I meant to post this a month ago but got busy.
Back in October there was a controvesy with the level in Modern Warfare 2 call "No Russian". It involved a simulated terror attack at a Russian AirPort. Many people got turned off to the game a decided to boycott it. After not having any idea of what I wanted for Christmas, I keep MW2 on my list after learning that you can either skip the level or go through the level and not shoot.
Well it turns out that the level has a deaper meaning to it.
Spoiler Alert.
Basically one of the characters is an army ranger that gets recruited by a 3 star General in charge of Afganistan and then is inserted into a Russia terror group via the CIA. The leader of the group knows the new guy is a CIA agent because the General told him. It turns out that General Sheperd is the mastermind of or controller of an International terrorist ring and was working on starting World War 3 with the Russians.

Here's a pic of one of the protagonist's Ghost and yourself being shot dead my Shepard and 2 of his Black OP special Forces standing by.

While playing the game you here a lot of propaganda spoken by Sheperd to make America look good. He even says that we don't kill innocent people even though he was incharge of the peeople running black op terror attacks. End the end it all makes sense and when you discover that General Sheperd is nothing more that a treasonous murder with a squad of unAmerica disloyal operators you feel better about the game.
All I could think of after I played it was that Sheperd was McChrystal/Petraeus.
This is from WikiPedia.
He commanded the
Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) for five years, serving first as Commanding General, Joint Special Operations Command, from September 2003 to February 2006, and then as Commander, Joint Special Operations Command/Commander, Joint Special Operations Command Forward, from February 2006 to August 2008. Nominally assigned to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, he spent most of his time in Afghanistan, at U.S. Central Command's forward headquarters in Qatar, and in Iraq.
Early successes included the capture by JSOC forces of Saddam Hussein in December 2003. He was promoted to lieutenant general on February 16, 2006.[3][5][8]
As head of what Newsweek termed "the most secretive force in the U.S. military," McChrystal maintained a very low profile until June 2006,
when his forces were responsible for the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.[6] After McChrystal's team successfully located Zarqawi and called in the airstrike that killed him,
McChrystal accompanied his men to the bombed-out hut to personally identify the body. Here is another account of McChrystal and him running a tortured dungeon.
This was a bit too much, even for the Pentagon. The previous commander was dumped. President Obama appointed
General Stanley McChrystal, formerly head of Task Force 6-26, a death squad that ran a brutal interrogation unit at Camp Narnia, near Baghdad. "High-value" detainees were kept in the Black Room, formerly a Saddam dungeon.
Its décor featured a darkened cell with butcher’s hooks hanging from the ceiling. Basically, McChrystal’s task force ran a secret prison and his unit was implicated in two prisoner deaths. A prosecution was initiated, but ran out of steam after a "computer glitch" had disappeared the unit’s records. An Esquire writer who visited Camp Narnia, John H. Richardson, reported it was so secret that its officers used false names and it was a place where "bad things happened", a place where Stanley McChrystal had made a "personal promise that the Red Cross would never be allowed into the camp", in violation of US treaty obligations.

I'm glad Infinity Ward did not completely sell out and strive to do a 100% Propaganda job on the players. They exposed a General running black Ops and False Flag Terror attacks who happends to be running Operations in Afganistan.
One of these men is a puppet.
The other looks like he has partaken in hellish evil actions and you can see it in his eyes.
