A good friend and director at one of the local pregnancy centers asked me to speak at her fundraiser about the massive Planned Parenthood that is going up in Houston, and what we, as Christians, should be doing to up the ante in the battle for life. I've only got 10 mins, but have been working on condensing some powerful punches about Sanger's eugenic agenda into it. I want to really drive it home and make clear what we are up against and make a call to action.
I'll let y'all know how it goes...

The fund raiser went very well, and it was an honor to speak right before Randy Weber, TX State Rep. for district 29. He also seemed to be very clued up on the MO of Planned Parenthood. The pregnancy center director told a story about a young black girl that had called the center asking about a free abortion. First of all, the pregnancy centers do not provide abortions - they counsel on parenting choices, give sonograms, parenting classes etc. The girl had been told by a representative at Planned Parenthood that because she was black, she was entitled to a free abortion as they had been given funds that were to be used for abortions on ethnic minorities. Unbelievable.
I spoke about Margaret Sanger - who she was, what she believed - and introduced the concept of eugenics to a group of people from the Church, most of whom would have never heard of this concept before. I made sure to mention that the word Eugenics was first coined in 1883 by Francis Galton, the cousin of Charles Darwin. That name always ruffles feathers in the Church. I went on to talk about the new Planned Parenthood facility in Houston, and broke it down for what we should be doing in this battle for life.
It was well received and I made some good connections. Another day in the life of a life ministry!

eu⋅gen⋅ics /yuˈdʒɛnɪks/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [yoo-jen-iks] Show IPA Use eugenics in a Sentence See web results for eugenics See images of eugenics –noun (used with a singular verb) the study of or belief in the possibility of improving the qualities of the human species or a human population, esp. by such means as discouraging reproduction by persons having genetic defects or presumed to have inheritable undesirable traits (negative eugenics) or encouraging reproduction by persons presumed to have inheritable desirable traits (positive eugenics).
Would you like to spell out just what it is about Eugenics that ruffles Church people? Are they against improving human bodies and minds or not? And if not, why not?
We have improved our domestic animals. Are we not valuable enough to improve ourselves?

what is it that you find so good about it? Is it the sterilization of unwantables in your society? And who decides just who is an unwantable? Eugenics comes out of Evolution, which race is the desirable race, is it Aryan? Is it Asian? if so which ones? Tibbetian? Chinese? Mongul? Do you see how this works now?

*Applauds* Way to go Aviana! Being you are in Houston, if ever the chance should arise again you can bring up the fact that the Bush Family have been on board with eugenics and Prescott Bush, the patriarch of the Bush family, was a well-known supporter of the eugenics movement and an open supporter of Planned Parenthood.I have protested in Kennebunkport, Maine quoting similar material of the Bush Family Crime Syndicate.

Doc, you are making up stuff. Why exactly did you bring up the matter of race? I'm sure that all races can benefit from a good Eugenics program. "Unwantables" are obvious=those who will never be able to care for themselves, but who need care 24/7. Mandatory sterilization of all who exhibit heritable defects that interfere with their quality of life and/or make them dependant upon another for daily needs.

What exactly is your problem with that?
Don't we have enough homes filled with people who cannot care for themselves? Why do we need more of them?
I'm not saying we should kill the ones already living, but to prevent anymore from arriving.

I would if that was the point I was making. It is the name Darwin that ruffles feathers in the church. I shouldn't need to spell that one out.

Thanks, Donnay. Yes, that is good info about the Bush connection. There might be a time, down the road, when I will be able to introduce this type of info. We have to tread so carefully because there are so many folks in the Church that are staunch republicans, pro-life, fundie etc. - but not awake - that wouldn't hear a word said against, Bush et al. The strategy works well when you're citing someone who flies in the face of all they believe, like the big O. One step at a time... Since last night, I've had some great feedback and it feels like there is a lot more in store...

well lets see where that leads. If we dont want any more ugly people in the world we just dont allow them to mate. Then we wont have any more. Smae with Fat people. if we dont allow them to mate no more fat people. How about Jews? Native Indians or even Black people. Enter Margaret Sanger. http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=71868.0

Dok, you are making things up again. Where do you get these ideas from? Remember, you said it, not I.
The other thing I would like to know is; What is it about Planning Parenthood that you object to?
Do you think that we should just breed like animals? Just any old time regardless of consequences?
When you are doing all you objecting to rational logic do you ever consider the quality of life of the “little diaper-clad “consequence”.
I get the impression that you couldn’t care less just so long as it gets to be born. I have noticed that you go to great lengths to protest abortion, but you are nowhere to be found when these little unintended consequences are roaming the streets getting into trouble because they do not have responsible caring parents.
And where are you when all these little girls are influenced with the idea that free sex is just another part of life? Why are your hordes of protestors not creating educational programs? Why are they not petitioning The Powers That Be for higher moral standards in the biggest of all influences in everyone’s life…The Television Programming, as well as Movies. Where were you when those Moral standards began to slip? You were likely busy painting your “pro-life signs instead of going to the Source of the Problem. You are like the fireman who tries to put out a fire by clipping at the flames.

Stop the irrational fear of eugenics. I think when used properly it is more humane than anything: if we can target people likely to pass down devastating diseases like Down Syndrome or Cystic Fibrosis that would lead to the child and the parent have no quality of life, then by all means educate and encourage these people to be sterilized.
Quality of life is relative. Life is not.

planned parent hood was started with the whole concept of eradicating the undesirables of there day. Mostly, Black, Jews, poor people, slow people, any one that didnt confirm with their ideals. They even had the leaders of the Black communities of the time on there side, sort of like todays shake down artists. It was so successful that the states them selves adopted many of its tenants and forcibly sterilized woman they deemed as unfit for society. so do you decide who is unfit?

I have to agree with Dok on this one (scary) . Eugenics is a very very slippery slope. I can't see any way of approaching it that will not lead to worse things. Realistically, it would start with taking out all the genetic diseases, but then it would move to designer babies (where's the harm in that? /sarcasm). At that point, the floodgates would open up for governments. In a world free of governments, it might be possible, but as long as that monopoly on force remains--it's a horrible proposition.

You're making things up too Zeke. You and Dok both think that life even in the most deformed body is better than none? That makes you both Sadists.
Humans have more than 4000 heritable defects. I think that "taking them out" will be quite a long process.
As to designer babies....some of that is being done now. Presumably there has been a baby girl born that is free from a form of breast cancer. Do you object to that? If so why? If this had been your child...would you opt for the treatment or would you just let the chips fall where they may?
It is your type of thinking that is scary.

If wish to debate with me, you need to cease with the baseless assumptions and name calling. It's not that I get offended; it's nearly impossible to offend me. But I don't like wasting my time discussing an issue if the person attacks me instead of my arguments. If you wish to try again, I welcome your criticisms of my assertions.
