And here:http://recessionreadyamerica.com/2009/08/nazi-programs-showing-up/

In the wake of rising unemployment a new Gestapo-like safe neighborhood program has started showing up across the country. Turn in your neighbor for MONEY. For my sake I’ve removed the information of which city I am from, but this is a NATIONAL program. Are these the so called job’s we were promised last year?

According to the programs website: http://wetip.com Informers can earn up to $1000 dollars for each confirmed conviction. The service boasts complete anonymity however I’m not sure how you collect the check if they don’t know who you are.

The Core Values That Have Formed WeTip’s Foundation Include:
    • Neutral Third Party Organization created by Citizens for Citizens
    • Total Anonymity of the informant with no exceptions
    • Live operators staffing the phone, never an answering machine or answering service
    • Continuous service around the clock, 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year
    • Non-Jurisdictional hotline service, regardless of city, county or state lines
    • Sending multiple crime tips to all concerned local, state, federal and allied international law enforcement agencies

“We, the management and Board of Directors of WeTip Inc., here set forth our belief as to the purpose for which this 501 (C)(3), Non-profit Corporation is established and the principles under which it should operate.” Because they are a private business they are not bound by the restrictions of constitutional law that our law enforcement agents are.

In order to gain perspective we need to look back only to the year 1936:

The merger of the SS and Gestapo effectively removed it from the oversight of Frick, who as interior minister would have normally been Himmler’s superior. However, Himmler and the SS, as mentioned above, were responsible only to Hitler. The Gestapo had the authority to investigate treason, espionage and sabotage cases, and cases of criminal attacks on the Nazi Party and Germany. The basic Gestapo law passed by the government in 1936 gave the Gestapo carte blanche to operate without judicial oversight. The Gestapo was specifically exempted from responsibility to administrative courts, where citizens normally could sue the state to conform to laws.

Contrary to popular belief, the Gestapo was not an omnipotent agency that had agents in every nook and cranny of German society. V-men”, as undercover Gestapo agents were known, were used to infiltrate Social Democratic and Communist opposition groups. However 80% of all Gestapo investigations were started in response to information provided by denunciations by “ordinary” Germans.

Robert Gellately of Florida State University had written about the Gestapo in his book, The Gestapo and German Society: Enforcing Racial Policy.

“There were relatively few secret police, and most were just processing the information coming in. I had found a shocking fact. It wasn’t the secret police who were doing this wide-scale surveillance and hiding on every street corner. It was the ordinary German people who were informing on their neighbors.”

The problem with an anonymous informant program that offers payment for incentive in a era of widespread unemployment and inflation is very obvious. In Nazi Germany most of the denunciations were acquired through fear, which is an equally illogical way of getting information from the public.

As he was uncovering who was acting as the Gestapo’s unsolicited agents, he also began to discern what motivated neighbor to inform on neighbor. The surviving myth told the story of informers who were motivated either by a commitment to the Third Reich or by a fear of authority.

But the motives Gellately found were banal—greed, jealousy, and petty differences.

He found cases of partners in business turning in associates to gain full ownership; jealous boyfriends informing on rival suitors; neighbors betraying entire families who chronically left shared bathrooms unclean or who occupied desirable apartments.

And then there were those who informed because for the first time in their lives someone in authority would listen to them and value what they said.

If one were foolish enough to speak out against the Nazi party or tell an anti-Nazi joke, he or she could expect to be arrested, interrogated and executed that very night.

This is what makes programs like this troubling. Today you will have no way of defending yourself against anonymous accusers. And will their testimonies be available for use in the courts? The constitution states that every citizen has right to trial by jury of your peers, not a private tribunal or website tip line for that matter. It’s time that American’s realize that we no longer has a constitution. The National Socialist Party has taken over and we live in Nazi Germany. In the eleventh hour the time for silence is past. Speak out now or forever hold your peace.

If you don’t agree with this lets get it shut down!
To be persuasive, we must be believable,
To be believable, we must be credible,
To be credible, we must be truthful.

Just wait for the upgrade... soon people will have little GPS transmitters they can place at the homes of suspect neighbors... the US is doing this in Pakistan...

..." 'Transmitters make a lot of sense to me. It is simply not possible to train a Pashtun from Waziristan to go to a targeted site, case it, and come back to Peshawar or Islamabad with anything like an accurate report. The best you can hope for is they’re putting the transmitter on the right house,” says former CIA case officer Robert Baer.

Herndon, Virginia-based defense contractor EWA Government Systems, Inc. is one of several firms that boasts of making tiny devices to help manhunters locate their prey. The company’s “Bigfoot Remote Tagging System” is a “very small, battery-operated device used to emit an RF [radio frequency] transmission [so] that the target can be located and/or tracked.”

The tag has sophisticated power management features to allow use over a long period of time (months)… Each tag can be installed on a witting or unwitting person, material, vehicle, ship, etc. Power is supplied by installed battery or host power source. The tag can be augmented with GPS to allow data logging for later exfiltration or geo-fencing functions (on/off when inside defined geographic boundaries). Bigfoot provides the warfighter with real-time tracking intelligence on potential adversaries conducting threat activities.

Word of these tiny transmitters has been circulating in militant circles for months. In early April, the Pakistani Taliban leader Mullah Nazir said he had caught “spies” who were inserting into militants’ phones “location-tracking SIMs” — Subscriber Identity Module cards, used to identify mobile devices on a cellular network.

Ten days later, 19 year-old Habibur Rehman made a videotaped “confession” of planting such devices, just before he was executed by the Taliban as an American spy. “I was given $122 to drop chips wrapped in cigarette paper at Al Qaeda and Taliban houses,” he said. If I was successful, I was told, I would be given thousands of dollars.”"..."

Now as more people lose their jobs, their homes - they need money and will do whatever it takes to get it.. perhaps including turning in their neighbors, even innocent neighbors who may have pissed them off by not mowing their lawn enough, or by making too much noise... or maybe being too 'different' - pick a group.

"He that would make his own liberty secure must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself."

~ Thomas Paine, A Dissertation on the First Principles of Government, 1795

FBI Wants Its Own Stasi
Proposes building network of US informants
Infowars.net | July 26, 2007
Steve Watson[/center]

In a move startlingly similar to that of the East German government during the Cold war, the FBI wants to recruit thousands of covert informants in the US and work with the CIA to train them in an effort to expand and adopt more aggressive intelligence capabilities. ABC's The Blotter reports that according to a recent unclassified report to Congress, the FBI, driven by a 2004 directive from President Bush, wants to recruit more than 15,000 informants in the US, entailing a complete overhaul of its database systems at a cost of around $22 million. The FBI expects its informants to provide secrets about possible terrorists and foreign spies, although some may also be expected to aid with criminal investigations, in the tradition of law enforcement confidential informants. The FBI did not respond to requests for comment on this story. The move comes in addition to other proposals to expand the collection and analysis of data on U.S. persons , retain years' worth of Americans' phone records and even increase so-called "black bag" secret entry operations, the Blotter reports. Though the FBI has decided not to completely adopt CIA training methods on recruiting informants, which include bribery, extortion, and other patently illegal acts, the two are to work closely together on the program. Though the reasoning is, as ever, to target terror cells in the US, the report also states that "some may also be expected to aid with criminal investigations, in the tradition of law enforcement confidential informants". Within the last two years it has come to light that the FBI, along with the Pentagon and the NSA has been spying on antiwar activists, rights groups and peace campaigners within the US, labeling some of them as "terrorists" and placing them within their databases.

It appears operations are now to be stepped up to include the Stasi like recruiting of informants within such groups to report what is deemed to be politically subversive behavior among American citizens. In 2004 the ACLU revealed that after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 sparked the Bush administration's “war on terrorism,” Attorney General John Ashcroft scrapped an FBI guideline—enacted after the agency infiltrated numerous groups during the 1960s and 1970s Civil Rights Movement—that blocked its agents from spying on groups and individuals unless they were investigating a crime. By scrapping that policy, Gen. Ashcroft was, “essentially encouraging FBI agents to do fishing expeditions to spy in mosques, in anti-war meetings ... without any reasonable suspicion that a crime was being committed,” ACLU attorney Ben Wizner said.In late 2005 lawmakers expressed concern that the FBI was aggressively pushing the powers of the anti-terrorist USA Patriot Act to get access to private phone and financial records of ordinary people.

Around the same time it was revealed that the Bush administration had secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on Americans and others inside the United States to search for evidence of terrorist activity without [obtaining] court-approved warrants. Though this was dubbed by the corporate mainstream media to be "a major shift in American intelligence-gathering practices", eavesdropping on citizens is nothing new, the only shift that has occurred is that the government can now TELL us that they're spying on us and it will slowly be accepted. If the mainstream media is to be believed, the National Security Agency engages in “some eavesdropping inside the country,” There are hundreds of sources that prove however that the intelligence services have been operating similar programs for decades. The FBI itself has been targeting domestic groups since its inception, the most notorious example being Hoover's COINTELPRO (Counter-Intelligence Program) which covertly spied on all manner of organizations and individuals from Dr. Martin Luther King to the National Lawyers Guild .
Operation CHAOS under the CIA highlights another example of domestic spying:

“In June 1970 Nixon met with Hoover [FBI], Helms [CIA], NSA Director Admiral Noel Gaylor, and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) representative Lt. Gen. Donald V. Bennett and told them he wanted a coordinated and concentrated effort against domestic dissenters,” Verne Lyon - former CIA undercover operative . For over fifteen years, the CIA, with assistance from numerous government agencies, conducted a massive illegal domestic covert operation called Operation CHAOS. It was one of the largest and most pervasive domestic surveillance programs in the history of this country. Throughout the duration of CHAOS, the CIA spied on thousands of U.S. citizens. The CIA went to great lengths to conceal this operation from the public while every president from Eisenhower to Nixon exploited CHAOS for his own political ends."

White House says spying broader than known: report

Reuters | August 1, 2007
The Bush administration’s top intelligence official has acknowledged that a controversial domestic surveillance program was only one part of a much broader spying effort, The Washington Post reported in its Wednesday edition.Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell wrote in a letter that other aspects of the National Security Agency’s domestic spying program remain classified, the Post said.“That is the only aspect of the NSA activities that can be discussed publicly because it is the only aspect of those various activities whose existence has been officially acknowledged,” McConnell wrote, according to the Post.Bush acknowledged the existence of a program that monitored domestic phone calls and e-mails without court oversight in December 2005. The administration has not confirmed other secret spying efforts reported by news outlets, such as one that searched millions of telephone records.Bush signed an executive order that authorized “a number of … intelligence activities” following the hijacking attacks of September 11, 2001, McConnell wrote.

The warrantless wiretapping program was put under court supervision in January but the administration now wants Congress to allow it to do many of the same activities without a court order. The letter was sent on Tuesday to Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee. The letter was written to defend Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who has been under attack over his testimony to Congress about the warrantless spying program, the Post said.

And some say that CoIntelPro was disbanned after the Church Commission, but look at what happened in 2002:

COINTELPRO's overdue return
The new FBI will be able to investigate Americans who pose a threat to national security -- and that's a good thing.

By David Horowitz [piece of f**king shit!] 2002/06/04

While Muslim terrorists penetrate our borders with surface-to-air missiles and make every air traveler a potential target, and while INS screw-ups show daily that we have no borders and no real ability to keep any of our enemies out, a surreal battle is taking place within the ranks of our hostage population itself. The debate is whether Attorney General John Ashcroft and the FBI should have given agents license to keep an eye on suspected terrorists and their ideological supporters if they have not yet blown up a plane.

The trigger of the debate is the recent decision of the Justice Department to remove restrictions it imposed on itself in 1972 that prevent the agency from spying on organizations that have not yet committed an actual crime. A chorus of so-called civil rights groups has already attacked the decision -- which involves no change in the law and no endorsement of illegal behavior -- as though it were an attack on the Constitution itself.

The 1972 restrictions were adopted by the FBI in the face of an assault on its practices by the political left. The issue was the FBI's "COINTELPRO," an effort to counter massive civil disobedience and the growing threat from quasi-military radical groups who had gone from demonizing America to planting more than 1,000 bombs, committing acts of military sabotage and killing at least one innocent math professor in their campaign against the Vietnam War.

While lighting the fires of war on the homefront as a protest against the war abroad, the political left succeeded in making the FBI the villain. Of all the groups targeted by the FBI's COINTEL program, the one most often held up as an example of American injustice was the Black Panther party. Plots and alleged acts of political "repression" against the Panthers became the prime justifications for clipping the FBI's wings.

In fact, the Panthers were a heavily armed group prone to violence against their own members and others. One of their leaders, Elaine Brown, boasted they had more than 1,000 weapons including rocket launchers and machine guns. But since the Panthers were a "political" party, and since a vast fellow-traveling cadre of left-wing lawyers and civil rights groups abetted by a willing press was ready to see them as victims rather than perpetrators, the FBI was effectively neutralized and the Panthers continued on their radical course.

The 1972 restrictions, which barred the FBI from infiltrating the Panthers and acting to prevent violence before it occurred, made the task of controlling them much greater. With the restrictions in place, the Panthers were able to murder more than a dozen people -- mostly black -- in the 1970s including my friend Betty Van Patter who was bludgeoned to death in 1974. No one was ever prosecuted for these crimes.

In 1969 a group of SDS New Leftists created the Weather Underground, America's first terrorist cult. The Weathermen made very obvious their anti-American jihad. They issued a declaration of war against "Amerikkka" and began a campaign of violence that included detonating a bomb in the U.S. Capitol building in 1971. In 1970, three of their leaders were blown up while building a nail bomb, which they intended to set off at a dance at Fort Dix, in New Jersey.

The FBI knew the names of every leader of the Weathermen and most of its members. But the FBI -- even prior to its self-imposed restrictions -- was unable to penetrate the leftist networks that protected and supported the terrorist cadre, and the government was never able to apprehend them. Luckily, the Weathermen did not have Stinger missiles, anthrax caches or suitcase nuclear devices to make their mayhem really impressive. The FBI's new mission -- to stop domestic terrorism before it happens -- is difficult enough. We should applaud any bureaucratic effort to make that job easier.

All Americans who care for their own lives or the lives of their families and neighbors, both leftists and conservatives alike, should join in praising John Ashcroft for taking these minimal -- but politically difficult -- steps to defend their homeland. The FBI could not stop the Weathermen and the Panthers in part because the bureau did not take the threat these groups posed seriously enough. They were also hampered by the charge of "McCarthyism," the label the left used to tar all government attempts to curtail Communists who were loyal to the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

The government now understands, presumably, the threat that radical Muslim and Arab terrorists present to this country. Giving them the means to control this threat, to infiltrate and surveil groups whose agendas set them at war with the United States, is common sense.

It would have been better if the FBI had announced that it was specifically targeting mosques where radical Islamic doctrines are preached, instead of churches, synagogues and mosques in general. This blanket approach was obviously adopted to make the agency less vulnerable to attacks from the vocal fellow travelers of the civil-rights left.

But the fact remains, according to Steve Emerson's "American Jihad," that 80 percent of America's mosques are funded by the Saudis, who also fund al-Qaida worldwide, along with the suicide bombers in the Middle East. The leader of the first bomb attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, whose aim was to kill 250,000 people, was a blind sheik who operated out of his own mosque. The radical lawyer representing the now imprisoned blind sheik is under indictment by Justice for allegedly helping the prisoner communicate with his terrorist cohorts in the conduct of their violence in the Middle East. The lawyer -- Lynne Stewart -- is a well-known radical "civil rights lawyer" and former attorney for the Weather Underground terrorists. She is currently also representing three pro-Palestinian teenagers charged with a hate crime for attempting to firebomb an orthodox synagogue in New York as a "protest" against Israel's attempts to defend itself in the Middle East.

Both Stewart's attorneys are radical lawyers who have defended terrorist bombers whose targets were Americans. One of them, Susan Tipograph, was the prime suspect in the escape of a Puerto Rican terrorist from an American prison. Stewart's colleague in defending the teen terrorists, Stanley Cohen, is a lawyer and political advocate for Hamas and a disciple of another Stewart colleague, William Kunstler, whose Center for Constitutional Rights is a front for left-wing extremists intent on carrying on their own war with America. As an editor for the New Left magazine Ramparts, I remember being visited in 1969 by Arthur Kinoy, who with Kunstler was co-founder of the Center for Constitutional Rights. Kinoy was carrying with him a draft manifesto for a new "Communist Party" (those were the words in the document), which he intended to organize with Kunstler. The agendas of the hard left never really change. Support for America's enemies then; support for America's terrorist enemies now.

Following the Ashcroft announcement, I was a guest on Sean Hannity's radio show opposite Francis Boyle, professor of international law at Illinois University and self-proclaimed "civil liberties" activist. Professor Boyle went swiftly on the offensive. The removal by the FBI of its own self-imposed restrictions was an assault, he said, on the First and Fourth Amendments -- although no one's free speech was in danger and no search and seizure was proposed. Boyle was concerned, he said, about the liberties that made America what it was.

Or was he? Francis Boyle is a legal advisor to the terrorist PLO and the terrorist Palestine Authority. His agenda in the Middle East, laid out in the pro-Palestinian Internet magazine Counterpunch, is "dismantling [the] criminal apartheid regime" in Israel! In fact, Boyle is a supporter of the anti-Israel disinvestment movement and compares the liberation struggle against Israel to the liberation struggle against South Africa. The destruction of Israel doesn't phase Boyle at all. But then Boyle sees the present Republic of South Africa, which has tragically become the rape, murder and AIDS capital of the world, as "a beacon of hope" for mankind.

While many people in the civil rights business are genuine liberals, others are people who sympathize with terrorists like the Panthers and the Weathermen, and now Hamas and al-Qaida. This should be a warning to all Americans who care about their country. It is not only that we have to take the threat to our homeland more seriously. We have to become more sophisticated about the threat we face.

Anything to increase the incarceration rate! After all, corporate profits are more important than human dignity, morality, and old-fashioned and inconvenient notions like truth, justice, fairness, etc.  ???

And so another chapter from Nazi germany becomes reality once again. The similarities are too much to be coincidence.

And the solution?

Simple.

Organie neighborhood watch type organizations of your own.

TALK to your neighbors.

Phase1: Emergency preparedness/Crime Watch type organization offering free Red Cross/emergency response/first aid/disaster preparedness training to residents.
Phase2: Neighborhood Defense Force offering free rifle marksmanship/emergency response/counter terrorism/homeland defense trainign to LOCAL RESIDENTS.

This will help to create tighter knit local patriot communities which is the CURE for 'stasi-gestapo' type organisations.

Find and join your local CERT group. Fill it with patriots.

Think ahead. Do not wring your hands, put those hands to work!
