What: One million sq. ft. underground facility Where: Anacostia, Washington D.C. When: Construction early 2010-early/mid 2012 Why: That's the million dollar question Who: Our gov't, don't know what part How: Excavation from side of mound
Satellite locating is simple. Go to Rt. 295/Suitland Pkwy. intersection (overpass). With N pointing up, the woodline under the apartment complex (south of the overpass) is one side of the mound. Structures on top of facility and entire apartment complex are likely to be demolished. Not certain this side will be construction entrance but am assuming. Recently told our local shopping mall is close to that square footage so I'm convinced it's purpose is of a massive scale. Obviously not the typical off-the-beaten-path area for a facility, but nowhere in D.C. is. Multiple levels with top level not far from surface. Entrance visible will not exceed two stories. Inside will be split into corrodores, that large of a wide open space would not support the weight above. The budget for concrete alone is approximately eighty million dollars, while total cost is estimated to be between six and seven hundred million dollars. One company recommended a more efficient excavation from above, government rejected and want it from the side, assuming satellite photograph leaks to be the reason.
This is all I know thus far. I do not presume to know it's purpose. We've had plenty of places for years for continuity of government (probably many more we still don't know about), so future "civilian" detainment is my best guess for the moment. Not a 12-21-12 "freak", but do think the elite know something we don't. Whether it's astronomical, spiritual, environmental, or economical-something is happening. In my opinion, the timing of the facility's completion is not a coincedence. I do have many things to do with my time, this is not nonsense. Comments and questions very welcome.
If this is my only post, I was paid a visit. Long live liberty and our republic. Long live truth.

So, what's your connection? (Can you tell us)? We (or I) am curious ... How sure are you that it isn't for an underground mall for the sheeple to buy more junk that they can't pay for

This is my first real world and up-close experience with something like this and am a little nervous. It's my opinion these forums are monitored by those not wanting us to know things. My source is certain it is not a mall, office building, or anything close to what's currently available to us. He only disclosed the information after I was trying to open his eyes to a few things and we've known eachother for some time. Sheeple, that's a new one

May be one of their happy handjob storage bunkers to store their supplies for when they unleash hell on the population.

I'm not guessing on what's going. Surprised this thread didn't blow up. Everyone's also speculating and dying to know where everything is if it even exists in the first place and I'm telling people flat out about a massive underground installation going to be built with two people interested in it. I guess these stories are becoming wore out.

Well, speaking for myself, I've seen photographs and satellite photos of these types of things before, and it's fairly clear the Government has an obsession with maintaining their power through any diaster or calamity. Not much else there is to say on it really... underground megacomplex made of concrete contracted by the Government for unknown reasons. You wrote "that's all I know" so until someone else comes along with further information it's just something to ponder. What agencies involved would give a clue, but I'm sure they protect that from being known.

Additional information. According to a source aware of this project, the govenment's story thus far is that it will be a coast guard facility. One million sq. ft. underground doesn't scream coast guard to me, we'll just have to wait and see. Chemicalrain, I agree, just something to ponder. Will keep all informed as well as I can as things progress.

Anacostia, Washington D.C. is a stone's throw away from the Coast Guard headquarters in Washington D.C. Plausible location for such a complex if those are it's backers, but it's description is peculiar.

Yeah everything in D.C. is a stones throw away from everything really. Have been by the c.g. headquarters more time than I can count. The magnitude and extreme cost of this underground facility just doesn't fit the bill. It may very well be regular old ordinary c.g. expansion, I just wouldn't put my money on it. We'll find out soon enough, hopefully.

" Ah. lol. Well I'm the one not willing to post my friend's first or last name over the internet. He/she is not in gov't, he/she is employed by a large construction company involved in the plans and he/she has seen them and taken part in it. Everyone signed secrecy paperwork so I'm not ever going to jeopardize his/her security....and job security for that matter. I live within a 50 mi. radius of the site so I'm going to do my best to take pics when construction begins and as it progresses.

LOL. No. Again, I don't presume to know what it will be for, just that I agree with the owner of the construction company in that the homeland security's claim that it's for a coast guard headquarters is absolute nonsense.

~ Underground Bases and Tunnels ~http://www.projectcamelot.org/underground_bases.html Photo of United States Air Force tunnel boring machine at Little Skull Mountain, Nevada, USA, December 1982. There are many rumors of secret military tunnels in the United States. If the rumors are true, machines such as the one shown here are used to make the tunnels. (Source: U.S. Department of Energy.) ~~~~~ O ~~~~~ Interesting Web-Sites: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol_underground01a.htmhttp://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol_underground01g.htmhttp://www.mt.net/~watcher/ufounder.htmlhttp://www.angelfire.com/ut/branton/Trans-Planetary.html~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.rand.org/pubs/papers/P6092/ Trans-planetary subway systems: a burgeoning capabilityBy: Robert M. Salter Describes a subway concept called "Planetran" comprising electromagnetically supported and propelled cars traveling in underground evacuated tubes, able to cross the United States in one hour. It is designed to interface with local transit systems, and the tunnel complex also contains utility transmission and auxiliary freight-carrying systems. Tunnels represent a major problem area and most of the cost. They will be placed several hundred feet underground in solid rock formations. It will require advanced tunnel-boring machines, such as hypersonic projectile spallation, laser beam devices, and the "Subterrene" heated tungsten probe that melts through igneous rocks. Planetran is rated as a system high in conservation of energy. For every car being accelerated, there is one decelerating in an adjoining tube. The decelerating cars return energy to the system. The tubes have a reduced atmosphere, making drag losses much smaller than for aircraft. Coast-to-coast energy costs are expected to be less than $1.00 per passenger. A Rand Corporation Publication

LOL, man I'm sure there are. I've heard theories of high-speed train systems and everything else. I've never been privy to credible info on a personal level like this so I thought I'd post it. Not to mention it's fairly large scale and the timing of it when it seems anything is possible. Before someone got to him, Glenn Beck tried to spread the word on the whole FEMA Camp issue and stated on TV that there is a "standing battalion" in MD that was not the coast guard or any part of the military. My head's just going with all kinds of possibilities but not drawing any conclusions. We shall see in about 6 mos. Thx for the subway systems info by the way!

Just an update...actual size is 1.1 million sq. ft., the builder's name is "Clark Construction", and the design is a little different than what I summized from what I was originally told. Have come across a couple more people aware of it's construction. Admittedly, I've learned my location is a little off but not much. Will have new info regarding design and specs soon...if anyone believes this.

That doesn't do any good for something entirely new until the next round of aerial photos are taken.

It shows that it was built (OP provided for greater credibility) and what was on the site before ( maybe a smaller federal facility) and the surrounding buildings( are they involved also and hidden in plain site)...but very good point.

Per my initial post, construction does not start until early 2010. Pics won't be of use until that starts but I do intend on zeroing in on the location and satellite coords as soon I'm sure that I'm 100% accurate and exact with them. I also intend on taking a few pics when it gets started.

Take some pics of the location and aerial views of where you believe it will be now, that way you can take shots for comparison after like the poster above was saying. You don't have to make your pics public yet, just in case you are wrong on the location.

Well, it's official...the underground facility totalling 1.1 million sq. ft. consisting of elevator shafts, a bunker, and multiple exit corridores is an emergency bunker that will be nine stories underneath the new Homeland Security Headquarters. The buildings that were to be demolished are all part of the St. Elizabeths Psychiatric Hospital, federally owned land for over a hundred years.
Something just hit me. What we used to find out about after decades of hearsay and naysay, now we find out about it before the thing's even built. Kinda funny. I'll be happy to answer any further relevant questions if I'm privy to the info.

REMEMBER THE OLD Y2K SCENE? BACK IN LOS ANGELES AND OTHER MAJOR CITIES THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BUILT A.T.S.A.C(AUTOMATED TRASPORTATION SECURITY AND CONTROL)UNDERGROUND IN CASE MAJOR FOOD RIOTS OR OTHER CHAOS SHOULD ENSUE. IT COULD HAVE JUST BEEN A DRESS REHEARSAL FOR WHAT IS TO COME SOON. THIS NEW FACILITY IS PROBABLY JUST AN ADD-ON. THE OLD FACILITIES ARE PROBABLY STILL BEING USED FOR ONE THING OR ANOTHER!!!!
