Nope, that guy sent a message of warning concerning laxed security because he has a legitamate concern.  I see your point, but that would be an treasonous act, he knew the risk.  He said it anyway, that freaked Jon out and I think many others.  Shit it will be on in another hour.

so your saying this guy seems to think there is a credible threat to the president and is concerned that if we don't increase funding for his security that "something" could happen that would endanger him?

these guys are nuts, they just drop this stuff out of the blue like that.

Also, Jon Stewart is tape delayed, so Comedy Central made a decision to air this although it was wild.

So either they are just f-ing with us or the guy felt it was important and Jon/others also thought it was important.

I find it hard to believe that with the expanded growth of govt that they would back off Obama.

Almost smells like a stand down or a bluff of some kind to trigger a 'crazy racist birther.' Why don't they just refuse to protect Cheney and let that bastard fend for himself?

That is kind of the impression I got and he was like a Minetta trying to explain what is going on.

Anything else would almost be an act of treason, he knew what he was doing and Jon knew what he was doing by airing it.

Secret Service protection for former Vice President Dick Cheney has been extended.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/07/22/cheneys-secret-service-protection-extended-2/

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Protection for former Vice President Dick Cheney has been extended, Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

Donovan would not say for how long the extension will last. The extension, reportedly requested by Cheney, went through the standard process and was officially authorized by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano July 17, according to DHS spokeswoman Sara Kuban.

The extension was not based on a specific threat against the former vice president, CNN has also learned. Rather, officials believed the move was justified given the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, political debate about the Bush administration's strategies and Cheney's active public schedule, according to a government official with knowledge of the matter.

Ordinarily, former vice presidents only receive Secret Service protection for the first six months after leaving office. DHS told CNN this is the first time a former vice president's security detail has been extended beyond the standard duration.

–CNN's John King, Kevin Bohn, and Martina Stewart contributed to this report.

Not enough money for security?   BS
they just passed the biggest defense bill in history
the price of one B2 stealth bomber could provide all the security a president would ever need....

they cost around $1,300,000,000.00 USD.

Ronald Kessler
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Kessler

Ronald Kessler

Ronald Borek Kessler (born December 31, 1943) is an American journalist and author. He is chief Washington correspondent of the conservative news and commentary blog Newsmax.com.

[edit]
Personal life

Kessler was born in New York City in 1943. He attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts from 1962 to 1964, before embarking on a career in journalism. He is married and has two children.[1]

[edit]
Journalism

[edit]
Early career

Kessler began his career in 1964 as a reporter with the Worcester Telegram, followed by three years as an investigative reporter and editorial writer with the Boston Herald. In 1968, he joined the Wall Street Journal as a reporter in the New York bureau. During these years, his reporting won awards from the American Political Science Association (public affairs reporting award, 1965), United Press International (1967) and the Associated Press (Sevellon Brown Memorial award, 1967).[1]

[edit]
Washington Post

In 1970 Kessler joined the Washington Post as an investigative reporter and continued as a staff writer until 1985.[2] In 1972, he won a George Polk Memorial award for Community Service because of two series of articles he wrote—one on conflicts of interest and mismanagement at Washington area non-profit hospitals, and a second series exposing kickbacks among lawyers, title insurance companies, realtors, and lenders in connection with real estate settlements, inflating the cost of buying homes.[3][4] He was also named a Washingtonian of the Year by Washingtonian magazine that year.[5] In 1979, Kessler won a second Polk Award, this one for National Reporting for a series of articles exposing corruption in the General Services Administration; he won even though his editor, Ben Bradlee, had not submitted his stories for consideration.[4][6] Kessler's Washington Post stories reporting that Lena Ferguson had been denied membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) because she is black led to her acceptance by the DAR and widespread changes in its policies to increase membership by blacks.[7]

[edit]
Newsmax

In June, 2006 Kessler became chief Washington correspondent of Newsmax, a conservative website and magazine.[8] He writes the Washington Insider column for the publication, and his stories for Newsmax have included interviews with President Bush, Donald Trump, Sam Donaldson, Andy Card, CIA Director Michael Hayden, Mitt Romney, Sen. Joseph Lieberman, Lynne Cheney, Jim Cramer, Deborah Norville, Dana Perino, FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III, Brian Lamb, Margaret Spellings, Juan Williams, and Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan.[9] Kessler also writes Wall Street Journal op-eds, including "The Real Joe McCarthy," which attacked efforts by some conservative writers to vindicate the late Sen. Joseph McCarthy.[10]

[edit]
Author

After leaving the Washington Post, Kessler authored seventeen nonfiction books on politics and current affairs. Three of his books reached the general nonfiction New York Times Best Seller list: Laura Bush (2006), a biography of the first lady; A Matter of Character (2004), an admiring look at George W. Bush's presidency; and Inside the White House (1995), a behind-the-scenes expose of presidencies from Lyndon B. Johnson to Bill Clinton. A fourth book, The Season (1999), an investigative report of the lives of millionaires in Palm Beach, Florida, made the bestseller list for business books.[11] Kessler’s book The FBI: Inside the World’s Most Powerful Law Enforcement Agency led to the dismissal of William S. Sessions as FBI director over his abuses.[12] In his book The Bureau: The Secret History of the FBI, Kessler presented the first credible evidence that Bob Woodward’s and Carl Bernstein’s Watergate source dubbed Deep Throat was FBI official W. Mark Felt. The book said that Woodward paid a secret visit to Felt in California and had his limousine park ten blocks away from Felt’s home so as not to attract attention.[13] Jon Stewart of The Daily Show said Kessler's The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to Stop the Next Attack is a "very interesting look inside the FBI and CIA, which I think is unprecedented." [14] The Washington Times said of the book, "Ronald Kessler is a veteran Washington-based investigative journalist on national security...His unparalleled access to top players in America's counterterrorism campaign allowed him a rare glimpse into their tradecraft, making The Terrorist Watch a riveting account." [15] Kessler's next book, In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes With Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect, will be published Aug. 4. USA Today described the book as the "inside scoop on those grim-faced guys who protect the president." [16]

[edit]
Coverage of Barack Obama

In an article for Newsmax, on March 16, 2008, Kessler incorrectly reported, based on a previous Newsmax story by a freelance writer, that Senator Barack Obama attended a service at Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ on July 22, 2007, during which Rev. Jeremiah Wright gave a sermon that blamed world suffering on "white arrogance."[17] The Obama campaign denied that Obama had attended the church on the day that sermon was delivered and other reporters discovered that Obama was in fact in transit to Miami, Florida on that day.[18] Newsmax posted a "clarification" while standing by the story, suggesting that perhaps the sermon occurred on a different day in July.[17] Shortly after the controversy broke, Kessler confirmed to TPM that he attempted to remove information documenting it from his Wikipedia biography.[19] More recently, Kessler wrote Obama Was Born in the United States, exposing mythology about whether Obama is a U.S. citizen. He also wrote Obama is Quick Study in Intelligence Briefings, reporting that intelligence officials are impressed by how Obama takes intelligence briefings, and Obama Understands Washington 101, contrasting Obama's approach to cultivating Washington with George Bush's.

This is the third time today I got a funny feeling.

1. The FBI statement about Obamas BC
2. The Flouridation/Global warming hoax comments
3. This secret service statement

Seems to me like a multichannel predictive programming agenda. Incredible how sudden the flu becomes a side issue for a moment.
Imagine you are the president and someone of your staff would tell you that comedy central discusses security breaches in your protection, because of financial bottlenecks.

Also, thinking about it, the recent pardoning of the Bush administration could have triggered the next phase. What a rollercoaster.

I know this is completely insane!

How is this even possible?

We just spent over $24 Trillion to give to Rockefeller and Rothschild banking puppets and they say there are budget cuts.

Oh I forgot, he also said that this had something to do with SS now being under Homeland Security.

This makes no sense to me that SS does not report directly to the president.

SS's job is to protect the president, why should they have to go through Napolitano (or anybody else) in order to do their job.

He seemed to allude to that being an issue.

the only way it could be possible is either

A) it is intentional

or

B) someone is saying something they shouldn't be...(aka leaking inside info)

New Book Says Secret Service Cut Corners on Obama's Protection
http://www.politicsdaily.com/2009/07/21/new-book-says-secret-service-cut-corners-on-obamas-protection/
July 21, 2009

The U.S. Secret Service has cut corners in ways that may have jeopardized the safety of President Obama, according to a new book by a veteran Washington journalist and author, Ron Kessler. The book, "In the President's Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect," details instances of "laxness in how they protect" Obama, according to a source at Random House, which will officially release the book Aug. 4.

While the agents assigned to protect Obama and other principals are described as dedicated and valiant,

Kessler asserts that in recent years the management of the agency "has betrayed its mission by cutting corners, risking the assassination of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and their families," the publisher says. One current agent tells the author: "It's a miracle we have not had a successful assassination."

But neither the publisher nor Kessler himself, in an interview, would say what corners were cut or what the laxness entailed and how they endangered the president.

"In the President's Secret Service" covers much previously plowed ground, including the Kennedy assassination and the bloody 1950 attempt on the life of President Truman. But it also discloses assassination plots that have never been revealed previously, provides an insider's account of the Reagan assassination attempt, and regales (or dismays) readers with various salacious details ranging from Spiro Agnew's private life to the wild-child antics of the Bush twins.

"Jenna would purposely try to lose her protection by going through red lights or by jumping in her car without telling agents where she was going. As a result, in a total waste of manpower, the Secret Service kept her car under surveillance so agents could follow her," Kessler writes in an excerpt first obtained by The New York Post. Kessler also writes that Henry Hager, Jenna's fiancé at the time and now her husband, became so inebriated at a 2005 Halloween party that Secret Service agents took him to Georgetown University Hospital. Another time, he avers, Hager agents in Jenna's detail had to intervene when he became belligerent with other customers in a Georgetown saloon.

While such incidents may be in keeping with the normal high jinks of presidential families who chafe at being inside the protective cocoon, Kessler does not find it amusing; his treatment is a no-nonsense, ground-breaking look at an agency where a single lapse can result in tragedy. As a consequence, his narrative adopts the same ethos of the front-line agents in the presidential protective detail.

Kessler has written similar treatments of both the FBI and the CIA. Yet the Secret Service, he told Politics Daily on Monday, was an even harder culture to crack. "Everybody assumed they wouldn't talk, so nobody tried," he said. "But I've been gathering string for years, and ended up talking to a hundred agents." As a political writer, Kessler is identified as a conservative, which may have helped him with the old-school agents he interviewed. But, he told me, "this is a bipartisan book."

That's fitting, because assassination is a bipartisan plague. Inexplicably, it took the murder of three U.S. presidents (Lincoln, Garfield and McKinley), along with near-hits on both Roosevelts and a harrowing daytime shootout in downtown Washington that claimed the life of a heroic Secret Service agent in Truman's detail before this country got serious about protecting its presidents. Today, it's a thankless task that tests the patience of the First Family daily and which requires vast resources, skilled and tireless agents, a healthy dose of good luck, and eternal vigilance. In Ron Kessler's telling of the tale, there is ample room for improvement – especially now, in the Age of Terrorism.

WHAT THE F*CK IS THIS SHIT?

IS THIS PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING?

WHAT IS THIS SHIT?

THIS DEMANDS AN EXPLANATION! EITHER RELEASE A STATEMENT THAT SECURITY IS UP TO SNUFF AND THIS GUY SIGN OFF OR EXPLAIN WHY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS BULLSHIT!

We still need some video of this. Could someone please capture the next run, thanks?

If they take out Barry, the world would change in a minute. All the references to JFK, Biden's 'mettle' statement, the level of mainstream attention towards the BC, the health care disaster and now this? Are we watching the 'Manchurian Canididate' in real time?

Until now I could still see the developments in their singularity and shrug it off with a sarcastic comment. But this becomes something else and it's becoming ugly very fast. I hope Barry gets out of this alive, after all he's just a puppet with a family.

I agree, while I dislike his policies and what he stands for, I would never want to see anything violent happen to him...after all he is a human being with two kids and a wife! This needs to be looked into IMMEDIATELY!
