Hey, I was wondering if we could compile a list of past Alex Jones Show guests.  I know there is an archive section on infowars.com, but navigating through that to find a specific guest years ago.... well, if you've ever tried to do it, you know what I'm talking about.  Without a date, or the person's correctly spelled name, it's not easy.

What I'm suggesting is perhaps on an official AJ website, or maybe on a new one that a listener could whip up, having the alphabet listed on a page.  You can click on the letter of the guests first name (or last, whatever).  You'll get a page of past guests with that letter in their first name, and you can scan for the guest you are looking for.  If you find the guest and click on their name, you'll get their name, website, a short description of who they are and what they do, and maybe, if we get enough information, a bunch of dates that they were found to be guests on the AJ show.  This would be VERY beneficial if, say, you remember the name of a guest from 2002, but don't remember their website, or exactly WHEN they were on the show.

Of course, this can only be done if people want to try and add to the project.  No one person has all the information to complete this work, save maybe AJ and his staff.  I'm sure they're busy doing other things, so maybe this could be a project for the listeners to delve into?  Research is important right?  Why not make the past guests as accessible as possible?  Who knows?  Maybe a past guest is doing something even Alex might be interested in finding out about now.  A lot of people might be just starting to listen to the show now, and have had no idea that Alex interviewed an extremely important guest years ago, missing the opportunity to hear the interview.  That listener could at least go to the website of that guest from the list and learn something important, or at least be aware of when Alex had the guest on, and can do more research about that guest.

If it's not obvious to you yet, I am trying to get people started into researching things for themselves, while providing what I think is a useful service to the infowar community.  This goes for guests most of us admire, like Ron Paul and Jesse Benton, and others... like one of the Rothschilds.  heh  We shouldn't discriminate.  A guest is a guest.

Anyone want to be the leader here and take on this project as a leader?  I'd sure like to have a massive list of past guests at my fingertips.  Want to do this together?

Thanks for listening to me.

You can get recent show summaries from http://alexjonespodcasts.com

Not sure if they keep a log of old ones though.

Good idea on the guest list...I guess, Alex could get Aaron or somebody to keep a running roster?

Good idea...there must already be a list...right?

I think AJ said he's done about 10,000 interviews...not counting callers.  It's not impossible, but I hope somebody kept a record!  WOW what a job to make a list!

If anyone finds a list...a complete or nearly complete list...please notify us here, in this topic.  If I find a list,  I will put a link here.

NOBODY has found ANYTHING resembling a list?

I just heard AJ mention the audio archives of interviews that bgo back at least a few years.  I am going to see if I can get a list there.  If I do , I'll either post a link here or ma;e a database and submit it to the webmaster to make it available.

Yup, we might have to go ahead and gather and organize this information ourselves.  No problem!  Take a look at the C2C past guest site.  It was actually Art Bell's original website (now gone) that gave me the idea to do this.  Something like that is what I'm thinking of:

http://www.coasttocoastam.com/guests/

The date that the guest was on the show is mentioned, a small paragraph about that guest, link to their website (if applicable), and their full name.  Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, or Borders links can be added if the guest also has a book that might benefit people.  This doesn't have to be anything fancy, just informative and hopefully a great way to introduce people to the knowledge of past guests.

I'm going to collect this information starting with today's show from now on, while I'm looking at getting the information from the past thousands of shows Alex has done.  I can't guarantee that I won't miss a day, but then there are the archives on infowars.com that are *somewhat* complete.

Thank you AlexStratus for looking into this!

On another note while we're at it, it wouldn't be much of a burden to add descriptions to the AJ podcasts that we can get every day.  Say there's a page of podcasts for the AJ show, the folder being the year of those podcasts.  Why not name the podcasts something like 11-01-2007.mp3, so we can just click a link to get that podcast, knowing what the date of that show was, and next to that, have a description of who was on the show that day, what Alex talked about, etc.  We could go real fast back to any date and know by reading its description who was on, and with a little clicking, get the show, and even find out about those guests who might have been on.

I don't mean to be picky and I'm not telling anyone what to do, don't get me wrong.  It's just that the information Alex is talking about is so important that I think it would be beneficial, for example, to look down a list of podcasts on a page, read a description of one that catches your interest, and be able to get that show and listen that way.

And trust me, this is NOT an easy task!  We'd have to make sure to listen to every single show, and describe it.  We can't expect Alex and Aaron and "headquarters" to do all this all the time.  We the listeners can step up too!

I'm just not sure about hosting the podcasts from Alex's show.  We'd have to ask Ted Anderson about that.

Thanks for listening to me think as I type.  Smiley  Let me know if any of you have pieces to this already done.  Maybe we can all come together and help the work move along more quickly, if the will is there.

I assume you've been keeping a list since the first of the month? Could you tell me who the guest was just two or three days ago (27th or 28th) who was discussing the dumbing down of Americans and an offer for a free book? I'd look at the archives on the podcast website, but none of the links are working right now...

The Infowars past guest archives #1 - doesn't tell us anything about a specific day (have have to just click on a day and guess who was on for that day, letting the whole PAGE for that day load doing the search), and #2 - it doesn't tell us the specific dates for an individual was on the show.  It'd be nice to click on a name, get a bio, a website link, and a list of dates we could use to listen to that person on the show.

This is not the Infowars date archive page. It's a show/guest page with audio.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/audio.html

The descriptions are in human-readable format including the guest name. If you hover over each link and have the status bar enabled in your browser, you can see the file name which also has the guest name as well as the date.

Hey this is one little thing that would help, I don't know if the person uploading the podcast reads this or not, it wouldn't take much extra work maybe is to list the guests and topics in the description part of the podcast, you have to do this in the RSS document, Free Talk Live I know does this and it makes it easier to search for exactly what you're looking for.  I'd like to do this myself but cataloguing all these interviews I just don't have time to do it with the research I am doing myself.  I just figure someone is already taking the time to rip an mp3 up to a website, this is not that much more work if you already know what's on the air for the day.

There's a pretty good list on Wikipedia, although that only shows the famous people, as opposed to a full comprehensive list.

I would be glad to host a list on my site.  I will start working on it.  It will probably take A LONG TIME though.  But i will start it up as you have to start somewhere.  I could also perhaps link them to the shows they are in too.  But that will take a while.  Gotta start somewhere though.

I have started making the list.  My list only starts in April of 2007.  It will include the links to the shows i have archived.  I am up to July of 2007.  If anyone wants to make a list of any months and email them to me, this is how i have formatted my list...

Last Name, First Name    mm/dd/yy (of appearence on show) Day of Week.   If some people can make a list of a month and let me know what month and year it is for and email it to me at alexjonespodcasts (@) gmail (dot) com    I will put it into the site and get it up as soon as possible.  That will be a big help.  Thanks.  Again, I have already done April 2007, May 2007, June 2007, July 2007   That is just what i could do today in between actually working!  This site is my spare time and money, so please give me your feedback and if you can some help.  Thank you.

Ok guys, here is a preliminary.  www.alexjonespodcasts.com/Guests

That is only a few months worth of guests and it is a work in progress. I will ad links to their shows eventually.

What are your inputs?  What is more important, getting all the guests up first and delaying the links, or getting the links to their shows up first and delay getting all the guests up?  Let me know.  Also, any other ideas?  thanks for the help Grin

Get the guests up first. We need to have a reference...other sites have the .mp3s, but we need the database of guests.

I still think Alex should get Russell Means as a guest  (www.republicoflakotah.com)

He declared independence from the United States. The website doesn't tell you much.

Means was scheduled to come on some months ago (I think it was in March) but didn't make it.

He might have been on at a later date but if so I missed it.

List of shows first, then is a list of guests:

http://striver.info/index.php/The_Alex_Jones_Show

Klick on a guest to get a list of shows that gues have been on. Example:

http://striver.info/index.php/The_Alex_Jones_Show_%26_Ron_Paul

Note: work is still needed to be done, and your contribution is appreciated, just push the "edit" tab on the site! For example, after having added all the links to the shows were Ron Paul is included, make each link a summary of what he said!

Well, I see that Phil Jayhan from letsrollforums.com and what used to be letsroll911.org is not on that list at AlexJonespodcasts.com. And yep, he was interviewed back in oh, I dunno 2005 or so, maybe? I can dig it up if you want, I've heard it myself.
