Thanks for posting the picture behind the twins. I never really thought to give it a good look.

To me, it looks like a painting showing two girls seen from behind, looking to the other end of a long room with a white floor. A group of men stand at the other end of the room facing the two girls seen from behind. The girl on the right has two long pony tails and is slightly taller than the girl on the left. The date at the bottom of the oval (ouroburis?) surrounding the image appears to be 1922. Very strange image indeed when taken within the context of this film. Who are the men standing at the other end of the room? Could it possibly be an altar of some sort behind the men at the other end of the room?

Another detail: Look at the object at the lower left hand corner. Could that possibly be the square and compass symbol of Freemasonry? The more I look at it, the more that's what it seems to be.

Anyone got a Blueray of the movie for a better HD screenshot?

It looks like a movie poster or a western rodeo poster.

The words at the bottom say:

Denver 1972 Colorado

It says DENVER? Seriously?

I wonder if Kubrick knew their plans for the Denver Airport.

Brocke, this is from the blu-ray, on a 1080 monitor, i'll take a pic of the 'full screen' so you can understand how small this poster is within the scene...
OK, maybe a true 'screen-shot' would be better but with blu-rays it's a very difficult thing to do, lot's of features are blocked with blu-rays including screen-shots, you could copy it to ya hard-drive, but really it wouldn't be that much better.

I have it on blu-ray, but don't know how to get a screen shot.

Interesting too is the Denver reference. It has been said that Denver is a very important location within the Satanic network. Denver international Airport comes to mind.

I still think it looks like the Masonic square and compass in the lower left hand corner.

If you use VLC player to watch movies on your PC.

How to create screenshot with VLC Player
To take a snapshot of the video displayed by VLC, you just need to press the pre-defined snapshot hotkey:

    * Windows / Linux / Unix: Ctrl+Alt+S

VLC don't play blu-ray, like i said you're options are limited with blu-rays.
The vid players that do work with blu-rays don't allow screen-shots.

Whatever is depicted in the painting behind the twins, it was considered relevant by Kubrick or he wouldn't have placed it there. Kubrick didn't frame shots without much deliberation and forethought. The picture is even placed exactly centered in between the two twins, as if the director was trying to direct our attention to it.

Hmmm, I'll have to look into this. There must be a way to get a digital frame out of a blueray so we can blow it up. It would be very handy to get large images for this thread.

ANYDVD will let you copy them to ya hard drive, but then you gotta find a player that will play it AND allow screen-shots, i looked into this a while ago, look at size of the poster in the shot, it's tiny, we got a good pic of it now anyways, you can take quality photos off the screen, really.
For example see below, you could get better quality that this even, so don't sweat it.

Everything that Kubrick put in his films is important. He started out as a photographer and every frame of his films communicates something. He used to insist on hundreds of take in some cases.

I want a better version!  Cheesy

The more I look at it the more it looks like a hall or passage with a double door at the end and rows of men standing on each side. sort of like a gauntlet of servants when the queen arrives.

WE can get large quality images, easy, and we could link to them so they don't look out of place no problem, but forget about that damn poster already Grin, what we got above is about the best possible.
I took a look at it on a bigger hd tele and it's just the same.

I've cracked the poster i know what Stan was referring to, you see how it says Denver 1912?

Some of the scariest places in America reviewed.

An hour outside Denver in Estes, Colorado you can find one of the scariest hotels in American history, The Stanley Hotel. The real life hotel was the basis for Steven King’s “The Shining.”

After a very interesting stay in the hotel King decided to write his third book based upon his experience. The hotel was built by F.O. Stanley, the designer of the “Stanley Steam” engines. There are numerous reports that he and his wife still roomthe hotel , where he frequents the front desk and she can be heard playing the piano in the lobby. There have been thousands of reports of children playing in the fourth floor hall, even when no children arein the hotel.

A visit Decatur, Illinois will bring you to the Lincoln Theatre, considered the most haunted theatre in America.

The Lincoln was built in the 1916 in classic horror film style, on top of a Native American burial ground. Worse yet, the site was built over the scene of a large hotel fire only a year before the theatre opened. Here many people report seeing people across the open auditorium, which has long been closed for safety reasons. behind the stage people believe the have been followed up a spiral staircase. Literally hundreds of accounts of unexplained incidents make the Lincoln the most haunted theatre in America.

The scariest real haunted house in America can be found in a small Iowa town called Villisca. Here the fomre home of J. Moore is simply know as “The Villisca Axe Murder House”.

The Moores came home from a church function with two house guests in June, 1912. Somewhere between midnight and 5am, J.Moore, his wife, their four children and the two house guest were brutally axe murdered by unknown assailants believed to have been hiding in the attic. All 8 were found dead the next morning. The case was never solved. The house was bought  in 1994, and restored to the historical state of the 1912 axe murders. The owners here say they constantly find childrens rubber ball rolling in the hall, and though they remove them they always come back. The door opening to the hall opens and closes by itself, usually around dinner time.

Due to the consistency - density of the blood flooding outta the elevator at beginning, with someone apparently flopping out too, probably had to push the open button, we can be sure it's the real deal, at least in the final movie, maybe stan worked on a model first, but yes that's a given.

Wendy let me explain something to you: Whenever you come in here and interrupt me you are breaking my concentration- You're distracting me, and it will then take me time to get back to where i was, understand?

Yeah.

Fine, ...now we're gonna make a new rule: Whenever i'm in here and you hear me typing, or whether you don't hear me type, or whatever the f**k you hear me do in here, when i'm in here that means i'm working: that means don't come in, now do you think you can handle that?

Yeah.

Fine, ...why don't you start right now and get the f**k outta here.

OK.

They filled the elevator shaft with the red fluid.  The end of the hallway(where the camera is sitting) was boarded up and covered with plastic to keep the fluid from traveling into the lobby.  The elevator door wouldn't open automatically because no elevator was present so someone had to push it open and you can see that it doesn't open all of the way.  I saw an interview with someone who helped set the scene up...it might be in the extras.

http://store.sacredmysteriesmarketplace.com/dvds/kubrick-s-odyssey-part-1-dvd.html

Weidner also explores Kubrick's film, The Shining and shows that this film is, in actuality, the story of Kubrick's personal travails as he secretly worked on the Apollo footage for NASA

Jay Weidner - Kubrick's Odyssey & The Brotherhood of Saturn March 6, 2011

Called by Wired Magazine an "authority on the hermetic and alchemical traditions," and "erudite conspiracy hunter," Jay Weidner is a renowned author, filmmaker and hermetic scholar. Considered to be a "modern-day Indiana Jones" for his ongoing worldwide quests to find clues to mankind's spiritual destiny via ancient societies and artifacts, his body of work offers great insight into the circumstances that have led to the current global crisis. He is the producer of the documentary films, "2012 The Odyssey", its sequel "Timewave 2013" and "Infinity; The Ultimate Trip". Jay joins us to discuss his latest film "Kubrick's Odyssey: Secrets Hidden in the films of Stanley Kubrick". The acclaimed American film director Stanley Kubrick told an important story with all his films and they all connect with each other and communicate a message. The question is if Kubrick was murdered considering what he trying to reveal with his films. We start to examine the film "Eyes Wide Shut" and how it connects with mind control, the elite, satanic, archonic, and demonic forces. We also discuss the Brotherhood of Saturn, the secret space program and Arthur C. Clarke. Topics Discussed: Kubric's Odyssey, Eyes Wide Shut, Operation Monarch, occult, sex-cults, Kubrick murdered, storytelling with films, A.I., pedophilia, Archons, Demons, Lolita, bear symbolism, Jim Garrison, Lee Harvey Oswald, NASA, the real space program, Babalon Bunch, Saturnian Society, JPL, the ringmakers, hexagonal rings on Saturn, Jupiter, Zeus, Saturn, Set, Buzz Aldrin comments on the Monolith Phobos, Lord of the Rings, Iapateus, Sargon, rings of Saturn, time trap and more.

March 6, 2011

In the second hour with Jay Weidner we begin to discuss Albert Pike's letter to Giuseppe Mazzini detailing a plan for three world wars. The letter described how Islam, Zionism and Christianity will destroy each other and in the process start a third world war. We also talk about the clash of civilizations, problems with multiculturalism, urban civil war, culture wars, gang wars and the insanity of religion. Current developments in both Europe and America are suggesting that clash of civilizations now is a reality. We also talk about 2012 with Jay, the information revolution, knowledge as solution and the rebellion of the intelligent. Don't miss this important second hour two with Jay Weidner. Topics discussed: Albert Pike's plan of three world wars, Abrahamic religions, Leo Strauss, religion, Islam, Christianity, Zionism, mind control, Clash of Civilizations, A.I., Mecca, mecha, gang wars, losing humanity, 2012, messiah complex, information revolution, knowledge, the Illuminati, Max Keiser, buying silver crashing J.P. The Shining: Kubrick’s Gold Story film analysis by Rob Ager

6 Feb 2012

1/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAQnfOXqiR0

2/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7xVGy2rc_k

3/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1D8bXCR6Epk

4/4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDKT-SLtq4c

I am very much impressed with Rob Ager’s film analysis of the hidden gold story in Kubrick’s: The Shining.

The evidence is overwhelming and very strong. I even got inspired by Rob Ager in finding, what might be yet, an other clue:

On the walls of one of the vaults, posters from the 1940s are still visible, from when the vast room was used as a canteen.

The walls must be literally bombproof as they were used by bank staff as air raid shelters during World War II.

The old-fashioned posters that hang around the room depict sunny climes, luxury cruises and happier times – which may be as welcome a sight as the valuables for many.”

QUOTE FROM: We’ve still got a few quid then! Bank of England’s glittering stash of £156BILLION in gold bars stored in former canteen under London
3 February 2012
, by Emma Reynolds (Daily Mail)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2095535/Bank-Englands-glittering-stash-156BN-gold-bars-stored-canteen-London.html

Don’t buy this Daily Mail story for a moment. As far as I am concerned this could even be falsified Tungsten gold.

Nobody has audited it besides the London banking criminals themselves. You can’t just simply take their word for it.

And who owns that gold anyways? Could be all non-British stacked gold from countries all over the world.

Only trust it as central banks around the world have retrieved and remelted their gold to be sure there’s no tungsten involved.

The scene right before this as the lady is climbing the stairs is shot amazingly.

Why is manbearpig showing up in 1980? South Park didn't popularize it until 2006. Symbol is now associated with attention whoring.

I would like to say it represents his wifes discovery that the cold war is fake and the Russian Bear and the US politicians are actually in an intimate secret relationship.
But what if that isnt a bear, then what is it.

Stanley Kubrick is without question one of the five greatest film directors of all time.

I don't even think that's a matter of opinion. It's like saying teenage girls like to text endlessly on their cell phones. Some things are just glaringly obvious.

What is a matter of opinion, however, is who the other four are.

IMHO, they are:

* Ridley Scott
* Steven Spielberg
* Quentin Tarantino
* Michael Mann

Agreed! Stanley Kubrick and Ridley Scott are two of the best. I'd add Terry Gilliam to the top three.

My full list of favs are:

Stanley Kubrick
Ridley Scott
Terry Gilliam
Alan J. Pakula
George Lucas (before 1978. After that he went all to hell.)
Francis Ford Coppola
Robert Altman
Sydney Pollack
Quentin Tarantino
Roman Polanski (I know, I know, he is a creepy pedophile satanist. He is still an amazing director)
David Cronenberg (another creep but an undeniable talent)
Brian De Palma
Sam Peckinpah

The Shining Ball at the Stanley Hotel http://seasweetie.wordpress.com/2011/10/30/the-shining-ball-at-the-stanley-hotel/

Excerpt:

The hotel has housed numerous famous visitors, and most notably, Stephen King, whose stay in Room 217 on a blizzardy night inspired him to write “The Shining”. While the Stanley Kubrick film by the same name was not filmed here, because Kubrick didn’t think that audiences would find such a hotel believable in a location like Colorado (hello? reality check?), it does run on a continuous loop 24/7 on one of the stations on the hotel’s televisions. On the other hand, the mini-series, which was much less violent because it was made for TV, and much more accurate, because Stephen King was involved in the production, was filmed on site.  And coincidentally, my boss’ husband appeared on-screen several times in his role as an “extra”.

I have never seen either the movie or the mini-series, nor have I read the book, having sworn off Stephen King some time ago. I have tremendous respect for his writing, but reading it is simply destructive to my psyche. But The Stanley makes the most of the connection, with exhibits pertinent to the novel, and The Shining Ball, a wonderful costume ball and Halloween tradition. Room 217 is also included on the hotel’s Ghost Tour, which we missed out on. But not entirely. More about that in a bit.

Kurosawa
Spielberg

Just heard a very recent interview with Jay Weidner on Veritas radio show where he discusses some subliminals he recently discovered in The Shining. Check out the Winnie the Pooh stuffed doll sitting on the dresser across the room as Danny watches the Roadrunner cartoon, and notice how the extended ladder of his toy firetruck juts up from the upper leg area of the doll.

This was, of course, intentionally put there by Kubrick to suggest on the subliminal level, an erection. It connects back to the very creepy scene where a partially clothed Jack summons Danny over to the bed, after Danny enters the room in search of his toy firetruck. Interesting that the letter F is the first letter of the word "firetruck" and CK are the last two letters. I can think of only one word that begins and ends in those letters. Kubrick was a complete genius. He was trying to tell us something about a high level pedophile ring operating outside and above the law. According to Weidner, The Shining is jam packed with subliminals relating to bizarre sexual practices. Why did Kubrick do this?

Kubrick is probably my favorite. Other greats I love would be:
John Ford
Hitchcock
Bergman
Kurosawa
Spielberg

I agree with this list except for Spielberg.

Hitchcock and Kurosawa were genius.

54-year market veteran Ron Rosen on KWN: http://kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/Entries/2012/11/25_Rosen_-_This_Move_In_Gold_%26_Silver_Is_Going_To_Shock_People.html

Silver is headed for $100 at a minimum and gold to $4,500 sometime in early 2014.

This is not something that happened overnight. It’s not a result of Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

It’s something that dates back to the creation of the Federal Reserve system in 1913.

Everything we see in our charts long-term, including the Dow, begins in 1913
.

Which brings me back to Kubrick's 'The Shining'. For the ones who haven't seen Rob Ager's film analyses 'Kubrick’s Gold Story' exposed I would suggest to scroll just under the line first and start watching that so you can fully appreciate these updates.

The Shining - The Gold Room
