when you look at a person from the age of 12-19 they most likely will be chewing gum. As i am rarely found with out a stick. Well one day i was standing a long line and read the nutrition facts about the gum. It had aspartame in it. I was shocked. I was at store target and went over and grabbed every brand gum. Everything from extra to Trident. They all had Aspartame and a few brands of trident and florid in it.


I started chewing gum in the past few months and had NEVER had a cavity. I don't care much for soda or sweets. I brush for 3 mine very day 2x and use mouth wash. I have always had good teeth. but i started chewing the Trident extra care. It gave me fresher breath and claimed to make your teeth heather. I started chewing the gum about 2 weeks after my last dentist visit. And in the 6 month period I got 3 cavities. My dentist said they where very bad an asked if i stop brushing. She was serous too. She said It looks like i haven't brushed in a month. They where white but damaged.


Funny how i get my first 3 cavities who where very severe the same time i start chewing a new brand of bum isn't it? I am never going to chew gum again because it has poison (Aspartame and Floride) and it doesn't even help your teeth.

when you chew gum your body makes saliva and we tent to swallow that saliva and what is in the saliva? Aspartame and Florid . look ad a box of rat poison most have aspartame or Florid.

I challenge you to go to the store look at your favorite brand of gum.

I was also shocked to learn this. I don't chew gum much, but went to buy some a couple of months back, and could not find any gum that did not contain aspartame poison! I was even more shocked to see that many of them contain sugar & aspartame. I sent an email to Wrigleys gum at that time asking why they are adding this poison to all the gum products, especially if the gum already contains sugar. They responded that they add aspartame because it "makes the flavor last longer". I think more people need to start complaining and stop buying this poison. Hopefully if the gum companies receive enough complaints they will stop adding this cr@p. I did find one gum however that does not contain aspartame and it is: Dubble Bubble.

This one just hit me too - I'd never even thought about it until two weeks ago, even though I've avoided aspathame all my life. The bastards got me with the gum! Damn!

Yup.  Wrigley reformulated a bunch of their gums that only used to have sugar in them.  Now they have aspartame too!  So its not just the sugar-free gum anymore, its all of it!

I'm willing to bet that Joe Bazooka is still aspartame free.  Or the gum that goes in Topps baseball cards.

I think you're right about the regular version of Bazooka gum still being aspartame free. However, there is a "new and improved" sugarless version that contains the following ingredients:
