Anonomous Web Access ??

Hey All > Does anyone have an experience with "anonymous vpn" via Patriotinternet.com ? I like the concept of anonymity as my paranoia increases. PATRIOTINTERNET.COM claims to be a server farm in Nashua, NH & when I click to login, I get a official looking CISCO login screen with Patriot Internet VPN Services.

So it's a gambit - true anonymity services, or is it a trap by Big Brother to treat me like a laboratory animal and study patriot behavior.....

More likely than not it is a trap.

Go to http://www.publicproxyservers.com/ . That website keeps track of hundreds of different proxy servers. You can set up your own and have it added to the list on that site.

The problem with proxy servers like these is that most of them aren't encrypted. Anyone in between you and the proxy server can see what you're doing. And, as with any proxy server, we really have no way of knowing if the person operating it is trustworthy or not.

One thing you can do is set up your own proxy for other people to use. Then use it yourself too. Now, your web surfing habits will be mixed in with that of hundreds of other users. Nobody spying on you will know if it is you, or some stranger using your proxy.
