That's why predictions of runaway hyperinflation may be overblown, since the Fed's inflationary injection of all this new debt-money is obviously being offset to a significant degree by both a deflationary drop in consumer spending (decreased money velocity) and a deflationary wave of bankruptcies and foreclosures (decreased collateral backing).
