Attacks after Malaysian court rules Christians can worship Allah

From The Times
January 9, 2010

Richard Lloyd Parry, Asia Editor

Police at Christian church set ablaze in Kuala Lumpur

There were protests in Malaysia yesterday and four arson attacks on Christian churches, apparently provoked by a court decision to allow Christians to use the word Allah.

Police were increasing their patrols of areas around churches and Christian communities were hiring security guards, after petrol bombs were thrown at four churches in and around the capital Kuala Lumpur, partially destroying one of them.

Hours later, Muslim preachers used Friday prayers to object to a court decision that would allow use of "Allah" as the Malaysian language term for the Christian God.

“We will not allow the word Allah to be inscribed in your churches,” said one speaker at the Kampung Bahru mosque in central Kuala Lumpur. Protesters carried posters reading “Heresy arises from words wrongly used” and “Allah is only for us”.

Baghdad church siege ends with 52 dead
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/11/baghdad-church-siege-ends-52-dead/
By The Associated Press
Monday, November 1st, 2010 -- 7:30 am

Bloody siege of Baghdad church ends with at least 52 dead, mostly Christians. Iraqi security forces stormed a Baghdad church where militants had taken an entire congregation hostage for four hours, leaving at least 52 people dead, including a priest, Iraqi officials said Monday. It was not immediately clear whether the hostages died at the hands of the attackers or during the rescue late on Sunday night in an affluent neighborhood of the capital. The incident began when militants wearing suicide vests and armed with grenades attacked the Iraqi stock exchange at dusk Sunday before turning their attention to the nearby Our Lady of Deliverance church — one of Baghdad's main Catholic places of worship — taking about 120 Christians hostage. Maj. Gen. Hussein Ali Kamal, the deputy interior minister, said 52 people were killed and 67 wounded, in the bloodbath. Officials said at least one priest and 10 policemen were among the dead. Many of the wounded were women.

[...]

One Iraqi man who identified himself only as Abu Sami for security reasons, said his wife was inside the church during the attack. Although she was unharmed, he said he feared that the church siege signaled a new round of violence by militants against Iraq's Christian community. "I expect the coming attacks will be worse in the future since the government is doing nothing to protect us. We are peaceful people and never harmed any of our fellow countrymen, so we do not understand the reasons behind such evil attacks," he said. "Many Christians now believe that they do not have any hope in Iraq and the best thing to survive is to seek another country to live in," he said.
All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately

PS.
Seperation of church and state, does it truly exist.NFW.
I'm not looking to open the door for a religous debate but this issue can not be avoided.
I watched a debate last night between an IZY ambassador and a muslin Gaza spokesman, folks it was religion plain and simple, cutting through the BS rhetoric.
How many have died and been killed thoughout history being led by the holy ones, the genocide is beyond our imagination. There is an undercurrent of religous fanatasism today and throughout history.
Caines legacy is alive and well.
We humans can run around wiggling whatever reigous banner with which we have been raised, is that the answer. Had we been born and raised in Isreal we would be Jewish, Iraq we be would be Muslims, and on and on.
On last bit, I knew a scholar who on his last day on earth said very simply,DEAR GOD WAS I A GOOD MAN OR A BAD MAN. He did not ask was I a fine  and dedicated religous worshiper, he specified no religion, his words were personall, in the end does'nt it boil down to just that.
SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. Lets ask Billy Graham or Jerry Farrwell.
I hate it when I start on a rant!!!!!

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- The death toll from a hostage standoff at a Catholic church in Baghdad has risen to 58, police officials with the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Monday.
Seventy-five others were wounded in the attack by gunmen Sunday, the officials said, adding that most of the casualties were women and children. Two priests were among the dead, as well as 17 security officers and five of the gunmen.
The hours-long standoff ended Sunday after Iraqi security forces stormed the Sayidat al-Nejat church.
Eight suspects were arrested.

Syrian Christians Told Convert, Leave, or Die

Religious Freedom Coalition
Apr 26th, 2013

Christians remaining in Syria have been given three choices by the American supported Free Syrian Army (FSA): convert to Islam, flee their homeland, or die.  It is widely believed that this Islamic ideology will be enacted nationwide if President Assad is overthrown.

Many Westerners falsely assume that since the FSA opposes a dictatorship, they must be democratic, secular, and tolerant.  In reality, however, the FSA seeks to establish a totally Islamic state governed by Sharia law.

Although many have suffered as a result of the civil war, Christians are special targets of the Muslim paradigm.  Refugees describe kidnapping, rape, harassment, torture, theft, and murder as commonplace activities toward believers in areas that the FSA has taken over.

“Just being Christian is enough to be a target,” report survivors.   Nina Oshana was one of the innocent victims.  She was simply a young Christian woman riding a bus.  The FSA attacked the bus and shot and killed her.

Christian Nina Oshana, gunned down by the Free Syrian Army

U.S. Congressman Frank Wolf (R-Va.) recently traveled to the Middle East and met with Syrian refugees in an urgent attempt to bring attention to this situation and spur U.S. policymakers to action.  During his visit, Congressman Wolf confirmed the true plight of Christians like Nina: they are not victims of generalized violence, but are persecuted by brutality, discrimination, and displacement.

Masks of righteousness has been and will allways be a cover for sociopaths.
Religions have as well. REMEMBER-Bush talked with God, so he told us as he shook and struggled to hold back a belly laugh.
Bottom feeders like Jimmy Swagert, the Fays,Etc. would take a widows purse.
The James Jones following, high tech mind controll, mass suicide.
It is surreal, Muslims VS Christians & Jews/ VS Catholics, VS protestants, my Gods better than your God, kill for God syndrome.
It has never truly been about faith, it is however a Controll factor, some fanatics have allways followed the insanity.
Can we remember the Inquisition, the Holy (crusades) Wars, the Catholic VS protestant wars, the list goes on doesn't it.
Syria, Libya,  our regime was involved as was our debt/taxes/.
The overlords are fond of wars, they make $$ for their sucklings and implode their powerstructure, pat each other on the back as they gain controll of the masses and bring down the USA and set their muppets on the thrones.

The War on Christians (And It's Going To Get Much Worse Very Soon)
« Reply #15 on: March 07, 2014, 07:42:57 PM »
The global persecution of churchgoers is the unreported catastrophe of our time

Imagine if correspondents in late 1944 had reported the Battle of the Bulge, but without explaining that it was a turning point in the second world war. Or what if finance reporters had told the story of the AIG meltdown in 2008 without adding that it raised questions about derivatives and sub-prime mortgages that could augur a vast financial implosion?

Most people would say that journalists had failed to provide the proper context to understand the news. Yet that’s routinely what media outlets do when it comes to outbreaks of anti-Christian persecution around the world, which is why the global war on Christians remains the greatest story never told of the early 21st century.

In recent days, people around the world have been appalled by images of attacks on churches in Pakistan, where 85 people died when two suicide bombers rushed the Anglican All Saints Church in Peshawar, and in Kenya, where an assault on a Catholic church in Wajir left one dead and two injured.

Those atrocities are indeed appalling, but they cannot truly be understood without being seen as small pieces of a much larger narrative. Consider three points about the landscape of anti-Christian persecution today, as shocking as they are generally unknown. According to the International Society for Human Rights, a secular observatory based in Frankfurt, Germany, 80 per cent of all acts of religious discrimination in the world today are directed at Christians. Statistically speaking, that makes Christians by far the most persecuted religious body on the planet.

According to the Pew Forum, between 2006 and 2010 Christians faced some form of discrimination, either de jure or de facto, in a staggering total of 139 nations, which is almost three-quarters of all the countries on earth. According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts, an average of 100,000 Christians have been killed in what the centre calls a ‘situation of witness’ each year for the past decade. That works out to 11 Christians killed somewhere in the world every hour, seven days a week and 365 days a year, for reasons related to their faith.

In effect, the world is witnessing the rise of an entire new generation of Christian martyrs. The carnage is occurring on such a vast scale that it represents not only the most dramatic Christian story of our time, but arguably the premier human rights challenge of this era as well.

To put flesh and blood on those statistics, all one has to do is look around. In Baghdad, Islamic militants stormed the Syriac Catholic cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation on 31 October 2010, killing the two priests celebrating Mass and leaving a total of 58 people dead. Though shocking, the assault was far from unprecedented; of the 65 Christian churches in Baghdad, 40 have been bombed at least once since the beginning of the 2003 US-led invasion.

The effect of this campaign of violence and intimidation has been devastating for Christianity in the country. At the time of the first Gulf War in 1991, Iraq boasted a flourishing Christian population of at least 1.5 million. Today the high-end estimate for the number of Christians left is around 500,000, and realistically many believe it could be as low as 150,000. Most of these Iraqi Christians have gone into exile, but a staggering number have been killed.

India’s northeastern state of Orissa was the scene of the most violent anti-Christian pogrom of the early 21st century. In 2008, a series of riots ended with as many as 500 Christians killed, many hacked to death by machete-wielding Hindu radicals; thousands more were injured and at least 50,000 left homeless. Many Christians fled to hastily prepared displacement camps, where some languished for two years or more.

Inline sub2

An estimated 5,000 Christian homes, along with 350 churches and schools, were destroyed. A Catholic nun, Sister Meena Barwa, was raped during the mayhem, then marched naked and beaten. Police sympathetic to the radicals discouraged the nun from filing a report, and declined to arrest her attackers.

In Burma, members of the Chin and Karen ethnic groups, who are strongly Christian, are considered dissidents by the regime and routinely subjected to imprisonment, torture, forced labour, and murder. In October 2010, the Burmese military launched helicopter strikes in territories where the country’s Christians are concentrated.

A Burmese Air Force source told reporters that the junta had declared these areas ‘black zones’, where military personnel were authorised to attack and kill Christian targets on sight. Though there are no precise counts, thousands of Burmese Christians are believed to have been killed in the offensive.

In Nigeria, the militant Islamic movement ‘Boko Haram’ is held responsible for almost 3,000 deaths since 2009, including 800 fatalities last year alone. The movement has made a speciality out of targeting Christians and their churches, and in some cases they seem determined to drive Christians out altogether from parts of the country.

In December 2011, local Boko Haram spokesmen announced that all Christians in the northern Yobe and Borno states had three days to get out, and followed up with a spate of church bombings on 5 and 6 January 2012, which left at least 26 Christians dead, as well as two separate shooting sprees in which eight more Christians died. In the aftermath, hundreds of Christians fled the area, and many are still displaced. Over Christmas last year, at least 15 Christians are believed to have had their throats cut by Boko Haram assailants.

North Korea is widely considered the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian, where roughly a quarter of the country’s 200,000 to 400,000 Christians are believed to be living in forced labour camps for their refusal to join the national cult around founder Kim Il Sung. The anti-Christian animus is so strong that people with Christian grandparents are frozen out of the most important jobs — even though Kim Il Sung’s mother was a Presbyterian deaconess. Since the armistice in 1953 that stabilised the division of the peninsula, some 300,000 Christians in North Korea have disappeared and are presumed dead.

As these examples illustrate, anti-Christian violence is hardly limited to a ‘clash of civilisations’ between Christianity and Islam. In truth, Christians face a bewildering variety of threats, with no single enemy and no single strategy best adapted to curb the violence.

Though fellow believers in the West may have special reason for feeling concern, the reality is that no confessional convictions at all are required to justify alarm over this rising tide of anti-Christian animus.

Because the bulk of the globe’s 2.3 billion Christians today are impoverished and live in the developing world, and because they are often members of ethnic, cultural and linguistic minorities, experts regard their treatment as a reliable indicator of a society’s broader record on human rights and dignity. Just as one didn’t have to be Jewish in the 1970s to care about dissident Jews in the Soviet Union, nor black in the 1980s to be outraged by the Apartheid regime in South Africa, one doesn’t have to be Christian today to see the defence of persecuted Christians as a towering priority.

Why are the dimensions of this global war so often overlooked? Aside from the root fact that the victims are largely non-white and poor, and thus not considered ‘newsmakers’ in the classic sense, and that they tend to live and die well off the radar screen of western attention, the global war also runs up against the outdated stereotype of Christianity as the oppressor rather than the oppressed.

Say ‘religious persecution’ to most makers of cultured secular opinion, and they will think of the Crusades, the Inquisition, Bruno and Galileo, the Wars of Religion and the Salem witch trials. Today, however, we do not live on the pages of a Dan Brown potboiler, in which Christians are dispatching mad assassins to settle historical scores. Instead, they’re the ones fleeing assassins others have dispatched.

Moreover, public discussion of religious freedom issues often suffers from two sets of blinders. First, it’s generally phrased in terms of western church/state tensions, such as the recent tug-of-war between religious leaders in the United States and the Obama White House over contraception mandates as part of health care reform, or tensions in the United Kingdom over the 2010 Equality Act and its implications for church-affiliated adoption agencies vis-à-vis same-sex couples. The truth is that in the West, a threat to religious freedom means someone might get sued; in many other parts of the world, it means someone might get shot, and surely the latter is the more dramatic scenario.

Secondly, discussion is sometimes limited by an overly narrow conception of what constitutes ‘religious violence’. If a female catechist is killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, for instance, because she’s persuading young people to stay out of militias and criminal gangs, one might say that’s a tragedy but not martyrdom, because her assailants weren’t driven by hatred of the Christian faith. Yet the crucial point isn’t just what was in the mind of her killers, but what was in the heart of that catechist, who knowingly put her life on the line to serve the gospel. To make her attackers’ motives the only test, rather than her own, is to distort reality.

Whatever the motives for the silence, it’s well past time for it to end. Pope Francis recognised this in remarks during a General Audience last month.

‘When I hear that so many Christians in the world are suffering, am I indifferent, or is it as if a member of my own family is suffering?’ the Pope asked his following. ‘Am I open to that brother or that sister in my family who’s giving his or her life for Jesus Christ?’

In 2011, the Catholic Patriarch of Jerusalem, Fouad Twal, who leads a church with more than its fair share of new martyrs, phrased the same questions more plaintively during a conference in London. He bluntly asked: ‘Does anybody hear our cry? How many atrocities must we endure before somebody, somewhere, comes to our aid?’

There may be no question about the destiny of Christianity in the early 21st century more deserving of a compelling answer.

This morning I noticed some western speculation as to what ISIS had in mind for this sinister surprise which makes it obvious that from the beach wave mixed in blood as to another slaughter of Christians.

BREAKING NEWS:  More Egyptians being kidnapped
http://www.libyaherald.com/2015/02/16/breaking-news-more-egyptians-being-kidnapped/#axzz3S15lM84R
By Ajnadin Mustapha - Tripoli, 16 February 2015

There are reports that at least 35 Egyptians have been kidnapped in what appears to be a round-up at various locations in areas controlled by Ansar Al-Sharia and IS.

The Libya Herald has been told that starting this morning, in the wake of the attack on Derna by warplanes from Egypt, Egyptian nationals, many of them it seems farm workers, have been picked up by gunmen. The first reports were that seven men had been seized, but by mid-afternoon, it was being said that at least 35 had been reported missing.

… this is from liar Oliver North so take it with
a grain of salt … but it does have the ring of truth:

REPORT: Obama Refused to Assist Jordan,
Egypt With Information on ISIS Targets

Gateway Pundit, by Jim Hoft

Oliver North told Greta Van Susteren tonight that the Egyptian government asked the US for information on ISIS targets in Libya yesterday after ISIS beheaded 21 Christians. But, the Obama Administration refused the request. The Obama administration also refused to give Jordan information on ISIS targets in Syria after their pilot was burned alive in a cage.

“President El Sisi asked for American intelligence targeting intelligence before today’s strikes and didn’t get it. [Snip] The Kurds are begging for arms and ammo from the United States, not one bullet has been delivered by the United States.”

ISIS has momentum to keep expanding, General Garner warns

By Christopher SnyderPublished February 16, 2015

There is an increasing probability ISIS will begin a new offensive in Iraq to try and expand their reach within the country, warns a former top U.S. official in Iraq.

Fox News National Security Analyst KT McFarland spoke to Army Gen. Jay Garner about the coalition’s strategy against the terror group.

Who is answering the global jihad threat to Christendom?
Not the U.S. or its president

http://www.worldtribune.com/2015/02/17/answering-global-jihad-threat-christendom-not-u-s-president/

...Obama officials will not even acknowledge that the
Egyptian Copts were killed because of their Christian faith.

"

At last week’s Defeat Jihad Summit in Washington, DC, former House of Representatives Speaker Newt Gingrich’s answered this question by saying “this president is hopeless.”

Gingrich believes “we have a president who is out of touch with reality with regard to the global jihad and the entire problem of the global war with radical Islamists.” Concerning Obama’s recent request for a new AUMF to fight ISIL, Gingrich said the president “is about to send out an utterly and totally irrelevant proposal for the inadequate, constricted and absurd misuse of force on behalf of a conflict he cannot identify, an enemy he can’t define, and a total misunderstanding of the war.”

Speaker Gingrich said at the Defeat Jihad Summit that President Obama’s approach to the global jihad threat is so bad that he believes we are “a two-year damage containment project.”

They are calling for a religious uproar, sure it gruesome when ya ponder on it so were the illegal invasions and familys slaughtered, not much MSM chatter about WMD's is there, but plenty about this.

… there definitely IS the geo-political dimension to
this ISIS onslaught. I can't get my head around it,
to understand what is really going on. We know the
WAR mongering elite NWO bankster clans are having
a field day … satanic chaos is their basic 'method of
operation' … but I'm trying to consider the other
half of the equation … Islam vs Judeo/Christian,
the religious dimension. I don't think the BULK of
the ISIS devils know that they are pawns on the big
'chess board' … they are seriously in it for the glory
of martyrdom and the 72 virgins … and they won't
stop till all Christians are dead … or they are dead.

Just imagine – a global arms industry driven by YouTube videos?
We’re practically there. Washington hardly has to lift a finger,
just cue up the videos and watch them all bomb each
other back to the Ottoman Era.

…. some days I am ready to believe that ISIS/IS/ISIL/DAESH/AL-QUEDA
does not exist in the real world … that it is all smoke and mirrors. To believe
that I have to believe there are also demolished towns full of hapless crisis
actors playing the parts of headless victims and their families. I have to
believe that my eyes decieve me when I see a guy getting burned to
a crispy critter inside a metal cage … that bloody severed heads are not
REALLY bloody, severed heads but iMOVIE trickery. I have to believe that
all the slick internet productions are actually the work of pros paid for by

Libya, Egypt and ISIS: Could World War Three Start With a Video?

FEBRUARY 17, 2015

Patrick Henningsen

Quote
Is ISIS really in Libya? Well, yes and no. ISIS has become a kind of open-source brand, complete with an entire seasonal fashion line, a logo and a full range of merchandise. In fact, absolutely anyone who fancies it can simply fly the ISIS flag, or print out an A4 page and blue-tac it to the wall while filming a martyrdom video – like Amedy Coulibaly did in Paris.
In Libya, they splurged a little, and printed large decals to stick on the hoods of their Toyota pick-up trucks, and showed off their new ISIS flags with a gold fringe. It seems that ISIS/ISIL has no hierarchical structure or organization and exist in Syria and Iraq as a confederation of radical paramilitary and al Qaeda groups many of whom receive various degrees of funding and weapons from NATO allies and from the GCC oil monarchies.
There’s also a number of seasoned mercenaries and western special forces who are training rebel and ISIS fighters heading into Syria. Otherwise, terrorist brigades function much more like a gang syndicate or Sand Pirate privateers than they do a bona fide terrorist organization. So in theory, anyone can be ISIS, and ISIS can be anywhere. It looks like the pretext for the ultimate open-ended and unregulated international war.

Rev. Graham: ‘Imagine the Outcry if 21 Muslims Had Been Beheaded by Christians? … The Storm is Coming’
February 16, 2015

The Islamic State beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians over the weekend, propping the severed heads on the victims’ backs, a barbaric slaughter that led Reverend Franklin Graham to ask, “Can you imagine the outcry if 21 Muslims had been beheaded by Christians?”

“Where is the universal condemnation by Muslim leaders around the world?” he asked.

#6 “Islam has always been part of America”

#7 “we will encourage more Americans to study in Muslim communities”

#8 “These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings.”

#9 “America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”

#10 “I made clear that America is not – and never will be – at war with Islam.”

#11 “Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace.”

#12 “So I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed”

#13 “In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation and education.”

#14 “Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.”

#15 “Ramadan is a celebration of a faith known for great diversity and racial equality”

#16 “The Holy Koran tells us, ‘O mankind! We have created you male and a female; and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another.’”

#17 “I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month.”

#18 “We’ve seen those results in generations of Muslim immigrants – farmers and factory workers, helping to lay the railroads and build our cities, the Muslim innovators who helped build some of our highest skyscrapers and who helped unlock the secrets of our universe.”

#19 “That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

#20 “I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”

20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Christianity and the Bible

#1 “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”

#2 “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”

#3 “Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy?  Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination?  Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith?”

#4 “Even those who claim the Bible’s inerrancy make distinctions between Scriptural edicts, sensing that some passages – the Ten Commandments, say, or a belief in Christ’s divinity – are central to Christian faith, while others are more culturally specific and may be modified to accommodate modern life.”

#5 “The American people intuitively understand this, which is why the majority of Catholics practice birth control and some of those opposed to gay marriage nevertheless are opposed to a Constitutional amendment to ban it. Religious leadership need not accept such wisdom in counseling their flocks, but they should recognize this wisdom in their politics.”

obama-farrakhan

Over the past 5 years, Obama has never one time refuted any claims or comments made about him being the liberal savior.

#6 From Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope: “I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights on such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simply because the people they love are of the same sex—nor am I willing to accept a reading of the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.”

#7 Obama’s response when asked what his definition of sin is: “Being out of alignment with my values.”

#8 “If all it took was someone proclaiming I believe Jesus Christ and that he died for my sins, and that was all there was to it, people wouldn’t have to keep coming to church, would they.”

#9 “This is something that I’m sure I’d have serious debates with my fellow Christians about. I think that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and prostelytize. There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.”

#10 “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell.  I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity.  That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”

#11 “I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.”

#12 “I’ve said this before, and I know this raises questions in the minds of some evangelicals. I do not believe that my mother, who never formally embraced Christianity as far as I know … I do not believe she went to hell.”

#13 “Those opposed to abortion cannot simply invoke God’s will–they have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths.”

#14 On his support for civil unions for gay couples: “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount.”

#15 “You got into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

#16 “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology”

#17 “On Easter or Christmas Day, my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites.”

#18 “We have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own”

#19 “All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra— (applause) — as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer.  (Applause.)”

#20 “I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people.”

Why Obama Refuses to Call it ‘Islamic Terrorism’

Federal government has ignored Islamic threat while obsessing about domestic extremism for years
Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones
Prison Planet.com
February 18, 2015

The Obama administration’s refusal to use the term “Islamic terrorism” has provoked widespread condemnation, but it fits perfectly with the federal government’s past approach to the war on terror, which has been to elevate the importance domestic extremism over the threat posed by Islamic terror.
In planning this week’s summit on ‘combating violent extremists’ the White House “has consistently avoided naming Islamic extremism as its central focus,” reports CNN, despite two deadly attacks carried out in the name of Islam in Paris and Copenhagen in just the last two months alone.
The New York Post’s Michael Goodwin sums up the controversy, noting that even liberal media outlets are comfortable with referring to Islamic terrorism on a routine basis.
“This is nuts. Although the Islamic State, al Qaeda, Boko Haram and the Taliban cite Islam as the basis of their death cults, Obama argues that their acts are contrary to Islam, and therefore, refuses to associate them with Islam,” writes Goodwin.
Concerns about not referring to religion in the context of terrorism were not shared by the Pope, who condemned the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians in Egypt by ISIS by remarking, “They were killed simply for the fact that they were Christians.”
In contrast, a 192-word statement from White House press secretary Josh Earnest about the killings was completely absent the words “Christian,” “Coptic,” “Islam” or “Muslim.”
A State Department spokeswoman made matters worse during a television interview on Monday night when she suggested that a better way of dealing with ISIS militants than killing them would instead be to encourage some kind of jobs program.
“We need … to go after the root causes that leads people to join these groups, whether it’s lack of opportunity for jobs, whether…” Marie Harf told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, prompting widespread ridicule.
During a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast earlier this month, Obama seemed to almost deliberately chide Christians by drawing parallels between ISIS’ recent brutality and the 800-year-old crusades, insisting that people get off their “high horse” and recognize the “terrible deeds” Christianity had wrought in the name of religion. It hardly seemed appropriate just days after a brutal video emerged of ISIS burning Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh to death.
However, none of this behavior should really surprise us given the federal government’s past fascination with domestic extremism, which served to diminish attention paid to the far more deadly threat of Islamic terrorism.
The FBI’s most recent national terror threat assessment list completely omits Islamic terrorists, instead focusing on sovereign citizens and the militia movement.
The University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) also said that sovereign citizens were the “top concern of law enforcement.”
In 2012 that same department released a study which characterized Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists. The study, which was funded by the DHS to the tune of $12 million dollars, largely omits Islamic extremism and instead focuses on Americans who hold beliefs shared by the vast majority of conservatives and libertarians and puts them in the context of radical extremism.
Last August, over a year after the Boston bombing, the Department of Homeland Security also listed sovereign citizens as a more deadly potential terror threat than Islamic extremists, placing sovereign citizens number one on the list despite the fact that individuals who identify as such have only been involved in minor and sporadic attacks. Violent confrontations involving sovereign citizens also overwhelmingly target law enforcement officers, meaning the threat to the wider public is also far less than that posed by Islamic extremists.
PSA’s for the Department of Homeland Security’s See Something, Say Something program also failed to portray terrorists as Muslims on numerous occasions, preferring instead to depict the bad guys as white middle class Americans on most occasions.
Returning veterans have also been characterized by the federal government as a bigger threat than Islamic extremism.
An April 2009 DHS intelligence assessment listed returning vets as likely domestic terrorists. Just a month later, the New York Times reported on how Boy Scout Explorers were being trained by the DHS to kill “disgruntled Iraq war veterans” in terrorist drills.
The FBI has also repeatedly demonized returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan as a major domestic terrorist threat.
This pattern of obsessing over domestic extremism as a bigger threat than Islamic terror has characterized the Obama administration’s handling of the war on terror since Obama took office just over six years ago, so it’s little surprise that the White House still refuses to acknowledge Islamic extremism by name and for the threat it truly represents.

Back to the dark ages...They got our attention. What better way to turn up the heat, feed the flames .
It sickens me, these nutbag brain mucked psychopaths are not the head of the snake.
This is heinous, insanity, sacrificing innocents.....I have to ask in all sincerity what is the nature of the beast, who is feeding this force of evil, for what gains.IS The writing is on the wall.
When I consider Obama all I see is a front man, a super con Muppet fullfilling his role. The administration will stay tight lipped just long enough to get the public behind them. They don't care, whatever works without limits. Do these nutbags need to be taken out, sure they do. I would  like to see who put this group together, who kindled the fire.
Back to Benghazi as an example, lest we forget there is no way the power would allow the true role of Stevens and his crew (CIA) being exposed.  Just my opinion, remember "what difference does it make" *Hilldog.

"

Figure in ISIS mass beheading video could
have US ties, linguistic expert says

Published February 18, 2015

A linguistics expert believes the man who threatens the West in an Islamic State video purportedly showing the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians was educated in the United States.

But Erick Thomas, a professor of acoustics and dialects at North Carolina State University, says it's unclear whether the mysterious, shrouded figure in the video released on Sunday is from the U.S.

"He clearly spent a significant amount of his childhood in the United States," Thomas told Gretchen Carlson on "The Real Story" Wednesday afternoon. "Whether it was all of his childhood or not, I couldn't say that. I would say probably from the time he began his schooling, he was in the United States, but he was properly exposed to Arabic all along."

Thomas cited the man's use of a "hard G" in two instances: when he says "chopping off" and "fighting us." He also said his pronunciation of the letter "O" in "Rome" might be a clue of his upbringing as well.

"It's a good sign of influence from another language," Thomas said.

Also on Wednesday:

… a top Iraqi diplomat told world leaders that ISIS is harvesting the organs of its victims to fund it murderous operations, the latest charge of barbarity in a list that already includes mass beheadings, burning people alive, crucifying children and throwing people off of buildings.

The shocking new claim was presented by the Iraqi ambassador to the United Nations, who said bodies have turned up in mass graves bearing surgical incisions and missing organs such as kidneys. Ambassador Mohamed Alhakim leveled the charge as he asked the Security Council to investigate whether harvesting and selling the organs of those it executes. The claim followed an unconfirmed report late Tuesday that as many as 45 people captured by the Islamic State in the Anbar Province town of al-Baghdadi had been rounded up and burned alive.

"We have bodies," Alhakim told his international counterparts. "Come and examine them. It is clear they are missing certain parts."

This is On Topic.

I am an American and I am proud of it. I used to believe this country was exceptionally great but now when I look at it I see strong communistic  tendencies, a dictatorial power hungry muslim president, the destruction of our freedom, ramped backing of ISIS terrorists, and much more! Perhaps most unsettling is the fact that while these forces gather strength, most Americans seem unable to grasp the magnitude of the challenges that face us. Truth be told, many have become accustomed to the apathetic mentality; if it doesn’t affect them directly, then they ignore it. This is a huge problem that has lead to most of the issues we have in our country today.

The video you are about to see is jam packed full of things that will literally drive you to tears and likely propel you into full blown revolution mode. The things being allowed are beyond comprehension and we can no  longer sit back and allow this tyranny and ISIS to continue, we must wake-up, take a stand, and make our voices heard….

Bloodthirsty takes in a big area. It's obvious these loons are Pyschos on the pad or finatics.
For some reason a USA Admiral comes to mind , before the invasion and grid bombing of Iraq he was quoted as saying, "NOT ON MY WATCH"
I admire men in the military who take odds against the rats........If I remember correctly one big dog said, any pilot who obeyed these orders to bomb civilan locals should be considered unlawfull acts & contrary to all this nation stands and military's* honor. They remain lackeys for the stooges on high.
H.Kiss  stated," the military are nothing but apes in a uniform"...Go figure.
PS.. Nice post from Lisa.++++++
