I remember when I lived in New Orleans, she came by to speak at one of the universities in 2002 - one of her topics was over the Carlyle Group.

If I remember correctly back then, she was painted and smeared as someone who was nothing more than a liberal partisan hack, which was why I had no interest in her then.

However - throughout her career, she's been equally critical of even the DEMOCRATS, FWIW(but RARELY do you hear that get mentioned!).

I mean our current state of the USA is really sorry - if you just MERELY criticize Reagan, or even Bush Jr, you're almost forever tainted as a baby-killing, America hating, liberal communist traitor, no ifs ands or buts. Okay...I would take a liberal any day over a FAKE conservative who follows their party blindly.

Overall - this nation has gone sourly PC - the second 'conspiracy theory', 'liberal', 'anti-Semetic'(believe me, on another MB I used to frequent, an important discussion over the wickedness of the Federal Reserve got derailed b/c someone started barking 'anti-Jewish propaganda' in response to all the criticisms), et al terms pop up, then important discussions end up getting DE-railed.
