Wonders why TV writers could accurately predict the attack while the government couldn't

Cast and crew of the X-Files attended "WonderCon 2008" in San Diego this weekend to discuss the upcoming X-Files movie. During the question and answer, one intrepid audience member asked Chris Carter, creator of X-Files and The Lone Gunmen, about the pilot episode of The Lone Gunmen, which eerily predicted the events of 9/11 that took place in New York mere months after the episode aired on tv. Carter, looking slightly flustered, turned the question over to the Lone Gunmen producer, Frank Spotnitz.

I think that the reason Chris Carter was flustered is out of concern. He was probably threatened with 'if you're going to pursue this, if you go any further with questioning the official version, watch out'.  So, his family, friends, well-being were his concerns, therefore knowing that he wants the truth to come out, but can't speak about it himself, wanted his fellow worker to be able to answer the question. Look how it only lasted for one season.

If Spotnitz speaks, at least it wasn't Carter himself, therefore, concerns are allayed.

One final thing, the fact that the episode was so 'spot on' with many of the actual events of that day tells us that there had to be someone that had given Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz the scenario knowing that it was about to happen and tried to prevent it. They tried to do what they could by producing and then airing it but to no avail. Kind of makes me wonder who was the person(s) that gave them this information and were they taken out as a hurdle to the inside job so that the plan could still go forth? I guess we won't know unless Chris Carter was to speak up and reveal all that he knows.

Either way, this was a series that should have gone beyond 1 season but I believe that 'Hollywood Insiders' punished him for revealing their plans.

My opinion, anyway.

Nice article, Corbett.  Very interesting, I have always wanted to hear someone ask them about that.  This is a good article to send around, because it has TV characters and links to facts...and a list of prominent people who don't buy the official story.

WASHINGTON, At around 9 PM on September 29, Fairfax County, Virginia police responded to a 911 call describing an accident. However, they soon discovered they were not dealing with a routine emergency but the mysterious death of an employee of the 47-year old brother of President George W. Bush, venture capitalist Marvin Bush.

Sixty-two year old Bertha Champagne, described as a long time "baby sitter" for Marvin and Margaret Bush's two children, son Walker, 13, and daughter Marshall, 17, was found crushed to death by her own vehicle in a driveway in front of the Bush family home in the Alexandria section of Fairfax County. Champagne reportedly lived at the Bush family home.

Champagne had left the residence to retrieve something from her car, which police say had somehow been left in gear. According to the police report, the car rolled forward and pinned the woman between it and a small building next to the driveway (possibly a checkpoint built by the Secret Service when Marvin's father, George H. W. Bush, was president).

The car crossed Edgehill Drive, a small street in front of the Bush compound. The vehicle then crossed a busy two-lane street, Fort Hunt Road, finally coming to rest in a wooded area across the street that adjoins the prestigious Belle Haven Country Club. No explanations have been offered as to why the vehicle did not move until Champagne was in a position to be crushed.

Champagne was pronounced dead on arrival at Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Courtney Young, a spokesperson for the Fairfax County police was surprised when asked about the circumstances surrounding Champagne's death. She indicated the media was primarily focused on another Fairfax County story, the kidnapping and holdup of the wife of New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg on October 7. More mystifying is the fact that the Washington Post waited almost an entire week to publish the story about the baby sitter's death.

The incident occurred on September 29, but the Post did not report it until October 5 and buried it on page 3 of the Metro section. Nevertheless, the Washington Post was the only media outlet to cover the story at all. Young said police still did not know the exact cause of Champagne's death.

Young said the police had posted the incident on its web site in a press release, although the report makes no mention of Marvin Bush. It reads: A 62-year-old Alexandria area woman died after being pinned between a rolling car and a building. The crash happened on Monday, around 9 pm, near the intersection of Fort Hunt Road and Edgehill Drive. Bertha Champagne had gone outside to get something from a car in a driveway.

The car, which was left in gear, began to roll forward. Champagne was pinned between the car and a small building next to the driveway. The car continued to roll down the driveway, crossed Fort Hunt Road, and came to rest in a wooded area. Champagne was taken to Inova Mount Vernon Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The press release is dated September 30 at 1330 (1:30 PM), some sixteen and a half hours after the incident occurred. The police were well aware of Marvin Bush's controversial role in serving on corporate boards for companies associated with the 911 terrorist attacks, however, they emphasized that Champagne's death was merely a quirky accident and no foul play was involved.

...According to two articles in the Progressive Populist written by Margie Burns, from 1993 to 2000, Bush served on the board of Securacom (since renamed Stratesec). The chairman of the board of Stratesec is Wirt D. Walker III, a cousin of Marvin and George W. Bush. Securacom had contracts to provide security for Dulles International Airport (the airport from which American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon, originated) and the World Trade Center in New York.

Securacom's backers include a number of Kuwaitis through a company called KuwAm Corp (Kuwaiti-American Corp.). Stratesec also has Saudi investors.

Walker also serves as a managing director of KuwAm, which maintains offices within the Watergate complex along with Riggs Bank, on whose board Bush's uncle, Jonathan Bush, sits. Saudi Princess Haifa al Faisal, the wife of Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Bandar, used a Riggs account to funnel money to Omar al Bayoumi and Osama Basnan, two Saudi students in California associated with two of the 911 hijackers.

A babysitter for the family of Marvin Bush was found dead Monday night outside the family's Fairfax County home, and police said that she had been crushed when her car rolled into her, pinning her between the vehicle and an outbuilding on the property.

Fairfax County police said Bertha Champagne, 62, had worked for several years for Marvin Bush, President Bush's brother, and lived at the family home on Fort Hunt Road in the Alexandria section of Fairfax.

Officer Courtney Young, a police spokeswoman, said Champagne had gone outside the house about 9 p.m. Monday, reportedly to retrieve something from her car.

The vehicle had been in gear, police said, and appeared to have rolled in her direction when Champagne was in front of it.

After pinning Champagne, Young said, the car continued rolling toward Fort Hunt Road, near the intersection of Edgehill Drive.

Champagne was taken to an area hospital and declared dead that evening. Young said she did not know the cause of death.

SECRECY SURROUNDS A BUSH BROTHER'S ROLE IN 9/11 SECURITY

Washington, D.C. WASHINGTON, Jan 19, 2003 -- A company that provided security at New York City's World Trade Center, Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C., and to United Airlines between 1995 and 2001, was backed by a private Kuwaiti-American investment firm with ties to a brother of President Bush and the Bush family, according to records obtained by the American Reporter.

Two planes hijacked on Sept. 11, 2001 were United Airlines planes, and another took off from Dulles International Airport; two, of course, slammed into the World Trade Center. But the Bush Administration has never disclosed the ties of a presidential brother and the Bush family with the firm that intersected the weapons and targets on a day of national tragedy.

Marvin P. Bush, a younger brother of George W. Bush, was a principal in the company from 1993 to 2000, when most of the work on the big projects was done. But White House responses to 9/11 have not publicly disclosed the company's part in providing security to any of the named facilities, and many of the public records revealing the relationships are not public.

Nonetheless, public records reveal that the firm, formerly named Securacom, listed Bush on its board of directors and as a significant shareholder. The firm, now named Stratesec, Inc., is located in Sterling, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C., and emphasizes federal clients. Bush is no longer on the board.

Marvin Bush has not responded to repeated telephoned and emailed requests for comment on this story.

The American Stock Exchange delisted Stratesec's stock in October 2002. Securacom also had a contract to provide security at Los Alamos National Laboratories, notorious for its security breaches and physical and intellectual property thefts.

According to its present CEO, Barry McDaniel, the company had an ongoing contract to handle security at the World Trade Center "up to the day the buildings fell down." Yet instead of being investigated, the company and companies involved with it have benefited from legislation pushed by the Bush White House and rubber-stamped by Congressional Republicans. Stratesec, its backer KuwAm, and their corporate officers stand to benefit from limitations on liability and national-security protections from investigation provided in bills since 9/11.

On November 15th, Harvard Professor Don Wiley left a gathering of friends and colleagues some time after 10:30 PM. The next morning, Memphis police found his rental car stopped on a bridge, with a full tank of gas and keys still in the ignition. There was no financial or family trouble. Indeed Wiley was supposed to meet his family at the Memphis airport to continue on to an Icelandic vacation. Neither was there any history of depression or mental illness.

In the report printed in the New York Times on November 27th, the FBI's Memphis office distanced itself from the case saying that the available facts did not add up to a suspicion of foul play. I guess at the FBI it's a perfectly everyday occurrence for a Harvard Professor to stop his rental car on a bridge in the middle of the night before he is supposed to leave for Iceland and just walk away into the Tennessee dark.

The NYT report of November 27th also downplayed Professor Wiley's expertise in virology, quoting Gregory Verdine, a professor of chemical biology at Harvard, said, "If bioterrorists were to abduct Don Wiley, they'd be very disappointed," because his research was in studying the component parts of viruses, and "that doesn't really help you make a more dangerous version of the virus."

But this statement is not consistent with the facts of Professor Wiley's full range of knowledge. Wiley has, in conjunction with another Harvard Professor, Dr. Jack Strominger, won several academic prizes for their work in immunology, including a Lasker prize. Don Wiley is a Harvard professor, but he is also a researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and the National Institute of Health. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute is located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and performs biological research, sometimes jointly funded by the Department of Defense and the NIH. Don Wiley's peers at Harvard include professors such as John Collier performing research on Anthrax.

So, contrary to the dismissive tone of the New York Times report, Professor Wiley would be of great value to anyone developing biological weapons. This makes the FBI's obvious disinterest in the case highly questionable, indeed reminiscent of the FBI's obvious disinterest in the numerous witnesses in Oklahoma City who had seen Tim McVeigh in the company of additional perpetrators not to mention the witnesses who had seen additional bombs.

Especially in light of the events of 9/11, the vanishing of a scientist with Professor Wiley's expertise in virology and immunology should have been expected to be an issue of critical national importance, yet the official tone of the government was that this is nothing to worry about. Move along citizen, nothing to see.

In the context of the Anthrax letters being sent through the mail, any disappearance of any microbiologist under questionable circumstances should have set off alarm bells across the nation. but it didn't. Professor Wiley was assumed to have committed suicide, end of story.

The professor's colleagues expressed doubts about the official "suicide" explanation for his disappearance.

Then, more biologists started to die under suspicious circumstances.

The Very Mysterious Deaths of Five Microbiologists.

The body count of infections disease experts continued to climb. Connections to weapons research began to surface.

As many as 14 world-class microbiologists died between 9/11/1 and 3/2/2, and on 6/24/2 yet another microbiologist was added to the list.

Still the US Government acted as if nothing was amiss, as silent on the question of dead microbiologists as they are on the question of the Israeli spies and their connection to 9-11.

In fact, the official silence on the question of how so many top experts in infectious diseases could die in such a short time span is deafening.

Now, statistically, it's possible, even likely, that one or two of these microbiologists legitimately were killed in random accidents. But for so many to die in such a short while exceeds all reasonable bounds of statistics. Prudence would demand an investigation, not the "ho hum" attitude of the government which even today continues to issue dire warnings to the general population of how much we are all in danger from "bioterrorism".

So, let's take a moment and step away from the perpetual fear-mongering of the media (and Rumsfeld) as they assure us another attack IS coming (with a certainty which suggests inside information on the subject) and assume for a moment that some party has indeed decided to "liquidate" weapons research infectious disease experts.

There is really only one reason to kill off a bunch of scientists. To keep them from doing something they are able to do.

What were these scientists able to do? Maybe blow the whistle if an artificially created disease was about to be used in a manner those who created it did not approve of.

Regardless of the exact reason, there does seem to be a clear pattern of targeted microbiologists, and paired with it, an obvious government disinterest in the matter.

I leave it to you to figure out why.

Mysterious Deaths of Microbiologists

In November of 2001, a series of mysterious deaths of renowned microbiologists started. Sixteen died within five months, most having been murdered or killed under unusual circumstances.
On November 12, 2001, Dr. Benito Que, 52, was killed in a carjacking, later deemed a possible stroke. Que was an expert in infectious diseases and cellular biology at the Miami Medical School. 1   
On November 16, Don Wiley's body was found in the Mississippi River. 2   Wiley, 57, was one of the world's leading researchers of deadly viruses.
On November 21, Dr. Vladimir Pasechnik, 64, was killed by a stroke. He was an expert in the weaponization of germs and viruses. 3   
On November 24, three microbiologists died when a Swissair flight from Berlin to Zurich crashed. Dr. Yaakov Matzner, dean of the Hebrew University school of medicine; Amiramp Eldor, head of the hematology department at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and a world-recognized expert in blood clotting; and Avishai Berkman, director of the Tel Aviv public health department and businessman. 4   
On December 10, Dr. Robert Schwartz, 57, was stabbed and slashed with what police believe was a sword in his farmhouse in Leesburg, Virginia. Schwartz worked at Virginia's Center for Innovative Technology on DNA sequencing and pathogenic microorganisms. 5   
On December 14, Nguyen Van Set, 44, died in an airlock in his lab. His organization had just discovered a virus which can be modified to affect smallpox. 6   
In January, 2002, Ivan Glebov was killed in a bandit attack and Alexi Brushlinski was killed in Moscow. Both were world-renowned and members of the Russian Academy of Science. 7   
On February 9, Victor Korshunov, 56, was killed by a cranial injury. He was the head of the microbiology sub-faculty at the Russian State Medical University. 8   
On February 11, Ian Langford, 40, was murdered in his home. He was one of Europe's leading experts on environmental risk. 9   
On February 28, Tanya Holzmayer, 46, and Guyang Huang, 38, were killed in an alleged murder/suicide incident. Holzmayer helped create drugs that interfere with replication of the HIV virus, and Huang was a highly-regarded scholar in genetics. 10   
On March 24, David Wynn-Williams, 55, was killed while jogging. He was an astrobiologist with NASA Ames Research Center. 11   
On March 25, Steven Mostow, 63, was killed in a private plane crash. He was an expert on bioterrorism threats. 12   
Execution-Style Killings by Law Officers in the US

On December 2nd, 2001, two Vermont police officers executed an asylum seeker in a church. The resources of Vermont's Attorney General's office were employed to produce a cover-up of the killing.

On December 7, 2005, federal air marshals shot and killed Rigoberto Alpizar as he attempted to disembark from an American Airlines 757 while it was parked at the gate in Miami International Airport. Alpizar was shot to death while he was on the jetway. Marshals contend they heard Alpizar say something about a bomb. However, several passengers have stated that they never heard him say anything about a bomb. He was unarmed, and had cleared all of the security checks. 13   John McAlhany described passengers being threatened at gunpoint for merely attempting to witness the incident. I was on the phone with my brother. Somebody came down the aisle and put a shotgun to the back of my head and said put your hands on the seat in front of you. I got my cell phone karate chopped out of my hand. Then I realized it was an official. 14   


White House spokesman Scott McClellan immediately defended the marshals' action. 15

The Justice Department began a program of secret arrests and detentions of individuals in the United States after September 11th, about which details only slowly emerged. Most of the targets were non-U.S. citizens from the Middle East or South Asia, and were arrested on the pretext of visa violations. On November 5, 2001, the Department of Justice announced that it had placed 1,182 people into secret custody since September 11th. 1   The DOJ released no further information on the number of detainees and refused to disclose their identities. 2   Eventually most of the detainees were released and none were charged with terrorist acts.

On June 3, 2003, a 198-page internal Justice Department report found "significant problems" with the treatment of the detainees. It said that some FBI agents in New York City made little attempt to distinguish between undocumented immigrants who were subjects of the FBI terrorism investigation and those encountered coincidentally to the investigation. 3   

By late 2006, a total of five investigations by the Department of Justice inspector general's office had documented "wholesale abuse of the Muslim detainees" at the Brooklyn detention center, where 84 Arabic men were held after the attack. 4   One of the Brooklyn detainees, Ehab Elmaghraby, described incidents in which: ... inmates head-slammed into a wall where the staff had taped a T-shirt with an American flag printed on it. The motto on the shirt proclaimed: "These colors don't run." In time, that spot on the wall was covered with blood.

Guantanamo Bay Detainees

Hundreds of men and some minors captured during the U.S. war against the Taliban government of Afghanistan where shipped over to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and into indefinite detention and interrogation. Jamie Feliner wrote: Under the Geneva Conventions, combatants captured in an international armed conflict must be treated as prisoners of war unless and until a 'competent tribunal' determines that a specific prisoner is not entitled to that status. The U.S. government chose not to convene such tribunals for the Afghanistan war captives even though it has routinely convened them in past hostilities.

Instead, the United States decreed that no member of the Taliban's armed forces was entitled to POW status -- a decision that most independent international law experts found legally untenable. Furthermore, the United States insisted that no members of Al Qaeda deserved Geneva Conventions protection -- not even those captured while fighting for Taliban armed forces. 5   


On March 11, 2003, a federal appeals court ruled that the 650 detainees have no legal rights in the United States and may not ask courts to review their detentions. The unanimous ruling by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, consisting of judges A. Raymond Randolph, Merrick Garland, Stephen Williams, means that the detainees can be held indefinitely without access to lawyers or judges. The decision upheld a federal court ruling issued in August of 2002. 6   

It is unclear how many children are being detained at Guantanamo. The military has confirmed that at least three are 16 years or younger. William F. Schulz, executive director of Amnesty International USA, said "The detention of children in these circumstances is particularly repugnant and flouts basic principles for the protection of children under international law." 7   Suicide attempts of prisoners started being reported as early as August of 2002. 8   By June of 2003, there had been 23 suicide attempts.

In June of 2006, three of the 460 Guantanamo Bay detainees hanged themselves using nooses made from clothes and bed sheets. The three had been engaged in a hunger strike to protest their indefinite detention without charges, but had ended the strike in May of 2006 after being force-fed. In an apparent attempt to dehumanize the victims Navy Rear Admiral Harry Harris said of them: They have no regard for human life ... Neither ours nor their own. I believe this was not an act of desperation but an act of asymmetric warfare against us.


Prior to these successful suicides, there had been 41 suicide attempts by 25 detainees, according to Guantanamo officials. 9

On October 9, 2001, letters containing anthrax were sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy and Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle. 1   Both senators had been attempting to slow the passage of the USA PATRIOT Act. Just seven days before the incident, Leahy accused the Bush administration of reneging on an agreement on the bill. 2   

The anthrax used in the attack was weaponized -- milled finely that it can remain airbore and be inhaled. Weaponization of anthrax is a difficult technical feat that only the US and Russian militaries have achieved. 3   Investigators believe that the anthrax used in the attack most likely came from the US military laboratory at Fort Detrick. 4   

In the wake of the anthrax mailings, thousands of postal workers took ciprofloxacin (Cipro) on the recommendation of federal health officials. The scare induced hundreds of thousands more to buy and take the drug. Bayer corporation, which enjoyed a patent-based monopoly on Cipro, was granted an extension of its monopoly by Congress in late 2001. 5

LeeAnne Scruggs, a dental hygienist from Shreveport, La., had immediately set out on Memorial Day weekend of 2004 for Lufkin, Texas, roughly two hours to the southwest, when she learned that her boss, Dr. David M. Graham, was clinging to life in a hospital bed after being rushed by ambulance from a roadside gas station.

By the time Scruggs reached Graham’s bedside, the comatose dentist’s lungs, heart and kidneys were being sustained by a machine. Later, he would be transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

“I was upset,” she recalled. “I said, ‘Somebody tried to hurt you. Who tried to hurt you?’ He turned his head. He was in a coma for two weeks. It freaked me out.”

Later, Graham emerged from the coma and though he would never walk again, he regained full command of his mental faculties – a development his friends regard as nothing short of a miracle. Graham told Scruggs he believed the FBI poisoned him. On Sept. 17, 2006, Graham would die in a nursing home in Shreveport. He was 67.

Asked who was responsible for her boss’ poisoning, Scruggs said, “According to Dr. Graham, the FBI.”

The dentist’s son, 28-year-old David M. Graham, who is known by family and friends as Davey, said his father was treated for poisoning by ethylene glycol, an active ingredient in antifreeze. Graham spoke reluctantly to YES! Weekly.

“I know they treated it because he had all the symptoms of ethylene glycol poisoning,” Graham said of his father’s emergency medical treatment in Lufkin. “They hooked him up with a fifth of Everclear. It’s the standard treatment. He literally had a guy go out and get a fifth of Everclear, and put it on a bag. And it saved his life. If they hadn’t have done that, within an hour he would have been dead.”

Graham the son contests Scruggs’ assertion that his father held the FBI responsible for his sudden illness.

“He never strictly pointed the finger at the FBI,” Graham said. “My dad was a doctor and a scientist at heart, and he operated in logical means. He can’t point the finger at the FBI. Obviously, they are one of the people that would have had a vested interest in him not being well.”

Graham’s suspicion that he was poisoned by some element of the U.S. government stemmed from a report he’d made to a Shreveport FBI agent in November 2000 – more than three years earlier – concerning Mohammad Jamal Khan, a Pakistani businessman whose blond hair and pale skin contributed to a personal aura of mystery. The U.S. government would later identify Khan as a candidate for prosecution for crimes related to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks by the time Graham fell ill. While visiting Khan’s apartment, Graham met two men he later identified as 9-11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hazmi and Fayez Banihammad.

Graham, a dentist, amateur investigator and former radio journalist felt rebuffed by the FBI, and set about assembling a report that would grow to hundreds of pages. He covertly taped revealing conversations with Khan and another suspect to substantiate his claim that he had provided the FBI with credible information about a possible terrorist threat.

Initially, the report was compiled for the benefit of the FBI and other federal law enforcement agencies. But after hearing comments by a second Shreveport FBI agent that the dentist interpreted as threats against himself, Graham began reaching out to elected officials, including Louisiana Congressman Jim McCrery. A letter from Georgia lawmaker Saxby Chambliss, then a member of the House of Representatives, indicates that he received the report from McCrery and passed it along to Porter Goss, then chair of the House Select Intelligence Committee and later director of the CIA.

In June 2002, Graham drove to Washington, DC so he could personally deliver the report to the Joint Select Intelligence Committee, which was tasked with investigating the causes of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Just before his departure, Scruggs said the house she rented to her boss was shot into. Graham reportedly made a harrowing journey to Washington, DC, zig-zagging along Interstate 20 to avoid interception, and making the final leg of the trip accompanied by a one-time lobbyist for the Christian Coalition after a stop in Charleston, SC.

Noting the circumstances of his trip to Washington, Graham reflected, “A heretofore fearless man began to fear – his own government.”

“He slept with an AK-47,” Scruggs said, recalling the last two years before Graham fell ill. “And he had a bag packed by the door. And he had a plan; if he had to leave, he was going to leave. I was always worried that we were all going to get killed. His clinic was going to get blown up, or my house that he was living in. He had several escape plans.”

When elected officials appeared to neglect the report, Graham decided to present it to an audience of last resort: the American people. Friends say Graham was on the verge of publishing The 9-11 Graham Report when his sudden illness put the citizen-investigator’s plans on hold in May 2004.

Speculation circulated around Shreveport – some of it advanced by the local FBI office – that Graham might have tried to commit suicide. Mike Sledge, a financial planner and writer who sometimes joined Graham for breakfast at George’s Grill, took the allegation directly to Graham.

“I said, ‘You know, David, some people think you did it,’” Sledge recalled recently. “He said, ‘I know they think that, but I know medicine. I know chemicals.’ He said, ‘If I was going to do it, I wouldn’t do this to myself’ – gesturing to himself lying in bed. He said, ‘They poisoned me.’

“There are a lot of people to this day that will say, A: He did it for attention; B: It was an accident or, C: someone else did it to him but we’ll never push through that dark curtain to find out who it is,” Sledge continued. “A lot of people are just kind of scared. They don’t want to talk about it anymore.”

Not many, if any, news reports have focused on the unpublicized connections of this Bush administration's family members with politically—and financially—sensitive operations. Business Week recently noted that "dads and sons and other relatives reign so widely in this administration that there have never been so many family combos in an administration at the same time." And the British Economist has said that "George Bush's Washington is a study in family influence." End of storyfew details.

But there are a small number of journalists with enough patience, energetic curiosity and research ability to dig for some of those untold details. One of them is our occasional contributor Margie Burns, a scholarly investigator with a Ph.D. who teaches English literature at the University of Maryland in Baltimore when she is not probing Internet sources for her next article.

She has written for us on White House connections with Halliburton (September 15, 2003); the Bush family's profiteering in Iraq (February 1, 2004); and the right-wing Washington "neocons" who promoted the U.S. invasion of Iraq (May 1, 2004).

or more than 20 years the Bush family has had extensive business ties to Middle East geopolitics. Among other connections, during the 1990s certain suites at the Watergate office building in Washington, rented by the embassies of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, were also home to a Bush-linked private investment firm.

The investment company, called the Kuwait-American Corporation (KuwAm), backed and largely controlled a security company named Stratesec and an aircraft company named Aviation General. Both Stratesec and Aviation General convened their annual shareholders' meetings from 1999 through 2001 in Suite 900 at the Watergate, then rented by the Saudi embassy.

Marvin P. Bush, the youngest brother of George W. Bush and a director of Stratesec, was reelected annually to his directorship there, near the Saudi Arabian Airlines offices. In 2002, the companies moved their shareholders meetings to the Watergate's Suite 500, held by the Kuwaiti embassy.

Aviation General was founded in the early 1980s as Commander Aircraft. It manufactured and sold private planes to international clients. Stratesec was founded as Securacom (formerly the engineering firm Burns and Roe Securacom). It was reinvented shortly after the first Gulf War, and thereafter marketed large security contracts to big clients, including the World Trade Center, Washington's Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport, various municipalities and airlines.

Stratesec and Aviation General shared top executives, including Wirt D. Walker III, a distant relative "in the Walker branch of the Bush family," according to a former colleague, and Mishal Yousef Saud Al Sabah of the Kuwaiti ruling family. Walker and Al Sabah also headed KuwAm, the backer of Stratesec and Aviation General.

TIGHT LINKS—The boards and shareholders of the three companies—the investment firm KuwAm, the security company Stratesec, and the aircraft company Aviation General—were tightly connected. Walker, a director at all three companies, was at various times CEO and chairman of the board at Stratesec while at the same time managing director at KuwAm, including when Stratesec hired KuwAm for corporate secretarial services at $2,500 a month. Stratesec, which was de-listed on the American Stock Exchange in the fall of 2002 and went bankrupt, also paid Walker $130,500 annually for consulting, according to its quarterly filings. Both Stratesec and Aviation General are bankrupt now, and KuwAm has relocated its headquarters from the Watergate to Walker's home in McLean, Virginia, a Washington suburb.

Mishal Al Sabah, son of the former Emir of Kuwait and ex-son-in-law of the current Emir, also served on the boards of both KuwAm and Stratesec and sometimes as chairman of KuwAm. Walker and Al Sabah were major shareholders in both companies. According to interviews Walker has given, their close relationship began when Al Sabah came to America at age 15. When Al Sabah turned 21, he invested in Walker's companies, including KuwAm, where another Al Sabah relative also served on the board.

Investors in the bankrupt Stratesec are now suing the company's partners, including Walker and Al Sabah, in federal court in Washington. Al Sabah, under contempt-of-court charges, faces arrest if he returns to this country, according to an individual close to the case. He is thought to be in Kuwait, but recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates to conduct the sale of an airplane by Commander Aircraft, now a subsidiary of Aviation General, Walker's other company.

KuwAm was by far the biggest long-term backer for both Stratesec and Aviation General, acting much like a swinging door for Kuwaiti money to pass through. In 1996, KuwAm owned 90 percent of Securacom, directly or through partnerships with names like "Special Situations Investment Holdings" and "Fifth Floor Company for General Trading and Contracting." KuwAm owned 31 percent of Securacom in 1998 and 47 percent of Stratesec in 1999.

Marvin Bush was reelected to the Stratesec board of directors annually from 1993 through 1999. His last reelection was on May 25, 1999, for July 1999 to June 2000.

The company described itself this way: "Stratesec, Incorporated, is a fully integrated single source security systems company. The company provides consulting and planning, engineering and design, systems integration, and maintenance and technical support services to commercial and government clients worldwide. Stratesec has completed security projects for airports, corporations, utilities, prisons, universities, and federal, state and local governments."

When Securacom went public on September 11, 1997, its prospectus for the Initial Public Offering prominently featured photographs of its clients the World Trade Center and Dulles airport, with a client list that included United Airlines and Los Alamos National Laboratories.

While on the board, Marvin Bush served on the company's Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. He acquired 53,000 shares of stock in the company at 52 cents a share, partly through his private company, Andrews-Bush, located in northern Virginia. Shares in the 1997 initial offering sold at $8.50.

Company stock became worthless after the company's de-listing. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings ceased showing Marvin Bush as a shareholder after 2000, but there are no filings indicating when his stock was sold. Bush, whose investment firm still backs other contractors at the Dulles and Reagan airports, has not responded to requests for comment.

One of Stratesec's biggest security contracts was with the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, to provide electronic security for Dulles and Reagan airports. The company got its first preventive-maintenance contract with Dulles airport in 1995 and received about $6.3 million in revenue from the Dulles project between 1995 and 1998.

Stratesec did not handle passenger screening at Dulles, where one of the 9/11 jets was hijacked. According to Dave Swennes, a contracting official for the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, its three-year contract was for maintenance of security systems. The company maintained the airfield access system, the closed circuit television system and electronic badging.

Given the security sensitivities of Dulles airport, there are ironies in having some of its electronic security handled by a company with Middle East ties. After completing its three-year contract with Dulles, the company bid on a new contract but lost out in spite of being the lowest bidder.

TIES TO THE TWIN TOWERS—Securacom, beginning with its previous incarnation, Stratesec, unlike many other security firms, did not separate security consulting from providing security services. As a single-source provider of end-to-end security services, it offered everything from a diagnosis of existing systems, to hiring subcontractors, and to installing video and electronic equipment. It also offered armored vehicles and security guards.

The company emphasized continuing relationships with a few big long-term clients, including the World Trade Center, home to the Twin Towers. According to SEC filings, the World Trade Center and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, were two of the company's three biggest clients in 1996 and 1997.

After the first attack on the World Trade Center, in 1993, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey began a multimillion-dollar, multiyear revamping of security in and around the Twin Towers. As Burns and Roe Securacom, the company had previously done security studies on the World Trade Center. Securacom was hired along with many other contractors for the upgrade and was praised in security industry publications, although the board membership of former President Bush's son Marvin went unnoticed.

NO COMMENT—Marvin Bush had joined Securacom's board of directors in 1993, part of a new management team hired when Securacom separated from Burns and Roe, and he remained on the board through 1999.

The White House has not responded to repeated questions and requests for comment about Marvin Bush's relationship with Securacom. (Wirt Walker and other former management figures were interviewed by phone.)

Securacom got the $8.3 million World Trade Center security contract in October 1996 and received about $9.2 million from the WTC job from 1996 (a quarter of its revenues that year) to 1998. But in 1998, the company was "excused from the project" because it could not fulfill the work, according to former manager Al Weinstein, and the electronic security work at the WTC was taken over by EJ Electric, a larger contractor.

Aviation General boasted of its international clientele. A 1996 press release announced its sale of airplanes to the National Civil Aviation Training Organization (NCATO) of Giza, Egypt, "the sole civilian pilot training organization in Egypt." The announcement mentioned "Sheik Mishal Yousef Saud Al Sabah" as "Chairman of KuwAm Corporation and board member of Commander Aircraft Company." NCATO also had contractual partnerships with several U.S. flight schools, including Embry-Riddle University in Florida. Embry-Riddle has not responded to questions about the partnership.

Aviation General was de-listed on the Nasdaq exchange in October 2002 after filing for bankruptcy protection.

Although, Stratesec and Aviation General were both troubled companies, with blatant managerial problems including litigation, tax arrears, and trouble paying vendors, both companies received substantial funding throughout the 1990s. On top of the massive capital infusion from the Kuwaitis, millions were generated through its Initial Public Offering statement in 1997, and revenues from large contracts. Stratesec also obtained capital from numerous investors. Why was that, if the companies were so troubled?

Former managers speculate that the Bush connection was helpful. A partial list of companies investing in Stratesec while Marvin Bush was on the board of directors includes several well-known investment management companies, including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Munder, Fidelity, Putnam, and John Hancock.

According to Jeff Gallup, a former Stratesec manager who left the company for a position at Landtek, Inc., Stratesec installed the initial security-description plan—the layout of the electronic security system—at the World Trade Center. Gallup knows the WTC site well, since Landtek, like EJ Electric, was a prime contractor at the trade center. He was "intimately involved" with WTC security, he said in a phone interview last year, up to September 12, 2001, when "the F.B.I. left my office with all the contents of the WTC visitors database," by then three-quarters of a million visitors' badges. It is regrettable that the F.B.I. has not been equipped with an adequate computer system to analyze this information.

ENLARGING MARVIN—Among his other business interests, Marvin Bush also served on the board of directors of HCC Insurance (formerly Houston Casualty Company), one of the main insurance carriers for the World Trade Center. Thus Bush, paradoxically, was connected to two companies with a significant interest in security at the trade center. In spring 1999, Bush was simultaneously a nominee for the boards of both Stratesec and HCC Insurance.

Bush's directorship at Stratesec was not included on the proxy statement for HCC that year, and his connections with HCC were not included on the proxy statement for Stratesec. SEC regulations require directors and officers of public companies to list their other directorships and business connections. In addition to Bush's violations of the SEC regulations in these instances, his directorship at Fresh Del Monte, where he and a longtime friend who brought him into HCC were also on the Audit and Compensation committees, was also omitted in the Stratesec proxy filing.

Bush's HCC proxy information did disclose his positions at his own firm, Andrews-Bush, and at Fresh Del Monte, but in addition to not disclosing his Stratesec connection, he omitted yet another association, with Kerrco, an oil company in Houston.

Bush left Stratesec after 1999 but currently remains an adviser to HCC Insurance. HCC lost $29 million at 9/11, largely from World Trade Center property losses, medical payouts in New York City, and workers' compensation reinsurance losses.

The chairman and CEO of HCC Insurance, Stephen Way, brought Bush onto the boards of both HCC and Del Monte. L. Byron Way, HCC vice president, explained in a telephone interview that HCC "handled easily maybe a dozen or so coverages for the World Trade Center," mainly property and workers' compensation, going back through the 1990s. Way could not say when HCC became a carrier for the center or how much its WTC exposure totaled. "With stakes that big, premiums can vary," he said, adding that property coverage was handled through the London office. The company has not responded to questions about Bush's proxy statements.

The security industry is an extraordinary combination of hush-hush secrecy and wild openness. When you hire a security contractor, one specialist said, "What's on your computer is on their computer." This is particularly a concern when the contractor services both government and private clients, or both domestic and foreign customers, as Marvin Bush's companies did. Why has the White House been so silent on this concern, particularly when enormous federal contracts have been involved?

Every so often, a bright shaft of good news shines through the M$M murk. Recently such a beam hit my desk with the announcement that Baltasar Garzon, a Spanish judge, has opened an inquiry regarding allegations of torture by the Bush Administration in support of their War of Terror directed at Americans and residents of Pipelinestan. The history of Spanish jurisprudence is encouraging in light of the arrest order issued for the former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet, which was ignored by the UK which chose to return Augusto to Chile rather that turning them over for prosecution at the Hague. Perchance could that intervention have anything to do with the Nixon Administration's support of the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Salvador Allende guided by the bloody hands of Henry Kissinger?

The US has certainly come a long way from prosecuting Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg (only after the CIA exported "scientists of interest" to the Americas to continue their work with full US taxpayer support under operation "Paper Clip") and prosecuting Japanese soldiers for water boarding prisoners. Over sixty years later prosecution of similar crimes against humanity is distinctly un-PC under the Obomba Adminstration, where predator drones are currently combing the terrain along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, looking for members of the Taliban to extirpate, as well as any innocent men, women, and children who happen to live there, is considered morally acceptable.

The Grin Reaper asks, what has changed since the Holocaust that justifies genocide in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Lebanon, and Gaza and grants immunity from prosecution to the likes of Yoo, Bybee, Gonzales, Feith, Perle, Wolfowitz, Addington, Haynes, Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Blair and W? Or does genocide just matter when it happens to Zionist Ashkenazi Turkic Khazars who collectively own the US CONgressional "representatives" and operate US foreign policy through the auspices of AIPAC with the help of the likes of "Tel Aviv Jane" Harman.

The cases of Rwanda, and Darfur certainly suggest that this is the case. As such, the US has demoted the system of international justice to punishment for third world tin-pot despots such as Samuel Taylor and demagoges like Slobodon Milosavich. Thus reserving the "Just Us" rights for the Axis of Aggression to inflict torture upon anyone, anytime, anywhere, in defense of the US/UK/Israel's extraterritorial interests independent of the provisions of the Geneva Convention and Habeas Corpus.

The Obomba Administration's reticence to open a torture investigation at the behest of senator Patrick Lehy is understandable because of the majority of Democrats who supported the shrub administration every step of the way on it's tortuous War of Terror. To open the can of worms would require a truth commission to examine the whole basket of lies that include the 911 false flag attack, controlled demolition of WTC buildings 1,2, and 7, anthrax "attacks", non-existent Iraqi WMD and Nigerian "yellow" cake.

Such a commission would have to round up "Buzz" Krongard, Larry Silverstein, Maurice Greenberg, Rudy Guiliani, Marvin Bush (W's brother) of Securacom/Stratsec, Brian Jenkins of Kroll Inc., Tom Leppert of Turner Construction, Greg Blinn of John Galt corporation, and over 150 operatives in the CIA, Israeli MOSSAD, British MI6, Pakistani ISI, as well as a number of Kuwaiti and Saudi financiers.

The good news is that since Osama Bin Laden died in Rawalpindi of renal failure on December 26, 2001, we can safely leave him off the list.

We now have high confirmation that:

1) Torture spanned a government-wide conspiracy to ferret out spin (whether true or not) for invading Iraq; as Frank Rich summarizes this crusade, “If only 9/11 could somehow be pinned on Iraq, the case for war would be a slamdunk.”

2) Torture incorporated “reverse engineering” infamous, Chinese communist Korean War abuses designed to coerce false confessions for propaganda:

The results of a US Truth commission would also be expensive, requiring reparations to the family's of WTC victims, NYPD, FDNY, and the cavalcade of first responders who are all slowly dying of respiratory disease, as well as the families of John O'Neill and Barry Jennings; who was recently silenced forever for speaking out about his experience when the basement was blown up while he and Michael Hess were in Guiliani's Office of Emergency Management located on the 23rd floor of WTC 7. Also included in the list would be the families of millions of dead Muslims strewn across the Middle East as well future generations of their progeny poisoned by US depleted uranium munitions.

Despite the cost of such a commission, the Grin Reaper is willing to pay out for it, because the Truth would set the Americans and world's populace free from the lies ginned up by the Axis of Aggression to support it's endless quest for land and resources that legally don't belong to them.

Hopefully this would pave the way for a fair trade mercantilism providing basic living standards for the world's citizenry. brotherhoods. it is definately a cast system we live in today and it
is elite vs middle class and poor,with all of us at the lower end
getting less and less support and coverage for our input even thogh
the internet info highway has made us "FEEL GOOD" about all this.
we are now seeing the culmination of years of this type of arm
twisting and secret code and legislation that has secured our demise
as a god fearing,constitution based sovereign culture.
do not be deceived,and do not be afraid to fight this brotherhood in
ways that only the truthful can.
work in the light and not the dark. use low tech channeling and
communication with like minded groups anywhere you can,keep the
family cohesive and do not be afraid to be in a minority when you are

I think that the reason Chris Carter was flustered is out of concern. He was probably threatened with 'if you're going to pursue this, if you go any further with questioning the official version, watch out'.  So, his family, friends, well-being were his concerns, therefore knowing that he wants the truth to come out, but can't speak about it himself, wanted his fellow worker to be able to answer the question. Look how it only lasted for one season.

If Spotnitz speaks, at least it wasn't Carter himself, therefore, concerns are allayed.

One final thing, the fact that the episode was so 'spot on' with many of the actual events of that day tells us that there had to be someone that had given Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz the scenario knowing that it was about to happen and tried to prevent it. They tried to do what they could by producing and then airing it but to no avail. Kind of makes me wonder who was the person(s) that gave them this information and were they taken out as a hurdle to the inside job so that the plan could still go forth? I guess we won't know unless Chris Carter was to speak up and reveal all that he knows.

Either way, this was a series that should have gone beyond 1 season but I believe that 'Hollywood Insiders' punished him for revealing their plans.

My opinion, anyway.

It was a success. Same thing with the Simpsons which highlights it all. (The Simpsons predicted 9 11 in a shocking and in my opinion disturbing fashion)
