 I can only speak to the 2 near me, well, one near me and one relatively near me. I checked them both out and it was a bust, nothing there but a dirt patch and a few ruins and the other was a guys hay field.

OK - someone told me about an abandoned base that is in Santa Rita, CA - which is just north of Salinas on HWY 101 - but that isn't a for sure thing.

Info retrieved that way is old and possibly stale.  Also, I don't believe everything I google.

yeh....thats my take on them. every one I checked out either in person, through someone I knew who lived in the area or online pretty much turned out to be bogus....except the prisons they called Fema camps anyway....I'm sure if they wanted to round people up they could stick them in prisons. but i think your chasing your tale by looking for the ones on the "list"

Yeah, plus the fact a FEMA camp can be constructed rather quickly.

It was actually sort of a joke, but if true, shit, maybe I'm a seer!

Then again, I suspect your joke was way better than mine. Grin

I'm dealing in facts.  If there is a FEMA Camp location close to me, relatively speaking - I am going there and checking it out.

I did the same thing in my past on another issue - but I don't want this thread to take a tangent, so I will not give details of that.

While it is interesting playing with innuendo - I want to make it crystal clear - give me a reason to believe there is a FEMA Camp near me, and I will either get proof that it is true or proof that it is false.

(b) Purpose of national emergency centers.—The purpose of a national emergency center shall be to use existing infrastructure—

(1) to provide temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster;
