Yep. And this is just the watered down version.

The military has one that feeds in more info that this. I bet they have the one that zoom in real close to a human target select the target that activates the cell phone wire tap feature on the subjects cell phone.

Almost total visual control.

Now imagine adding personal cellphones and other wirelessly connected cameras to the system, which people would voluntarily provide (to do their part), and with individual presence/location technology via RFID, IP address or biometrics built into our clothing and gadgets, and readers/receivers built right into the infrastructure -- anyone could know where anyone else it and get live video and audio too.

Spooky future ahead.

My brother in law actually believes that if privacy was eliminated and we had a total surveillance state, that the novelty of watching your neighbours in the shower would ulimately wear off and nobody would actually bother spying on anyone else anymore. Not an experiment I'd like to try!

I guess privacy is like freedom: you either want it or you don't and you sure as hell don't need to justify the "why you want it".

Yes, he is nuts in that sense. He's also of the belief that a benevolent dictator could be a good thing! Some people just don't grasp the principle of freedom.

On the porn thing, though, I hear anecdotal stuff from younguns that "porn is no big deal", and that many just don't care because it's so ubiquitous. Not a good direction for society to go, IMO, but as usual, I'll put that blame and onus on the parents.

I don't know about you but we all have private personal moments. When I do the number 2 my wife has to wait out side the door of the bathroom even if she wants something from the closet or cabinet and if its an emergency I make sure I'm not wiping while she is grabbing somthing real quick. (TMI) yes but we all do the number 2.   Anyway, the point is that even married people don't share everything private personal things. I'm not around when she takes care of the lady stuff and I don't want to see that. That being said. There is a to reason keep certain things private and People and othe STATE better stay out of our business. I have my reasons to want privacy.

This is nothing more that an End Game Termination grid. A virutal SimCity God control. Just imagine some young PsychoPathic punk being ordered to take out some one. He follows his target using a real time system like this that has not only viewer access but controller access. The operator can click on ptech interoperablity backdoor engineered networked systems that controls objects or machinery that can kill people. ie Elevators, electronic doors, transit systems, x-ray systems that can boost their output and harmed after repeated exposer ect. Explosive charges on air planes emergency doors that can be activated at 30 thousand feet. Use your imagination.

Weird stuff.. it's right there in your face too. Wonder why Youtube allows that but takes down real new articles intended to bring truth and open minds. Guess because it's easier to keep them asleep why sex and nice breasts... blah.

A truly benevolent dictator or King could be a good thing - but how do you insure that he really is benevolent before you put him in power, and how do you keep him benevolent once he's in power and doesn't have to worry about elections?

Porn may be "no big deal"  for kids today because they have easier access to sex than earlier generations did.

A "truly one" would be something like a steadfast republic on steroids. If we had a set of laws, like no more than ten -- and easy enough for everyone to understand -- then a benevolent dictator would no more than enforce the rigid but focussed law... but then he wouldn't be a dictator after all. We need a new global charter where we the people declare a state of Live & Let Live! (American patriots excluded because they're already on the job). And we get back to building small, independent communities and towns.

Down with one size fits all. Down with global streamlining of products and thought!
