The usual sites that watch what you type and record it in their database yahoo, google, ect., have software that allows them to control you. Startpage.com is a third party site that doesn't recored your ip address and is non-recording. Down with Big Brother!

I've tried Start Page.. It's ok I guess.. I don't trust their privacy claims though.. Besides we are being spied on directly through our internet providers anyway.
I do understand the privacy issues raised but I get no where as many links on startpage as I do google when I search.
Trust me it doesn't matter what search engine you are using.. Big Brother is watching.
Personally as a law abiding citizen I say f**k big brother.. I got nothing to hide. Let them spy all they want.

And your opinion is appreciated and your entitled to it. However to block the service providers from seeing where your going just use a proxy site . They will see you used on of those but youll hide your ip destination . Also good to CClean your system often.

Wow! And I like your opinion - but having that same opinion got me almost hung, drawn and quartered on a well know Christian board a few years ago.
Have changed views slightly since then, as it has been pointed out to me that it may seem innocent enough, and what harm can it do if you're not doing anything wrong... but, it is the drip, drip, slowly but surely approach of oppressive Government / big brother that is most lethal. All of a sudden we will wake up and wonder where all of our freedoms went.
