That's per a bulletin just announced on WCBS AM in New York.
I mean, what has he done, except breach a campaign promise to end the war in Iraq and pledging to EXPAND the war in Afghanistan?

Naller: Well, he's allowed a private army to take over a small town in Montana. That's peaceful, isn't it? WYHARDHAT: Per Leona Helmsley: "Only the little people pay taxes." Here's the link (I don't mean to brag, but notice that WCBS posted the story five minutes after I posted it on this board (remember: the board is on CDT, WCBS (and I) are on EDT)): http://www.wcbs880.com/President-Barack-Obama-Wins-2009-Nobel-Peace-Prize/5402660Notice the quote in the story: `His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population.'' You mean, he ain't Bush, but is globalist ideology really shared by the majority of the world's population? Maybe the majority of the world's state bureaucracy class (which exists primarily in Continental Europe and the Third World), but I think most people prefer their countries or their tribes to globalism. Also, why does this forum always crash between 4AM and 5AM Central Time?

Well after Al Gore and now this - it is obvious that the Nobel Prize Committee is bought and sold by the ruling elite.
They can't give it to someone that really deserves it like Bhutto or that Indian Guy that started the pharmaceutical that make AID's medicine for under $25 a year or at least something like that. The aforementioned have both saved lives - BO has never put himself between any cause and true mortal danger - a requirement that used to exist for this prize.
I thought I would never say it - but I can't respect the Nobel Prize anymore - nor the nominating committee. They are bought and sold.
BO should reject it - but like Gore - too much of a do-nothing politician to know any better.
What did that SNL skit just say - BO has accomplished ZERO.
This stuff is reading like a really bad screenplay.

Like Henry Kissinger, Obama has won the Nobel Prize For Genocide.
Wait you say, he hasn't committed genocide yet, he's just planning it, so since when do they give the Nobel prize for just planning something?

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aHJwK9iL4ZAwOct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Nobel Committee said. “The Nobel Committee has in particular looked at Obama’s vision and work toward a world without atomic weapons,” Thorbjoern Jagland, chairman of the five-member Nobel committee said in an interview broadcast on Norway’s TV2 today. “Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics.” Obama, 48, the first black U.S. president, was elected last year on a platform of extracting the U.S. from the Iraq war while increasing focus on an eight-year conflict in Afghanistan. All U.S. forces are scheduled to be withdrawn from Iraq by 2011, after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein. Obama is the third sitting U.S. president to be awarded the prize, following Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Former President Jimmy Carter won in 2002. “Multilateral diplomacy is again central, with emphasis on the role the United Nations and other international institutions should play,” Jagland said. “Dialogue and negotiations are the preferred method to solve even the most difficult international conflicts.” The prize, along with other honors for literature, physics, medicine and chemistry, was created by Swedish industrialist Alfred Nobel in his will and first awarded in 1901. Finland’s Martti Ahtisaari won the peace prize last year and past laureates include Martin Luther King Jr. and groups such as the International Committee of the Red Cross. Prizes for literature, chemistry, medicine and physics, are picked by the Stockholm-based Nobel Foundation. To contact the reporter on this story: Meera Bhatia in Oslo at mbhatia2@bloomberg.net. Obama is the third sitting U.S. president to be awarded the prize, following Theodore Roosevelt in 1906 and Woodrow Wilson in 1919. Former President Jimmy Carter won in 2002. Well, his fellow sitting president winners says a lot. And Carter hasn't exactly burned up the world on behalf of his own country either. Obama won for his efforts in bringing the US to it's knees at the feet of the globalists, for reeling in America into the New World Order.

UKLyn & JWest (and whoever else posted along these lines (I haven't had access to the forum for nearly an hour)):
Obama is beloved of the Eurobloc within the Global Ruling Class (that is, the Gradualist/Fabian Socialist/Communist/Multiculturalist/Global Warming Hoax Faction, as opposed to Bush's Militarist/Robber Baron/Fascist/Neo-Conservative/War on Terror Hoax Faction within that same class. The Nobel Prize Committee is clearly part of the former faction.

The deadline for nominations is Feb 1 and he wasn't even sworn-in until Jan 20. So what the HELL did he do to warrant a nomination in his first two weeks in office? What has he actually "accomplished"? http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/10/09/nobel.peace.prize/index.html?eref=rss_topstories (CNN) -- President Barack Obama made history again Friday, winning the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples." Less than nine months into his presidency, Barack Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. Less than nine months into his presidency, Barack Obama has been awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. The Norwegian Nobel Committee recognized Obama's efforts to solve complex global problems, including working toward a world free of nuclear weapons. "Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said. "His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population," it said. After the president was awakened and told he had won, he said he was humbled to be selected, according to an administration official. Obama's recognition comes less than a year after he became the first African-American to win the White House. He is the fourth U.S. president to win the prestigious prize and the third sitting president to do so. The announcement Friday in Oslo, Norway, came as a surprise -- Obama had not been mentioned among front-runners -- and the roomful of reporters gasped when Thorbjorn Jagland, chairman of the Nobel committee, announced Obama's name. Jagland said the decision was unanimous and came with ease. He rejected the notion that Obama had been recognized prematurely for his efforts and said the committee wanted to promote the president just it had Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990 in his efforts to open up the Soviet Union. Jagland said he hoped the prize would help Obama resolve the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari, last year's laureate, said it was clear the Nobel committee wanted to encourage Obama on the issues he has been discussing on the world stage. "I see this as an important encouragement," Ahtisaari said. The committee wanted to be "far more daring" than in recent times and make an impact on global politics, said Kristian Berg Harpviken, director of the International Peace Research Institute. And Wangari Muta Maathai, the Kenyan environmentalist who won the 2004 Peace Prize, said the win for Obama, whose father was Kenyan, would help Africa move forward. "I think it is extraordinary," she said. "It will be even greater inspiration for the world. He has shown how we can probably come together, work together in a cooperative way." The award comes at a crucial time for Obama, who has initiated peace missions to key parts of the globe. Obama's envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell, has returned to the region to advocate for peace negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. Mitchell met Thursday with Israeli President Shimon Peres. He plans to meet Friday with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before talking with Palestinian leaders in the West Bank. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton starts a six-day trip to Europe and Russia on Friday. On the trip, the secretary will discuss the next steps on Iran and North Korea, and international efforts to have the two countries end their nuclear programs. The centerpiece of the trip will be her visit to Moscow, where she will work toward an agreement to take the place of the Start II arms control pact, which expires December 5. She also will address the new bilateral presidential commission that is working on a broad range of issues, from arms control to health. Mohamed ElBaradei, who won the 2005 peace prize for his efforts to prevent nuclear energy being used for military means, said Obama deserved to win for his efforts to bring Iran to the table for direct nuclear talks with the United States. "I could not think of anybody who is more deserving," said ElBaradei, the chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency. As the news of Obama's win broke online, postings on social network sites Twitter and Facebook expressed surprise. Many started with the word: Wow. The last sitting U.S. president to win the peace prize was Woodrow Wilson in 1919. The other was Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. Jimmy Carter had been out of office for more than two decades when he won in 2002. This year's Peace Prize nominees included 172 people -- among them three Chinese dissidents, an Afghan activist and a controversial Colombian lawmaker -- and 33 organizations, the highest number of nominations ever. The deadline for nominations must be postmarked by February 1 each year. Obama was inaugurated on January 20.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vVi3UDV-ZgMan Of Peace Look out your window, baby, there's a scene you'd like to catch, The band is playing "Dixie," a man got his hand outstretched. Could be the Fuhrer Could be the local priest. You know sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. He got a sweet gift of gab, he got a harmonious tongue, He knows every song of love that ever has been sung. Good intentions can be evil, Both hands can be full of grease. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. Well, first he's in the background, then he's in the front, Both eyes are looking like they're on a rabbit hunt. Nobody can see through him, No, not even the Chief of Police. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. Well, he catch you when you're hoping for a glimpse of the sun, Catch you when your troubles feel like they weigh a ton. He could be standing next to you, The person that you'd notice least. I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. Well, he can be fascinating, he can be dull, He can ride down Niagara Falls in the barrels of your skull. I can smell something cooking, I can tell there's going to be a feast. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. He's a great humanitarian, he's a great philanthropist, He knows just where to touch you, honey, and how you like to be kissed. He'll put both his arms around you, You can feel the tender touch of the beast. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. Well, the howling wolf will howl tonight, the king snake will crawl, Trees that've stood for a thousand years suddenly will fall. Wanna get married? Do it now, Tomorrow all activity will cease. You know that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace. Somewhere Mama's weeping for her blue-eyed boy, She's holding them little white shoes and that little broken toy And he's following a star, The same one them three men followed from the East. I hear that sometimes Satan comes as a man of peace.

Oct. 9 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the Nobel Committee said.
Did those people see how he denied america manipulation in the iranian election, that was peaceful by him wasnt it, while the mind control tools of america, was trying to steal there election, and brought weeks of rioting to iranian streets. Nice peace. Bit like how gore won for global warming, and the sun in the sky laughed, and stopped it, just after, lol. Oh the irony in this world.

I am so disgusted. What a fraud this prize is, if it can be won on mere campaign rhetoric. Actions speak louder than words. Oh, and CNN - "peace missions" ? LMAO! He's about to bomb bomb Iran!!! What a f**king joke of a world we live in.

Yes, these nominations had to be in in-advance, so that Obama got the vote for.... 11 days in office

Hey, look at some of the idiots who have won it: Yasser Arafat (murdering terrorist who stole from his own people), Jimmy Karter (total failure), Al Gore (global warming scam artist).
