So, I have been having this argument with some people.
The argument is that no matter what the outcome is, a "conspiracy theorist" will always say as many things possible so that, that one time it turns out to be true they can say they are right.
But, to me, once it is said, you heard it, and you are on to the next "conspiracy theory" or "trying to find the truth".

There's a conspiracy to deceive people--- to make the weak feel that they're powerful, to make the enslaved feel that they're free.
In the modern age, tyrants rule with the consent of the deceived.
I'm pretty comfortable talking about that.
If someone stuck that label on me I'd go on the offensive, asking: if they know so much about me, what do they think I believe? And then I'd say, "Really, when did I say that?" when they start sticking words in my mouth. When I nail down what they think they know about me, I'd say something like, "It sounds like you're the victim of a psychological warfare campaign. A campaign to discredit people who ask difficult questions about their governments. We all know what goes on to the national news is bullshit, right? But the anchors get paid pretty well. They're getting paid to not ask difficult questions."
Again... something along those lines. You have to be familiar with neurolinguistic programming and psychological warfare. You want to leave them with questions that their TV programming isn't addressing. Unanswered questions nibble away at mind control like nothing else.
You have to come up with your own personalized psychological warfare campaign. You can't just repeat the stuff that all the truthers are using, because the psyops specialists DO monitor boards like this one, and devise campaigns specifically to counter the slogans AJ encourages us to use.

Tell them to read this about how the Media & Politicians manipulate us to think a certain way on many different subjects: (Excellent piece with examples of how they do it. Everyone should read this. If you know their tactics, you can see them in action on your nightly news, etc)Disinformation Tactics: The Methods Used To Keep You In The Darkhttp://neithercorp.us/npress/?p=251One example:
5) False Association: This works hand in hand with item #2, by invoking the stereotypes established by the “Trojan Horse Troll.”
For example: calling those against the Federal Reserve “conspiracy theorists” or “lunatics”. Deliberately associating anti-globalist movements with big foot or alien enthusiasts, because of the inherent negative connotations. Using false associations to provoke biases and dissuade people from examining the evidence objectively.

try asking them how they feel about "it", instead of telling them. otherwise peeps will think you are preaching at them. you shouldnt be "arguing" at all. try starting with something you both agree onand go from there.....like "man, airport security is so lame, why does it even have to be this way?"

Whatever you do , do not personalize the issues. Don't say the government is doing "this to me" and whatnot. Make sure you keep the info accurate and general and not specific to you exclusively.

Conspiracy theorists has been propagandized as tin hatted morons by the MSm and our present and past regimes.
Declare yourself a truther, a investigator. One who has taken the time to search for the truth. You are a patriot determined to live accordingly to our constitution and bill of rights.
Your facts are backed with evidence, not conjecture.

conspiracy theorist is being used as a pejorative label, in an effort to straw man all the varying beliefs of people who disagree with the status quo into one lump.
it is being moulded to be synonymous with extremist.
usually i retort with "i am not a conspiracy theorist, but i do believe in facts, even when they are facts of a conspiracy..."

I have come to realize the wisdom of the "pearls before swine" homily. Sometimes you just need to say your piece and move on. There's still too many people who haven't heard the message at all to waste an over abundance of time on the hardened hearted.
