a web site with a 2 week survival crash course book last Oct, but I lost the link somewhere(have alot of time on my hands at work, and wanted to read one of these things).
I was looking at the survivalbound.com web site someone above posted, looked at the books, and still don't know what to read.
Is there any crash course survival book someone here can highly recommend, whether to buy or free online? What other basic essentials do I need? Is there anything I could start my car with if, let's say, we have an EMP attack? Or some kind of device I can turn on the power/water in my house temporarily?
Thanks a bunch in advance for the help!

It looks like you're just getting started, so I might suggest you find people in your area that you could meet with that could help you, personally, to get things started in the right direction. Possibly a local militia group could help. Here in Texas we have an awesome militia called the Central Texas Militia. They conduct all types of training that would be greatly beneficial to someone like yourself. Also, get your head pointed in the right direction. To be able to survive you not only need to what to survive, you need to know how to besides having all the gear to get you through. Read a book called The Survivors Club. find it on Amazon.com. It will help you understand what it takes to increase your odds of survival in a bad situation. Also check out a book called Thinking the Unthinkable. Being able to survive many situations means thinking about the unthinkable and what would you do to survive. Simple things like if you're attacked on the street, what do you do? If you're in a plane that is about to crash, what do you do to try to survive? Stuff like that. I will be very honest - I am VERY lost - I have like $500 worth of can foods and a water purifier, but that is IT, and I have NO idea what else to get/what to do next.

In my area, Vun Nuys. There's a hell lot of homeless live in street although, I don't think there's many of the yappy living around this county are not aware what's going on. Even though, No body talk s**t about the Black hoke's and chemtrails.... I hate this.
One of my cousin are former homeless and he reffed me to go Bismo beach where he back in feet up though. but I don't like camping in beach, plus it will going to be away from the town. Also, if I can't get the job really bad, I just thinking about to join military though.
So, I just wanna throw the another question. About...do I still hold my selves what ever beach or around school and park to get the darn job or Go join military that way I could use the salary for buy the food for my family member and friends?

I am already starting. Small very valuable items that can be sold in towns, seed saving of heirloom seeds, practicing herbal medicines and forage food cooking. Also I suggest saving any movies, blueprints for home solar cooker, dryers and solar panels etc, on hard copy or on paper!! The internet will have to be abandoned if not already restricted. Buying property that is as far out as possible and filling it with supplies. Alternative weapon building.. I could go on and on...

The military will just pump you full of vaccines, and basic training is just an excuse to terrorize emotionally compromised patriots

Just wondering if there are any other options to continue our digital free speech that has helped us out so much. If/when the government puts a lockdown on websites that criticize the government, are there any ways around this? It seems that since the elites own the ISPs as well, it would be very difficult to stay connected and informed with each other lie we do now.
Any thoughts on this?

Yep, pretty much. If you want to know how to deal with online censors and such, I'd say find some Chinese or Iranians. I suspect they got that stuff down in those countries.

I am thinking of the Ol head airwaves but than digitalized of cause so it can talk with your computer.
Still can phone in on each other computers but that's a very small internet.
Maybe software can be developed, or maybe it already exists which make a sort of server of all the comps who call in at some place.
But this hub has to be created somewhere and that can also be outside the U.S.A.
Can be encoded, scrambled whatever you want.
I think they are making a huge mistake if they gonna restrict the internet too much. There are too much geeks out there who will come with alternatives.
Now the secret services also have a big advantage which they will lose in the alternative methods.
In fact we really will be free than.

I had suggested on other boards that we go back to the old BBS system. One person maintains the server and the others dial in. We use to have as many as 24 people chatting live at one time and this would be completely off of the web.

I dreamed of the term 'dry shampoo' last night--and as I have longer hair---may need to try some. To make your own you can experiment with baking soda, rice starch, talc, cornstarch, fine-ground flours, dried ground herbs, [or essential oils], and clay powder [kaolin or bentonite] [You can also mix bentonite in water overnight and drink the next day to eliminate parasites. I haven't made any dry shampoo but I plan to. A side note---after photographing absolute 'citizen agents' last week---their level of torment has ratcheted-up on me. At the bank the tellers were grouped together until one of them said, 'I'll take care of it.' Not kidding. What kinds of things are 'They' telling???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcdedGuXFa0I am aware that we have to know how to survive (obviously) in the modern world and all its craziness. We also need to think of the possiblities of not having the modern world the way we see it for some reason. If we didn't have power and for some reason needed to survive in the wild ( this could happen), could you survive? Do you know about foraging in the wild? I am looking up wilderness survival videos.... Are you prepared for anything... We should be.

I have noticed that there are weird aerial things popping up all over the place in the UK. I have no clue what they are as there is no contact or other info on hem - but I think they are not phone masts - they all look alike and I saw two within 100 meters of each other. My conclusion is that they are some kind of "wifi" thing - OR - they are some kind of intel gathering thing. Anyone any ideas? UK people have a look out for these - they are every where !

A good source of survival info, gear reviews, and cool adventures where those skills and gear are put to use... http://www.youtube.com/nutnfancyHe's got very detailed videos on first aid kits, survival kits, pistols, rifles, load out gear, tents, knives and other stuff, as well as philosophy with regard to operational differences between living in a society that is functioning vs one where public services are no longer available. TNP is hours upon hours of informative video.

Patriots in the cities and towns need to get together and teach each other to survive. I am SOL because I live in the city of Satan aka Los Angeles. I don't any self sufficient patriots that are patient and willing to teach other patriots how to fight and be self sufficient. I don't what I am going to do. It depresses the hell out of me. I have no future thanks to the treasonous scum.

Your best bet might be to move north or east, and get out of the LA basin all together. Northern California has alot of nature/survival types. The Pacific Norhtwest is full of them. Check out the various off-grid, survivalists, Mother Earth-type forums out there and get connected. Who knows who you might meet and find a better place to move to. Or get real adept at city/urban survival in a crisis situation. The problem with being stuck in a city like that is the food will disappear quickly and water could become a major problem too if the municiple water system fails or is turned off. The upside is if you can desalinate water, you got a whole ocean close by and it's full of food.

go to survivalboards.com to get survival tips and find others in your area that are like minded. Also look for MAG's. Mutual Assistance Groups.

get far away from the urban environment especially monster cities
then think basics on a priority scale - access to good water, food, shelter, defense, good soil (whatever order you have the basics is up to you)
it is best to rely on like minded friends/family, real friends/family just not the ones who fence ride and talk a good talk
