Dramatic images of World Trade Centre explosion on 9/11 released for first time

A tsunami of smoke, dust and debris roars down the streets of New York City as the World Trade Centre towers collapse.

These dramatic images were taken by police photographers in helicopters and it is the first time they have been seen, having been released under a Freedom of Information request made by America's ABC News.

Burning buildings can be seen crumpling in on themselves as plumes of smoke rise up over the New York skyline that terrible September morning.

The images show how the police helicopter first began taking images from afar before moving in to reveal the devastation taking place underneath.

They also reveal the horror faced by those trapped in the burning buildings and then the walls of smoke and debris that enveloped the surrounding area as the towers came crashing down.

Released more than eight years after the deaths of 2,752 people on that day, they are powerful reminders of the attack that led to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The legacy of the New York attack continues today with as British forces joining with Afghan soldiers and Nato to launch the biggest attack on the Taliban - accused of harbouring Al Qaeda who organised the 9/11 attack - since the initial 2001 offensive.

Meanwhile, in New York, work is continuing to build on the rubble of what became known as Ground Zero.

Structural steel for the 1,776ft tower, which will be known as 1 World Trade Centre, has already reached 200ft above street level.

Workers are now installing 16 steel nodes on the 20th-floor of the tower which will serve as joints between the steel framing for the building's podium and the steel for the rest of the tower. The 104-storey skyscraper is due to be completed in 2013 and will be one of the tallest buildings in the U.S.

The title of this thread is misleading cointelpro disinformation, there were no "collapses" in NYC on 9/11  save in certain isolated parts of the smaller steel and concrete cored buildings struck by the flying debris from the explosive demolitions of the two main towers.

The term "collapse" is NIST disinformation, please correct it.

Indeed even if the top 10 floors had somehow broken off they would have rolled off the top and dropped as a shattered unit. The 20 or so incendiary pre-cut vertical sections were sequentially displaced by secondary explosives to act as vertical "demo hammers" upon each other

We and the firefighters all reported hearing explosives, it was "Boom, Boom, Boom all the way down!" there were no klangs.

William, i too worked one block from them. After the '93 FF, it was wierd i could not even go inside them. My friend use to drag me to the bar on the bottom floor near the trains, but i could not wait to get out. Wierd feeling. Plus, the NYT admitted in '93 that FBI knew beforehand. Moreover, the much overlooked George Washington Bridge attempt, where it was admitted that the FBI drove the truck with the explosives. The theory that they were built only to be destroyed perhaps may not be farfetched.

Kindly explain in this image of the already half so-called "collapsed" tower, how it could be that there was anything still "burning" and producing such continuing concentric multilevel plumes of white incendiary smoke within the now outer support steel-stripped EMPTY thick concrete and rebar (triple firewall segmented) stairwell and elevator "three separate-stacked concrete cores" that are still being softened and disintegrated by what could only be nothing other than internal incendiaries?

Those pictures remind me of how much hollywood 9/11 was.
An easily percieved and simplistic war. Good vs. Evil. In order to get everyone on board.
Two of the most iconic building fell. They could have let them stay up, but they needed a massive psychological scar. So they brought them down with explosives, because they knew that two planes just won't do the job. Terrorists with irrational and savage motive that makes no sense. As we at AE911truth have been constantly pointing out from day 1 this is a CATASTROPHE for the entire commercial real estate, engineering, construction, insurance and underwriting establishment, and all the educational establishments upon which they depend.

Without a completely cold impartial and detailed comprehensive scientific review and investigation of every single minute detail of all things relating to this supposedly catastrophic "merely accidental" failure of architectural engineering, the reputation and reliability of all of these sciences, technologies and the investors, guarantors and industries who depend on them are doomed.

Unlike a NTSB-type investigation, the NIST "theory" paper failed to produce any revision in standards or to determine or establish any clear deficiency nor remedial science, which therefore suggests, without one iota of proof, that the causes of such "merely subjective and entirely accidental" catastrophic and colossal "series of failures" of long-established and well-developed engineering sciences are still unknown.

Until and unless it can be proven and established that a specific deficiency or set of deficiencies in well established engineering modeling and calculus need be updated based upon a newly learned scientific insight into previously unknown or unconsidered eventualities, nobody can ever again predict if any design works.

What NIST did was like saying that the Hindenburg was a perfectly safe, reliable, sturdy, airworthy and dependable aircraft but it just "fell apart" due to "some peculiar and sad coincidences".

When Underwriters Labs attempted to replicate their "theories" the tests failed to verify them,  thus there is nothing wrong with the science (and concrete doesn't burn...)

Carlee, shock and awe only works at the moment of the event. The pictures later are used for forensic analysis (something never done by the powers that be). We neeed to educate everyone and they are forced to release this videos because they risk their entire house of cards and people have had enough of their bullshit.
