The "cleaner" trucks don't even appear to be marked.

And the cleaners show up to remove all evidence.

Very interesting that Hollywood over the last 6 months has come out with two movies showing "evidence and body removal cleaning crews" as normal everyday businesses who are growing in popularity.

What a coincidence.  Expect many more cleaning crew and evidence manufacturing jobs over the next few years.

There are just way too many skeletons that need to be disposed of.

Quentin Tarantino was working on a script about a woman that works for one of these companies and becomes obsessed with a serial killer, whose messes she cleans up.  This was over 10 years ago.  I have no idea what happened to the project, as it obviously never saw the light of day.

O'Brien is the current mayor of Ottawa -- recently cleared of influence pedding charges...

O'Brien's lawyer to defend Williams
By MEGAN GILLIS, Courts Bureau

Last Updated: February 17 2010, 8:46pm

Lawyer to the rich and powerful Michael Edelson has been retained by accused rapist and murderer Col. Russ Williams.

Edelson himself would neither confirm nor deny the identity of his latest client, but said his involvement will be clear when Williams makes an appearance by video in a Belleville court Thursday.

“Whatever’s going to happen will become clearer,” he said Wednesday. “Right now I have no comment.”

Until he was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, Williams, 46, was the commander of nearby CFB Trenton, the biggest military base in the country.

He’s accused of killing Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, a 37-year-old military flight attendant found asphyxiated in her home in Brighton last November.

A second alleged victim, 27-year-old Jessica Lloyd who vanished late last month, was found strangled to death in Tweed. Williams reportedly led police to her body.

He’s also been charged with forcible confinement, breaking and entering and sexual assault in connection with two home invasions in Tweed last fall in which women were tied to chairs and photographed.

Representing Williams would be the latest in a string of high-profile cases for Edelson, whose clients range from the mayor of Ottawa to the ex-wife of a prime minister.

He’s currently representing Raymond Lahey, the former Bishop of Antigonish now living in an Ottawa priests’ residence while awaiting trial on charges he brought child pornography into Canada last September.

Edelson led the team of lawyers by Mayor Larry O’Brien’s side when he was acquitted last summer of two influence-peddling charges. It had been alleged he’d offered a National Parole Board appointment to Terry Kilrea to drop out of the 2006 election, which O’Brien won in a landslide.

Edelson also got insider trading charges dropped against Corel Corp. CEO Michael Cowpland and helped Margaret Trudeau beat a drunk driving rap when a judge found police violated her rights.

Court Appearance Today for Military Commander
Josh Pringle
Thursday, February 18, 2010

http://cfra.com/?cat=3&nid=71373

The Canadian military commander charged with first degree murder and sexual assault will make a court appearance via video today in Belleville.

Col. Russell Williams is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Cpl. Marie-France Comeau and Jessica Lloyd.

Williams has also been charged with two counts of forcible confinement and two counts of sexual assault in connection with two alleged attacks in Tweed last September.

Defence lawyer Michael Edelson is now representing Williams. He defended Mayor Larry O'Brien successfully last year against charges of influence peddling in connection with the 2006 mayoral race.

Col. Williams to make court appearance
Last Updated: Thursday, July 22, 2010 | 9:02 AM ET
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2010/07/22/nat-russell-williams-court.html#ixzz0uPy1yxvs

The former commander of CFB Trenton is scheduled to make another video appearance in a Belleville, Ont., courtroom on Thursday morning.

Col. Russell Williams is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of air force flight attendant Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, 37, who worked at CFB Trenton, and Jessica Lloyd, 27, of Belleville.

He is also charged with sexual assaults against two other women and faces 82 more charges related to break and enters that took place from 2007 to 2009 in Ottawa, Belleville and other areas in eastern Ontario.

Williams made a brief court appearance last month before his case was put over so that his lawyer could review disclosure.

Williams is currently being held in the Quinte Detention Centre in Napanee, near Belleville, and is scheduled to appear before a Belleville court via videolink.

Williams Pleads Guilty
Norman Jack
Monday, October 18, 2010
http://cfra.com/

As you heard first on CFRA News, Colonel Russell Williams has officially pleaded guilty to two charges of first degree murder in a Belleville courtroom.

The former commander of CFB Trenton spoke quietly as he admitted to the killings of Jessica Lloyd and Marie-France Comeau. He'll get an automatic sentence of life, with 25 years before any chance at parole.

The decorated soldier was expressionless as he entered the court shackled at the ankles and handcuffed, wearing a dark suit and grey button-down shirt. The cuffs were removed for the proceedings. He had been driven to the courtroom in an armoured vehicle.

Williams is also pleading guilty to a series of other charges, including the sexual assaults of two women in the Trenton area, and dozens of break-ins in the Trenton and Ottawa (Fallingbrook) areas.

Way more here than appears to the eye.  First he is trying to kill himself in prison, then they suddenly announce he does not want to kill himself any longer, but rather would be pleading guilty to all 88 charges against him!

This was a case of a typical compromised high level official who knew a lot of shit going on at the top of the Canadian guv and military.  He was mentally deranged and therefore given his very high position, as this was the dirt they had on him, to make him comply with whatever black-ops projects or other nefarious activity the guv/military was involved in, and keep hime quiet about it.

He was described in his final court appearance as looking like a zombie in a trance.  Classic case  of drugging up the manchurian candidate and pleading him guilty on all charges so no details risk being exposed in court.

Here's the photos of the Colonel in his finest army issue frillies:

 Pyscos on the elites leash.
The final phase of Skull and bones initiations requires the newbee bare his soul, expose his fantasy, his perversions, passions, greed, criminal tendencys, and above all the desire to enter the elite group at any cost be it the extermination of peons in trade for fortunes and power.
The costa nostra had their rituals, the Russian mob, Japanese, in short any organized crime syndicate has their rules and rites. No matter what your perversions are protected in return for your loyalty, to trun on your cohorts would result in death.
The elite Mafia is fueled by these same codes. Like minded sociopaths haven or pig heaven-, acceptance  & indiference to ones sexual perversion, criminal activity, capacity to commit genocide, to eradicate a nation to further their goal, or the basic need for the individual to do whatever is required to continue to gain his position of power and continue above the law.But Once in, no way out but feet first.
Seems to me this Col was not backgrounded or investigated to any great extent, or a whitewash was instigated. Military Intel personell are not complete fools, they may not have known of his capacity to murder, but I will bet they were well aware of his sexual hobbys and advised under no uncertain terms to shut the FK up.

I still find it interesting that he was married to a HARRIMAN. Can't find any proof of her relationship to THE HARRIMAN'S (Bush buddies, among others). It is also interesting that they both lived and worked in 2 separate places and would go weeks without seeing each other. How could a real wife not realize her husband was this sick?

Many things not right about this story and his background which included elite schooling, etc. It sure is possible that he is another ELITE BRAIN FRIED DUPE used for some ELITE purpose, doesn't it? The paper also said he was on painkillers.

Yet another DIVERSION that keeps the media busy while not reporting on how our countries are being taken over.

Don't believe me. Look it up yourself!

That $2.45-million lawsuit also names Williams' wife, Mary-Elizabeth Harriman, an executive with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. It alleges that she obtained her husband's share of their $700,000 Ottawa home after his arrest in an attempt to shield the asset from future damage claims. Harriman has denied the accusation, which has not been proven in court.

Strange how executive names and bios for the Heart & Stroke Foundation is not easily findable... will keep trying.

Looks like she's gone into hiding!

After more than three hours of brutal sexual assaults, all of which he recorded with his video camera, Comeau cried "you're going to kill me aren't you? I don't want to die. I don't deserve to die. I don't deserve to die. I have been good."

That's the same M.O. as Bernardo!

(with whom he partied)

Wow! In fact, the story is developing the same -- too -- because although Bernardo/Homolka are thought to have been involved with countless rapes (Scarborough), the media only focussed on three (French, Mahaffey & Homolka's own sister, Tammy); Williams has two high profile ones (murders) but 80 some other instances of assault, B&E, and all sorts of perverted stuff. These guys almost sound like clones. Both seemingly respectable, even though it's rare (according to the "experts") for people of their stature to do such things.

 http://www.libertythink.com/2005/06/entire-interview-with-kay-griggs.html

I've watched the whole thing. What is fascinating is that this is recorded in 1998--long before Skull and Bones and Bohemian Grove were pseudo-known about in the public mind, and here she is mentioning both offhandedly as tied in. Second, though talking in 1998, she mentions Condi Rice (then on the Board of Directors of Chevron (ex Rockefeller Standard oil of California) as in the network as well. Third, Zionists fit square into it. Fourth, watch the 4th U.S. Marines, out of New Orleans, as very important.

Is Kay safe? From her bruises and history of abuse, probabaly not. Is Kay brave. Yes. She is. Kay did this brave thing to get the word out. She is endangering her life, though in a perverse way of these things, it probably helps to save her life if you watch this and pass this around. It makes a trigger finger less itchy to know the fury that will erupt at her murder. Larger protection for Kay equals the more people that watch and share her testimony.

If you can spare the bandwidth, help find a place to put these elsewhere by way of thanks to the patriotic people at libertythink.com. They are taking it upon themselves to host this incredibly large download once more.

Kay Griggs was a Southern divorcee who rented a room to Marine Corps colonel George Griggs in the late 1980s.  She was impressed by his clipped manner, his education, his good looks.  Two months later she married him.  What she found out about world affairs as George Griggs' wife was astounding.

Colonel Griggs was a Marine Corps Chief of Staff, as well as head of NATO's Psychological Operations.  He was also, his wife realized, entirely mind-controlled.  Kay, a self-declared Christian, became privy to the real workings of the United States military, leadership training, drug-running and weapons sales, and the secret worldwide camps that train professional assassins.

These interviews with Pastor Rick Strawcutter of Adrian, Michigan were conducted in 1998, before September 11th and the installation of U.S. President George W. Bush. Kay Griggs' report of world events and the power elite paints a picture that begins to explain the hows and whys of our current global scenario.
Quotes from Kay Griggs:

"They took with them the most perverted aspects of Nazi Germany and brought them
over to the United States."

"They get rid of the good guys. The Marine Corps are the assassins for the Mob. The military is run by the Mob. The military IS the Mob."

"He told me what they did. They nurture--they cultivate--the sons of prominent families. They're called "rising stars." They rope them in. Then they "turn" them."

ON ASSASSINS:  "What my husband does for a living is train mercenaries -- young boys from countries like Romania, Dominican Republic, Haiti.  They're training them to be murderers, and the taxpayers' dollars are paying for this.  They psychologically profile them.  The profile is similar to my husband's and Lee Harvey Oswald's and [Timothy] McVeigh's, and others who were all part of this program.  Jeffrey Dahmer was part of this program.  They're all Army.  They were all picked out because they were perverted or twisted.  [The military profiles for] strong mother, weak father, no father, poor.  Because these guys are looking for security, so they will stay in the military and do anything for that security."  (Interviews, Disk 1)

"When you work in the White House, you work under the Army.  The Marines have no overlord, as such.  They can float.  They're run out of New Orleans, just like Oswald was.  Oswald was homosexually recruited by Jack Rubinstein, who was Jack Ruby.  All of the funding for these operations goes through the "joint" -- the Mob.  Oswald was a loner, brilliant -- and a perfect candidate.  His [profile] and my husband's profile almost look alike."  (Interviews, Disk 2)

ON TRUTH TELLERS:  "St. Elizabeth's Hospital, like the Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, has Army intelligence people in there.  They're targets -- people who have decided to tell the truth.  People who believe in the American dream, who are Christians, who are trying to get things straightened out.  If they transgress that line where they upset somebody in high command -- just like in Germany -- they all of a sudden move from being a person to being a target.  Therefore, the enemy. Why are good people silenced, why are their papers gone through?"  (Interviews, Disk 3)

ON THE CIA:  "This CIA thing, from my experience, is bogus.  Every person I've known who was in the CIA was in military intelligence first.  For example, my husband.  He works under the Army.  He's a Marine Corps high-level intelligence officer, but he's under all these Army people."  (Interviews, Disk 3)

ON LOYALTY:  "Now these generals in the Marine Corps and Army, according to my husband, they are ordered.  My husband, being Chief of Staff, told his men it was like this:  It's the Marine Corps first -- the Brotherhood, the Cherry Marines, the bonding that goes on.  The Marine Corps comes before God, before Jesus Christ, before the country.  My husband is not a Christian, he's an existentialist, and most of these guys are.  [Their god is] the Brotherhood.  It's very German, it has Masonic leanings.  They're all Masons.  This Brotherhood -- Opus Dei -- they're the Mob.  The Marine Corps are the hit men.  They're mercenaries.  They'll work for anybody.  They'll switch hats.  My husband said it's no big deal.  I'll go work for the State Department.

"The Marine Corps is just a smoke-and-mirrors thing.  On [my husband's] level, he said we've never been an enemy to the Soviet Union.  They work with these Communists.  The man who started this whole intelligence operation -- OSS [Office of Strategic Services] -- he was recruiting known Communists who were involved in subverting Spain.  They're not Americans.  They're not Christians.  They're German existentialists.  Now what are they doing running our nation?  They have more affinity for the State of Israel than they do our nation.  They don't care about American citizens.  The judges now in the courts are all military officers following chain-of-command orders.  They're not independent judges."  (Interviews, Disk 4)

Colonel's wife names names in
Military/homosexual/pedophile Underground

Recently, Kay Griggs, a prominent military
colonel's wife,
 http://www.sianews.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2330
set out to right a long history of patent
wrongs, which include:

- homosexual initation rites in the U.S.
military-
- particularly within the Marines;
- well-documented instances of both
- homosexual and
- hetero pedophilia, often as brazen rape,
amongst U.S. military figures and notable
senior statesmen, Henry Kissinger being
named loudly by Mrs. Griggs.

Griggs, in her videotaped interviews recently,
discovered her husband's diary and was
suitably horrified at what she read. She then
began asking questions of her friends in the
military wives club, and many of them
confessed to the same dirty little secrets.

Her candor on video is both disturbing and
compelling: the woman has come to grips with
the fact that this "culture," as she calls
it, is rife within senior U.S. military, and
that the stain of being called out as a
queer is what keeps the men quiet - to the
arms - and drugs - running that are a vital
function of Our Military.

When were the interviews held?

The interviews were held in 1998.

How did the interviews come to be?

Pastor Rick Strawcutter had a pirate radio
station which was shut down in the early
2000s. Kay Griggs had been urged by friends
to call in to his show, and did so in 1998.
Pastor Strawcutter kept her on the air for
an hour, and invited her to come to
Michigan for a longer interview. Kay felt
strongly that her experiences and stunning
knowledge of how our country is run needed
to be known, so she agreed.

How long are the interviews?

7.3 hours. The interviews were held over
the course of a weekend in 1998.

One

The DIA and special ops were predominantly
running the Contra northern front from Honduras
in the 80s. Alongside the CIA and NSC teams, a
new US military group called the ISA
(Intelligence Special Activity) was moving
hundreds of millions in drug money supposedly
through to US mob-run ports such as New Orleans
and Miami. They apparently were involved in the
Mena, Arkansas cocaine airdrops as well, with
the Barrie Seal thing. Anyway, an unknown
amount of money would be then laundered at Fort
Meade, Maryland—-HQ for the NSA (National
Security Agency).

Two

Also, the CIA secretly organized the purchase
(and theft) of military transport planes and
helicopters via their Pentagon connections.
Beyond all the CIA proprietary companies that
supplied civilian aircraft, they also got hold
of c-130 transports and helicopters destined
for museums.

Three

Next, we have military boys alongside the CIA
in Lebanon doing weird things. The Marine
grunts held the airport as a peacekeeping thing.
But according to Mrs Griggs and also the ebook,
The Last Circle, the US covert forces were
exploiting the tension between the local mafias
and militias to score a lot cheap drugs, while
selling lots of arms and hunting down key
enemies. It is said that the Lockerbie
terrorism bombing had to do with the transport
of heroin from Lebanon.

Four

Where do the military special operators come
from?

They are trained at Fort Bragg, North Carolina—-
which was headed by pro-Bush Army General Stiner,
who is mentioned by Mrs Griggs. General Stiner
and General Joy (also mentioned by Mrs Griggs)
were heavily involved in Bush's invasion of
Panama. The special operators also come from
General Al Gray's jurisdiction (another cited
name). Colonel George Griggs was his chief of
staff.

Five

Griggs evidently trained his marines, mercs,
seals, etc..from the massive Little Creek Naval
Amphibious base on the Virginia coast, near
Norfolk and Virginia Beach—-an area which
constitutes a massive military nexus of power.
It's fairly close to the Fort Bragg nexus of
power. The Virginia base is 2100 acres, the
biggest live fire zone around where operators
hone their trade.

Six

The military has grown to have enormous
jurisdiction over the Caribbean, Central
American, and South American areas. This
military jurisdiction is called SOUTHCOM. Bush
Senior and Clinton both issued very powerful
legislation to deep the military's involvement
in SOUTHCOM. Under the rubric of fighting
terrorism, drugs, and arms smuggling,
evidently SOUTHCOM is wrapped up in these
affairs.

Who commands SOUTHCOM? The very same General
Wilhelm mentioned by Mrs Griggs. It's based
out of Miami, the city Mrs Griggs said her
husband went to work in retirement.

Seven

What the hell is going on with SOUTHCOM? Well,
for starters they are sending special
operators into Colombia, a country which has
attracted the US for its drugs, oil, and
precious minerals. It's part of Plan Colombia
and the Andean Initiative set in motion by
Bush Senior and Clinton.

Eight

Proof of SOUTHCOM drugs & arms smuggling? The
case is building. In fact, just a week or two
ago, this happened and there's a much better
explanation of that here and here. Notice that
these are special operators, part of the growing
detachment of US troops in Colombia.

Nine

Which is just like when in March 5,
US soldiers were also arrested for drug
smuggling

Obliged for the visuals, Rasputin. You beat
me to it. Or 'them.'

These are real people K. Griggs is talking
about. The official bio Rasputin pasted says
that General Joy was in Beirut, Lebanon, as
she (K) explained. Other bios say that her
husband was there also with his boss, General
Gray. Of course, those facts alone are hardly
proof of any wrongdoing, but so far the basic
setting is corroborated.

To corroborate another background detail of
her story, I recently emailed a major
alternative news journalist who investigatives
this stuff. He was unfamiliar with the Griggs
stuff and warned that she may be exaggerating,
but he specifially wrote: It is somewhat well
known in DC that retired General Al Gray is
gay.

As a sidenote, Mrs Griggs claimed several
other elite marines are closet homosexuals
(probably they are really bi, like how she
describes her husband). She also describes
that some of the elite men in her area,
Norfolk and Virginia Beach, are the same way.

It just so happens that in Aug 2004, during
the height of election season, Republican
Congressmen Ed Schrock, suddenly and
inexplicably dropped from the election race
from Mrs Grigg's hometown of Virginia Beach.

A well-known gay-rights activist accused that
Schrock, an opponent of gay rights, was in
fact a closet homosexual. The activist even
had audio files of Schrock leaving messages
on a gay male dating line where members
discuss sex and what they are looking for.

Specializing in military and conservative
issues, Schrock is a former navy captain. He
founded and remains a co-chair of the House
Navy/Marine Corps Caucus and the House Special
Operations Forces Caucus. The House Special
Forces Caucus supports issues related to
Special Operations Forces, in cluding the Navy
SEALS, Army Airborne, and Air Force Special
Operations.

Wavy TV

LA Weekly article starts with Schrock and then
acknowledges Republican Congressman's Dreier's
closet situation.

It's like the bombshell, says one Norfolk
Republican.

Canadian Serial Killer Linked to Elite Satanists? (Updated)

October 21, 2010

excerpt:

Canadians will continue to be baffled until they realize that such events, including cases of missing persons and child molestation, are symptomatic of the presence of a satanic cult, the Illuminati, subverting "respectable" society. This is true of most countries.

PAUL BERNARDO

On February 12, the Ottawa Sun revealed that Russell Williams was a college pal of Paul Bernardo, who murdered and dismembered three teenage girls and raped 19 others in Toronto in the late 1980's. They both studied economics at the Scarborough campus of the University of Toronto.

The police speculated that the two may have "competed" against each other in terms of sex crimes.

What the Bernardo trial covered up and the newspaper ignored, is that Bernardo's murders were satanic in nature. They were so horrific that the trial proceedings were made secret. Bernardo and his wife Karla Homolka filmed the murders as snuff films for the entertainment of a network of elite Illuminati Satanists. This is the real reason the trial was hit with a publication ban.

Bernardo and his wife Karla Homolka filmed the murders as snuff films...

And vitally important is that one of the three (known) teenage girls was Tammy, Homolka's own baby sister. As for Williams, I highly doubt his wife was unaware of his activities.

Top Canadian military official charged with murder http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/08/AR2010020802325_pf.html
By ROB GILLIES
The Associated Press
Monday, February 8, 2010; 8:47 PM

TORONTO -- The commander of Canada's largest Air Force base, who once flew dignitaries around the country, has been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of two women Ontario Provincial Police Det. Insp. Chris Nicholas said Monday that Col. Russell Williams, 46, was also charged in the sexual assaults of two other women. Williams was arrested Sunday in Ottawa. The charges left Canada's military in a state of shock. Williams, a 23-year military veteran, was appointed as the base commander of Canadian Forces Base Trenton in Trenton, Ontario last July. Trenton is Canada's busiest Air Force base and is providing logistical support for Canada's missions in Haiti and Afghanistan as well as support for the Vancouver Winter Games. Williams is charged with the first-degree murder of Jessica Lloyd, 27, of a Belleville, Ontario, resident whose body was found earlier Monday, and Marie Comeau, a 38-year-old corporal found dead in her Brighton, Ontario, home in November. Authorities said Williams came to the attention of police during a roadside canvas on Feb. 4, six days after Lloyd was deemed missing. Williams is also charged with forcible confinement, breaking and entering and sexual assault after two women were sexually assaulted during two separate home invasions in the Tweed, Ontario area in September of 2009. "We're shocked by the connection that has been made with a leader in our Air Force," Maj. Gen. Yvan Blondin, the direct commander of Williams, said in Trenton. "It obviously is no longer possible for the commander to remain in his position." Blondin said he didn't know him personally but said Williams was an elite pilot and considered a "shining bright star."

Williams was photographed last month with Defense Minister Peter MacKay and Canada's top general during an inspection of a Canadian aircraft that was on its way to support relief efforts in Haiti. Lieutenant-General Andre Deschamps, Canada's Air Force chief, said the Air Force is fully supporting civilian police. He called it a difficult period but said the Air Force would provide support for personnel at Trenton. Dan Dugas, a spokesman for MacKay, called the charges serious but said MacKay will not comment. Police descended on Williams' Ottawa home on Sunday and police cars remained posted there Monday evening. Williams' Defense Department biography said he is married. Williams once served as a Challenger aircraft pilot who transported VIPs. The Air Force declined to say who he flew but the Challenger regularly flies cabinet ministers and the governor general, Canada's ceremonial head of sate. A spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper said he didn't believe Williams flew Harper. Between December 2005 and June 2006, Williams was the commanding officer for Camp Mirage, the secretive Canadian Forces forward logistics base that is not officially acknowledged by the government or military but has been widely reported to be near Dubai. "We are certainly tracking the movements of where this man has been over the past several years and we're continuing with our investigation," Nicholas said. Williams walked into a courthouse in Belleville, Ontario on Monday in hand and leg shackles, wearing a blue prison-issue jumpsuit. The judge imposed a publication ban on other details. He was held in custody and will appear in court by video on Feb. 18.

Here's an extremely bizarre twist on this story. Bernardo and his wife, Karla Homolka, are two of Canada's most notorious rape and killing machines...

..

It's not so surprising when one realizes that most serial-killers are (1) created for purposes of black-world statecraft, and (2) do not act alone.

Read the book Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder by David McGowan (Lincoln, Neb.: iUniverse, Inc., 2004). The book concerns high-level child prostitution, pedophile and snuff-film rings, drug networks, intergenerational occultism, ritualistic human sacrifice, and the organizations behind the phenomena of serial murder. These are intelligence operations used to compromise politicians, businessmen, academics, media personalities, etc.; used for assassination; and used to create a more totalitarian society by inducing societal fear via mayhem. It's thoroughly documented with major-media news articles and government records. The book is definitely one of the most important works ever written in terms of understanding the world we live in.

So Russel Williams was known as Russ Sovka until he left university... after his stint at the allegedly abuse-plagued Upper Canada College.

-----------------

By 1980, Russ was in Toronto, enrolled as a boarding student at Upper Canada College, a tony private boys school that caters to the city's elite. The school, founded in 1829, has produced six lieutenant-governors, seven chief justices and three premiers. Another 24 have been named Rhodes Scholars, 10 are Olympic medallists and 40 have been inducted into the Order of Canada. Modelled on the British public school, UCC regularly faced accusations of racial bias and sexism until the 1970s, when it began to recruit students from visible minorities and offer assistance to the less affluent. Beginning in 1998, allegations of sexual abuse by teachers began surfacing, including some that occurred while Russ Sovka was at the school. A number led to criminal convictions.

Accused killer's early years a mix of instability, privilege
By Don Butler, Ottawa CitizenFebruary 12, 2010

OTTAWA — If the experiences of our formative years mould our character as adults, what are we to make of the life of Col. Russell Williams? For the "bright, shining star" of the Canadian Forces, now facing devastating charges of murder and sexual assault, that life was a blend of instability and privilege, alternately exotic and mundane. It was a life of shifting identities and high achievement, one that improbably coupled a very public career with intense personal privacy. No wonder Random House has already announced the fall release of a book on his life.

Born in 1963, Williams was not yet five when his British parents left the English Midlands for a new life in one of Canada's most remarkable communities. Deep River, carved out of the eastern Ontario wilderness 180 kilometres northwest of Ottawa by the federal government in 1945, was an offshoot of Canada's entry into the nuclear age. Built to accommodate the families of scientists and technicians who worked at the nearby Chalk River Nuclear Research Laboratories, the planned town was like no other in the country. A 1958 story in Maclean's magazine by a young Peter C. Newman described Deep River as a "utopian attempt to create a happy environment where all is ordered for the best." An affluent, intellectual oasis plunked down in a rural area where most struggled to make a living, it had one of the country's highest ratios of PhDs per capita — 130 in a population of 5,000 in 1971.

Crime and unemployment were all but unknown. Local stores stocked caviar and designer-copy clothes. The Strand Theatre screened the best French, Italian, Swedish and Russian films. To overcome their boredom and isolation, residents threw themselves into planned fun. Nearly 70 clubs offered outlets for everything from glass blowing to fencing. The town's yacht, golf and curling clubs were most popular, each with hundreds of members. Though seemingly idyllic, this life was oppressive to some. It was, they felt, too perfect and regimented. "The children are growing up in an artificial atmosphere — and it isn't only the children," one resident told Newman. Some say Deep River was a repressed society, with sharp class divisions imported by its many British residents. Marital stress was common. Williams landed in this insular community when his father took a job as a metallurgist in Chalk River. With his mother and younger brother, Harvey, they lived in a duplex purchased in March 1968. David Ross, 55, who grew up in Deep River, remembers Williams' father — his first name was Cedric, but he went by his second name, David — as a very proper, handsome man who resembled Robert Redford. His wife, Christine, a physiotherapist, was tall with a good figure and long dark hair — "the best-looking woman in Deep River," according to Robert Hosbons, a metallurgist who moved to the town from Britain in 1967. They settled into their new home, joining the Deep River Yacht & Tennis Club, where David raced sailboats and his wife played tennis. It's unclear what role, if any, the atmosphere of Deep River played, but it didn't take long for the Williams' marriage to collapse. The couple split in May 1970, and Christine transferred ownership of the family home to her husband. David Williams stayed on in Deep River for another 10 months. But his wife and her two sons moved to Scarborough, Ont., where she married an eminent nuclear scientist, Jerry Sovka. One of three sons of Czech immigrants, Sovka grew up on farms in Alberta, but spurned agriculture and the lure of oil for the emerging science of nuclear technology. Sovka accepted a scholarship from the University of Birmingham in England, where it's believed he first met Christine Williams. Afterward, he returned to take a job with Atomic Energy Canada Ltd., and helped design early Candu nuclear plants. With divorce and remarriage came new identities. His mother began to be known by her second name, Nonie, and Williams adopted his stepfather's surname. Henceforth, he would be known as Russ Sovka. The family settled into a house near the Scarborough Bluffs, overlooking Lake Ontario. For Russ Sovka, it was a period of relative stability. He delivered the Globe and Mail and learned to play the piano, and later the trumpet. Music, especially jazz, was a passion, and he excelled at it. In his first year at Birchmount Park Collegiate in Scarborough, he played trumpet in the junior, intermediate and senior bands. A yearbook picture from 1978 shows a handsome youth with longish hair swept left-to-right across his forehead. By the late 1970s, Jerry Sovka was on the move again, this time to South Korea, where he spent four years overseeing the construction of a Candu reactor. If Russ accompanied the family to South Korea, he didn't stay for long. By all accounts, Russ Sovka did well at UCC. He's remembered as a hard-working, diligent student, though not one with a particularly high profile. In his final year, he was elected a prefect in his boarding house, Wedd's. Music remained his greatest passion, and he played trumpet in the school band. His graduation message in the 1982 UCC yearbook quoted Louis Armstrong: "If you have to ask what jazz is, you'll never know." After high school, young Sovka studied politics and economics at the University of Toronto's Scarborough campus. He also took flying lessons at Buttonville Airport, north of the city. After graduating from university in 1987, Sovka reverted to his birth name of Williams and enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces. It was perhaps a surprising choice for a university graduate whose parents were both professionals. But Williams was a natural flyer; so accomplished, in fact, that after earning his wings in 1990, his first job was instructing pilots in CT-134 Beech Musketeer aircraft at the Forces' flying school in Portage la Prairie, Man. It was there that he met and married his wife, Mary Elizabeth Harriman, in 1991. Harriman is now the respected associate director of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. In the Armed Forces, Williams' career trajectory was relentlessly upward. In the 1990s, there were postings to 434 Combat Squadron in Shearwater, N.S., and 412 Transport Squadron in Ottawa, where passengers on his CC144 Challenger jet included the prime minister and governor general. He and his wife bought a house in the community of Orleans, near Ottawa, where they lived for about 15 years before moving to a house in the capital city's central Westboro area last December. Neighbours in Orleans share the general astonishment at Williams' arrest. He and his wife were "an absolutely fantastic and wonderful couple," said Shirley Fraser, who met them when they first moved to the area. "I would suspect the Pope before I would suspect Russ," declared George White, another neighbour. By 1999, Williams had been promoted to major and spent four years in the offices of the Director General Military Careers, where he served as the multi-engine pilot career manager. Life, it seemed, was good. But life can be fickle, as well. In 2001, his mother divorced her second husband, sparking a rift in the family that continues to fester. Williams' brother, Harvey, now a doctor in Bowmanville, Ont., said the divorce led Williams to cut ties with his mother and brother. The two reached out a couple of years ago, hoping to repair the family rift, but have had only minimal contact with Williams since. In 2003, Williams spent a year in Kingston, earning a master of defence studies from the Royal Military College. His 55-page master's thesis supported pre-emptive war in Iraq, arguing that it can be "an effective tool for building lasting world peace." By then, he had clearly been selected for rapid advancement. "He was what we call a streamer," said a ranking military officer who didn't want to be named. "He was getting groomed, fast-tracked." After spending a year at Royal Military College, Williams was promoted to lieutenant-colonel and appointed commanding officer of 437 Transport Squadron in Trenton. In 2005, he served six months as commanding officer, theatre support element, at Camp Mirage, a secretive Canadian Forces base in the desert south of Dubai. The logistics base, whose very existence the Canadian Forces won't confirm, supports Canadian Forces operations in Afghanistan. Around this time, Williams and his wife bought a second home, a bungalow on the shores of Lake Stuco near Tweed, Ont., a sleepy community about 40 kilometres north of Belleville. The two sexual assaults that Williams is charged with occurred last fall in houses on the same lake. In both cases, the attacker broke into the houses in the dead of night, blindfolded and tied his victims naked to chairs, then assaulted and photographed them. Meanwhile, Williams' career continued to advance. After three years at the directorate of air requirements, he spent the early months of last year learning French at the Canadian Forces language school in Gatineau, Que. — a sure sign of someone ticketed for a position in the most senior ranks. That assessment was confirmed when, in July 2009, Williams was appointed commander of 8 Wing at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Canada's largest airbase with 3,500 military and civilian staff. He had risen so far and so fast because he was an impressive soldier, dedicated, hard-working and intelligent. Yet he did so while revealing surprisingly little of himself. "A hard guy to get to know," Quinte West Mayor John Williams told the National Post. The mayor met weekly with Williams after his appointment at CFB Trenton. "He was very much reserved. He just wasn't a person you would feel warm about." Police say that after his arrest on Sunday, Williams told them where they could find incriminating evidence in his Ottawa home. On Monday, he led police to the body of Jessica Lloyd, one of two women he's accused of killing.

Deep River Revisited
http://www.sttranslation.com/deep-river/deep-river-revisited/

When Doug Breckon was fresh out of engineering school in Toronto in 1946, he caught wind of a job opportunity at a mysterious, fledgling plant somewhere on the upper reaches of the Ottawa River. He traveled to Montreal for a job interview, and even after he was hired he was not told what kind of a plant he would be working in. "Or anything much about anything," he says. "It was all extremely secretive. The only reason I took the job was that a house was provided with it; I was on the verge of getting married."

When Doug and his wife Marion reached the job locale that October, they were introduced to the newly created town of Deep River, Ont., where they would be living, 210 kilometres northwest of Ottawa. Doug would be working at Chalk River, 11 kilometres downstream. At the time, both places were patrolled by armed guards, and entry to Deep River could be gained only through a military checkpoint off Highway 17. Movement between town and plant was accomplished in converted tractor trailers initially, and then in former air force buses.

If the young engineer was surprised at the nature of his new employment, he does not admit to it today. In fact, he gives the impression that it was all just a job, a way of making ends meet. Without knowing it, however, he had signed on as part of the most daring and controversial science experiment in history -- the splitting of the atom.

Security at the Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories has loosened up considerably since the late 1940's, and the soldiers and guardhouse are long gone from the town of Deep River. Today, in fact, Deep River's nuclear connection is more a thing of pride than of secrecy. The names of the town's public buildings -- Mackenzie High School, the W. B. Lewis Library, Keys and Cockcroft elementary schools -- read like a who's who of Canada's early nuclear establishment. The town swim club is called the Candus; the square dance ensemble, the Nuclear Spinners. Blimke's Laurentian View dairy sells an "Atomic Special" sundae, and whereas many communities have an Oddfellow's Hall oir a Masonic Temple, Deep River has an Atomic Lodge. A stylized atom appears not only on the town and high-school crests, but as a gleaming sculpture within view of where the guardhouse once stood. Local annals record that there was once a band called Phil Rowe and his Atomic Five and a men's basketball team called the Neutrons. Deep River street names include Newton, Faraday and Rutherford.

For the visitor, it all creates the sense of a kind of continuous atomic festival. If there are nuclear opponents in this community of 5,000, they're keeping very quiet about it.

"Actually," says Hal Tracey, public affairs officer at the nuclear laboratories, "we did have an anti-nuclear demonstration here five or six years ago." The protest took place in the town shopping area, and Tracey is quick to point out that the agitators were not "Deep River people" but "five or six" antagonists from nearby Killaloe. "Nobody paid any attention to them," he says.

This is not to say that Deep River is generally insensitive about its nuclear role and image. In an era when even the word 'atomic' can induce visions of deformed humanity, when world wide demonstrations draw millions of anti-nuclear protestors, the town can't afford to be smug or self-satisfied. In fact, wounded by severe government cutbacks to the nuclear industry in 1985, Deep River has been forced to work hard just to maintain its morale, not to mention its solvency and its hopes for the future. As one resident joked, "We've always been able to take atoms apart in this town -- the trick now is to see if we can put them back together."

* * *

The nuclear laboratories at Chalk River and the town of Deep River were created in 1944 as a result of Winston Churchill's decision that Canada should be the site of the Commonwealth's contribution to the U.S. Manhattan Project, which produced the atomic bomb. By the time the war ended, however, the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had convinced the Canadian nuclear industry that its only justifiable goal was the peaceful application of atomic power. Foes of the industry have sometimes claimed that Chalk River produced plutonium for the atomic bombs dropped on Japan, but the truth is that there was no nuclear activity in Chalk River until after the war.

But there was certainly activity. Research scientists poured in from the corners of the globe -- and, with them, a battalion of engineers, technicians and service people. The town of Deep River, built to house the plant's professional staff -- professional staff only, thank you -- rapidly became one of Canada's most remarkable communities. It was young, it was cocky, and it was smart -- oh, it was smart. Almost the entire working population was university educated, many prodigiously so. During the mid-1950's, with the town's population at just over 4,000, there were some 200 residents with PhDs. They were the avant garde of science, the Right Stuff if you will, as yet unmarked by the anti-nuclear crusades that would eventually erode the status of the industry.

"In many ways 'heroes' is not too big a word for those early scientists," says Deep River's mayor, Lyall Smith. "What they were doing was incredibly creative and risky. They did some things that would shock us today -- they just didn't have the sophisticated equipment for measurement and safety. They had to use their imaginations and to improvise."

Doug Breckon remembers the night in July 1947 when the NRX reactor went critical. (To go 'critical' is the industry term for going into service -- or, more technically, for being able to sustain a nuclear chain reaction.) "We sat there at six in the morning, waiting for the first neutrons to show up on the charts; and, to tell the truth, it wouldn't have surprised any of us if it hadn't worked."

But it did work. The atom -- once thought to be indivisible -- had been split by a nuclear reactor for only the third or fourth time in history.

Sometimes Deep River was too smart for its own good. Marion Breckon recalls her young son Mark coming home one day in the early 1950's and asking, "What's a PhD, Mom?"

"He'd been playing with some neighbourhood kids," Mrs. Breckon remembers, "and a woman came up to him and said, 'Is your father a PhD?' Mark said he didn't think so, and the woman said, 'Well, be off with you then. My children only play with the children of PhDs.'"

In spite of the occasional outcrop of snobbishness, there was also something impressively egalitarian about Deep River. Until 1955, there was no private ownership in the town; the government built the houses, rented them out and maintained them -- all according to a rigorous code: white paint for the bedrooms, off-white for bathrooms, etc. When schools and churches and shopping facilities were needed, the government provided them grants. Everyone worked according to the same salary scale, and there was no unemployment, no property tax, no poverty. In the earliest days, no one had to lift a finger to acquire necessities such as furnace fuel or, for those with iceboxes, ice. A phone call to the town office would produce a load of coal or a block of ice within hours. If transportation to the train station was needed (there was only a handful of cars in Deep River in the years following the war), the town manager dispatched a station wagon for the purpose. Every Thursday, a bus took the wives of plant employees to Pembroke for shopping. A truck followed the bus, carrying the baby carriages that would be needed by the young mothers during the excursion. With the average age of the adult population hovering just above 30 during the late 1940s and early '50s, Deep River had the highest birthrate of any community in Canada.

To compensate for the town's isolation, the government showered it with recreational facilities: yacht club, bowling alley, movie theatre, golf course, playgrounds, tennis courts, curling club, ski runs, arena, funding for the arts -- and for practically anything else the town wanted. Although Deep River became independent of Big Brother in 1959, and although the government has gradually divested itself of its holdings in the town (the last of the government-owned houses went on sale to residents in 1984), the recreational "good life" has never abated. "I've always thought of Deep River as the little town that has just about everything," says Lorna Evans, assistant to the general manager at the nuclear laboratories. "Well, it doesn't have fancy restaurants -- it's not big city life. But in its own way it's very complete. Certainly the cultural life, the drama and music and so on, is on a par with that of a much bigger centre. There's so much talent and energy here."

Deep River is undoubtedly the smallest town in the country to support a symphony orchestra. Hal Tracey plays cello in the 30-piece orchestra and says that he has a far better opportunity to play his music in Deep River than he would in, say, Toronto, "where it's all pro and semi-pro".

At last count, there were 76 clubs or organizations in town. "Plus we have the advantages of a wonderful outdoor life," says Lorna Evans.

Indeed. Of all the town's features and amenities, the greatest has always been its physical beauty, which ahs newcomers fumbling for adjectives equal to the scenery. Built on the site of an ancient Algonquin campground, the town spills down from a ridge of land along Highway 17 to the tawny sands of the Ottawa River. From almost any prospect, the horizon is a deep green band of white pine and spruce. Across the river, the Canadian Shield casts its ancient reflection on the water. "Before they built Deep River, they considered another site by a lake near Chalk River," says Hal Tracey. "But Sir John Cockcroft (the English physicist who headed the infant atomic project) wanted to be by the Ottawa River."

The town takes its name from the French term, 'la rivire creuse' or "deep river", which, for the voyageurs, designated the deep-flowing stretch of the Ottawa between the Des-Joachims rapids near present-day Rolphton, Ont., and Ile des Allumettes, Que., 32 kilometres downstream.

When land clearing began at Deep River, it was with the help of German prisoners of war brought in for the purpose. The PoWs lived in dorm-like buildings, one of which still stands and houses the Deep River cub and scout packs.

The plant site itself was chosen with a number of factors in mind. It had to be isolated, both for secrecy and for safety in the event of an explosion or radioactive leak. It had to have plenty of electric power and an ample supply of cooling water for the reactors. Proximity to the Armed Forces base 20 kilometres east at Petawawa was considered a security advantage.

Although the surrounding communities have never been threatened by atomic activity, the plant has been the scene of two serious nuclear accidents. The first, in 1952, involved the plant's first major reactor, NRX (National Research Experimental), and resulted in radioactive cooling water flooding the basement of the reactor building to a depth of one metre. "The entire building was contaminated," says Doug Breckon. American nuclear scientists advised that the site be buried and abandoned, which might have meant the end of Deep River. But for cost reasons the Chalk River authorities decided to clean up, and hundreds of plant employees worked around the clock, in 30-second shifts, to mop up the contamination. (An American Armed Forces team which assisted with the clean-up included a young naval officer named Jimmy Carter from Plains, Ga.) The 4.5 million litres of water in the basement were pumped a half-kilometre to a disposal area on an isolated stretch of the plant's 4,000-hectare (10,000-acre) site; the area has been closely monitored ever since.

On May 24, 1958, a uranium fuel rod broke and fell while being extracted from the plant's second major reactor, NRU (National Research Universal). The uranium caught fire, and the spread of radioactivity resulted in a lengthy reactor shutdown. No life was lost during either accident.

With minor exceptions, the plant today looks much as it did in the 1950's -- a loose aggregation of brick- and asbestos-0covered buildings, perhaps 40 in all, nestled by the river and surrounded on three sides by dense forest. The four operating reactors are used for research only; none produces electrical power. Reactor attendants go about their business in white coveralls, red underwear and yellow safety shoes with steel-capped toes the size of tennis balls. According to guide Diane Cox, the red underwear reminds employees not to leave the plant without putting them, along with the rest of their potentially contaminated work clothes, in the plant laundry. If and when laundry becomes radioactive to the point where it cannot be redeemed -- even micro-doses of radiation are taken very seriously -- it is placed in an isolated disposal dump.

“A New Kind of Monster”
The Secret Life and Chilling Crimes of Colonel Russell Williams

Written by Timothy Appleby

About this Book

Ripped from the headlines, the horrific and astonishing true story of the double life of Russell Williams, who was at once a respected figure in the Canadian military and a ruthless sado-sexual serial criminal and murderer.

In the annals of psycho-killers, Colonel Russell Williams may well be unique. A decorated air force colonel, Williams was, for years, living a double life as a sado-sexual home invader, burglar, pedophile and, ultimately, murderer. A model officer and elite pilot, he was trusted with flying international dignitaries including Queen Elizabeth, as well as commanding Canada's most important military airbase. Yet his dark and violent secret life included breaking into 82 homes of girls and women; thefts of vast amounts of lingerie (which he dressed in); two bizarre sexual assaults that left an uncomprehending Ontario village on a knife's-edge; and eventually, two rape-murders. When police raided Williams's home - a home he shared with his wife, a respected professional in her own right who was apparently completely unaware of her husband's unconscionable double life - they found hundreds of pairs of women's underwear, meticulously organized and catalogued. In this book, veteran Globe and Mail crime reporter Tim Appleby chronicles a true story that could have been lifted from the darkest pages of pulp fiction, one that offers fascinating - and troubling - insights on human psychopathology.

Russell Williams' attempt to conceal the fact he possessed child pornography gives valuable insight into the internal workings of the rapist and murderer, says the author of a new book about the former base commander.

Author Timothy Appleby revealed in his book "A New Kind of Monster," that Williams struck a deal with prosecutors during pre-trial negotiations.

He was willing to plead guilty to charges of murder, rape and a host of home invasions, but only if prosecutors withdrew child porn charges.

Interesting twist in this story. Williams' wife asked to have the divorce proceedings done in secret (why, Harriman, why?), but a judge has denied the request.

An Ottawa judge has ruled that the wife of convicted sex killer Russell Williams cannot have a secret divorce, finding the disgraced former colonel's financial dealings with her after he was charged with killing two women are in the public interest. In rejecting Williams's wife's request for a sweeping sealing order, Ontario Superior Court Justice Jennifer Mackinnon found there was a public interest in knowing about Williams's transfer of assets, particularly as it relates to his military pension, which "brings this issue outside the scope of an essentially private matter."

------------

Her lawyers argued that she needed to make a final, clean break from Williams and the sealing order was necessary to protect her fragile mental and emotional health from the intense media scrutiny the divorce was likely to bring.

------------

In her decision, Mackinnon found that four trips that Williams's wife had made to see her husband in prison since his conviction in October, including one as recent as last month, does not demonstrate that she is not seeking a final break from him, but is more reflective of the fact they had been attached to each other for 19 years of marriage.

Earlier this week the lamestream media said they weren't allowed to even reveal her name, which is laughable since it was known a year ago -- still haven't found any connections to the bigger Harriman family.

After high school, young Sovka (Williams' alias) studied politics and economics at the University of Toronto's Scarborough campus. He also took flying lessons at Buttonville Airport, north of the city. After graduating from university in 1987, Sovka reverted to his birth name of Williams and enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces. It was perhaps a surprising choice for a university graduate whose parents were both professionals. Of course, for those of you following this story, Col. Russel Williams was a good teenage friend of Paul Bernardo, one of Canada's most notorious serial killers of teenage girls.  We also know that Col. Williams was also the pilot of choice to whisk around top Canadian government officials in the Conservative (Tory) government of Stephen Harper.

I saw this today in the Toronto Sun.  I wonder how this fits into the puzzle?

Bernardo admirer tricked Tories

In one of the more bizarre twists during the run-up to the federal election, a former Paul Bernardo admirer and dangerous offender has been booted from the campaign team of a Toronto Conservative candidate.

Michelle Erstikaitis, 31, told the Sun Monday night she dyed her hair and used a fake name to join the campaign team of Kevin Moore (Toronto-Centre) as an envelope stuffer last week.

Just weeks earlier, Erstikaitis had been released from Vanier prison for women in Milton, where she was awaiting sentencing for a plethora of charges, including the stabbing of her boyfriend in 2009.

At her April 7 sentencing, Erstikaitis -- who was convicted of assault with a weapon -- was given credit for time served and released to a halfway house, but also declared a dangerous offender.

David Gentili, a spokesman for Moore, confirmed Erstikaitis joined the campaign last week as a volunteer under the name Elle Lisson and was fired early Monday after campaign officials received a "heads up" from a member of the Conservative Party of her true identity.

"We had a volunteer come in to the campaign last week to help with the mailing," said Gentili. "She went under a fake name, so we were unaware of her past ... so that's why we've asked her to (quit)."

Gentili would not say who tipped campaign officials off that Erstikaitis was once a self-professed admirer of Paul Bernardo and even stalked the convicted schoolgirl killer.

Man, maybe there is an organized network.

----------

I was rereading this thread and this jumped out at me:

Built to accommodate the families of scientists and technicians who worked at the nearby Chalk River Nuclear Research Laboratories, the planned town was like no other in the country. A 1958 story in Maclean's magazine by a young Peter C. Newman described Deep River as a "utopian attempt to create a happy environment where all is ordered for the best." An affluent, intellectual oasis plunked down in a rural area where most struggled to make a living, it had one of the country's highest ratios of PhDs per capita — 130 in a population of 5,000 in 1971.

This is also the area of the reactor that apparently supplies most of the world's "medical isotopes", and that area now includes Thunder Bay.

- A re-elected Conservative Government will also implement its commitment for the acquisition of a cyclotron for the production of medical isotopes at the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute. This commitment was in the March 2011 budget rejected by the NDP, the Liberals and the Bloc Québécois.

- Our Government helped establish the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute in 2007 and has continued to support it.

- This further investment in the cyclotron will help to support Thunder Bay’s knowledge economy and produce medical isotopes so critical to a number of medical procedures.
