I was reading about this earlier today. Apparently the whole of Australia is served by 1 gateway, which borked, shutting off the whole of Australia. Only for an hour or so though.

so, what's the follow-up on this story?

Is AUSTRALIA now on military-industrial Internet2 all through or was this just a single-if-large-isp downtime issue, i.e. storm in a teacup?

This guy seems quite credible anyway,
i don't doubt they can pull everyones net and keep their own.
Wonder if it'll happen somewheres next, maybe the underground cables never got cut
a whiles back and it was just the same thing?
