someone explain i remember hearing something about this then i went and checked it out, didn't find any info on yahoo. then i checked it out on youtube and this what i found. the i remembered hearing that they turn the mars photo's red to make sure we are ignorant to the fact that mars looks just like our plannet soppsedely with structures, water, and even vegitation!!

Note: Our own moon can appear red, blue, or yellow under certain specific conditions. It would be good to see some reconciliation between what we would observe and what it really looks like.

I watched and interview with Dr Steven Greer the head of The Disclosure Project not to long ago where he mentions Mars and how NASA has been hiding archeological proof of former intelligent life on Mars because of the massive disruptive impact it would have on world religions and culture.

It is only a matter of time till these things come out though. With other countries now running space programs it seems unlikely they will all hide what they find.

What did they do, refilter it? And the reason it looks that way is probably because the photos were taken out in the Australian desert, lol.

I'ts reddish indeed but not as orange as NASA wants you to believe in the orange pictures they show you.

I agree that some of my pictures maybe need some more red in it but certainly NASA put a orange filter over their pictures that has been proven now by their own color samples.

But some of them hardly change (If youve seen my complete slideshow) which shows that sometimes they slip up some photos

They just didn't know at that time that we would have Photoshop on our computers.

This reminds me of that internet hoax going around saying that Mars will be at its closest approach to earth this year and will appear much larger than normal.  I keep getting that email from folks who know that I am an amateur astronomer.  I keep sending back telling them that the closest approach to earth by mars was a couple of years ago and I viewed it in my scope.  Even with my scope there was very little difference as you would need a fairly large scope to tell.  I am viewing with an 130 mm reflector.

um, no, the article was an op ed piece written by the author of the book/movie, he was an AUTHOR, not the government or the elite, just a guy with an imagination.
 Mars looks different depending on when your looking at it, what type of camera your using, what type of lense, what time of day it is there, what season, what weather conditions are, etc. It's surface is a bluish basalt with a covering of oxidized dust on it, which combine to give it its red/blue apearence

lol, I know what you mean. I was astounded at how many people tried to tell me mars would look as big as the full moon. I tried to picture the orbit of mars that would have to take shape in order for this to happen.....I then tried to describe this hypothetical orbit to them, for most, it was more than enough to make them re think what they believed themselves.

Why would the atmosphere be blue? It should be yellowish, no? With CO2 and nitrogen present, and little in the way of oxygen. And we know this because we have spectroscophy, no one can fake that, right?

And why are the stones on the retouched pictures blue? I mean, some of the originals do seem suspicious, but please explain these discrepancies, if you believe that Mars looks different on the pictures.
